HTC Incredible :: How To Send Photos With Message After Froyo?
Sep 2, 2010If I attach a photo with a msg, get a "generic failure". Before Froyo I could attach a photo to a text msg and send it.

HTC Incredible : Handcent - Whenever Send A Message It Says Message Failed - Retry Cancel
May 19, 2010My problem is this, I downloaded Handcent and really like it, however, I can't send messages from home. I have marginal service here (around -98 avg.) but I do get 3G. Whenever I send a message it says Message Failed - Retry, Cancel? I've even had this problem in places with great coverage for both 3G and cell service. The stock messaging app works just fine. So what I've been doing is receiving messages with Handcent and then sending them using the stock app.
So, does anyone have any ideas of what I can do? Are there any settings that can be changed? Does handcent use 3G to send messages?
I'm now trying Chomp to see if that's any better. And, just an FYI, I'm having trouble with text messages, not MMS. I haven't tried sending any pics or videos yet, I've just been sending SMS.

May 2, 2010Why does the People / Contacts entry automatically set up a 'send message' for every phone number even if the phone number is not a mobile number? That means that even though 3/4 of the phone numbers don;t have text message capability, they have a send message.

Sep 3, 2010A day or two after updating to FROYO I randomly receive an error message that says " Sorry,The process com.android.mms has stopped unexpectedly.Please try again later." It asks me to force close also.It doesn't seem to affect anything but I'm wondering what this error means.Any insight?

Sep 7, 2010As I was clearing my entire inbox, someone texted me at exact same time. Now that message is stuck and will not go away. It will start randomly streaming in my notification bar, and at the bottom of the unlock screen. When I click on the person's contact information, it always shows I have a new SMS message from them. If you attempt to click it to read it, it just says "loading" forever. Also, when I receive a text it will show that I have 2 new texts since that other one is stuck there and technically still "new" since I can't click it. This has been there for days. I tried restarting the phone, I tried taking the battery out, I tried some program called SMS cleaner.. that thing will NOT go away. I've received texts at the same time I was clearing them with 2.1 but I never had this problem until the upgrade to Froyo. Anyone know how to get rid of it or will I need to do a hard reset?

May 14, 2010Found out yesterday that my "computer" is not sending text messages (using the native app). It caused an argument between my wife and I, and about damn-near caused a divorce. The bad thing is that, from what I can tell, it hasn't been sending ANY for a couple of days now. (Notice I didn't say that a potential divorce was not the bad thing ) I can receive texts all day long, not able to send them. In the time that I wasn't able to send them, I wasn't receiving any notifications that the text wasn't sent! I can go into the app, menu > undelivered and see 2 dozen texts there. Why am I not getting a failure notification if I have "Failure Notification" checked in the settings?
Because it went on for so long before being noticed, I have no way of knowing if I screwed around with the settings or if an app I downloaded has caused the problem. I've been tempted to use Handcent, but I'm leery about using something that radically changes the interface when I am a new Superphone and new Android user. Besides, it may not fix the problem.

I have handcent, but get the same error message with stock messaging app.
The only things I could find within the incredible forums was that it may be linked to a app bug, which that specific app I have never used, or this is a known HTC error which I can't confirm.

May 15, 2010Anytime i try and send an MMS through handcent i get "generic message failure" in the status bar. If i try to send through the native app i get nothing. just acts like it sent. i can receive mms from people on ATT/Verizon just can't send. May 1, 2010This is my first help post so please be kind.I noticed when I imported my contacts from my gmail account, that the phone is giving me the option to send a SMS message to every single number listed not just mobile numbers. Why would i want to send a text message to a land line phone that can't receive them? Is anyone else seeing this? I checked out a friends Eris and she is showing the send message option for mobile numbers only. Is there a setting I'm missing for this? Oct 11, 2012The instant upload feature on my Samsung Exhibit II wasn't working for several months. No it has started working again, so any pics I take go to instant upload as they should. But, the many pics taken during the months that it wasn't working are still on the phone and not on instant upload. It seems like it should 'sync' them but it is not - it is only sending any new pics I take, not the old ones.
