Is there any way to play songs which are in my Hero (while controlling phone's player) through my PC's speakers? I have both wifi and bluetooth on PC.

Coming from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something).
if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song.
I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.
how to play music using the speakers. I connected the speakers to my phone and played music using the google music player and the sound still comes from my phone's built-in speakers and not to the connected one. I'm not sure if I'm using the correct jack but it seems to be the same size as the one on the phone's headset. How I can play music through the connected speakers?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI had to change the housing for my HTC Hero GSM Unlocked, and though I believe I didn't break/crack or damage anything, especially the speakers, after reassembly my speakers are not working any more, no more audible ring tone, sound notifications. Everything else is working fine, and with earphones, I can hear everything. I even re dissembled it and couldn't find anything that was broken, or loose, or damaged. Can anyone anyone point me in the right direction please! OR anyone know where I can get a new HTC Hero GSM version internal speaker? I tried on eBay and couldn't find anything. are there HTC repair centers around NYC?

I dont like having to go to my comp to edit the album or name of a song. I was able to do this on my N81 and my hero is supposed to be an upgrade to that and I dont want to feel like I upgraded everything but my music support. Why haven't the reviews talked about how freaking loud the loudspeaker is? Is it me but coming from the Pre and the HTC Touch before that - this thing is like a rock concert. Seriously - have I just been missing out or the speaker really is Loud compared to other phones?
View 12 Replies View RelatedOne big problem I've noticed is that when you need to have your phone switched off (e.g. on an aircraft, etc.) it's all too easy for the phone to switch itself on whilst in your pocket - the "power on" button just needs the slightest tap and then it springs into life.I know whilst on a plane I could pre-set it to in-flight mode before powering it off, but that's not the point. Like when powering the phone off, there is a delay and a set of menu options. I'd like something similar for powering the phone on - programmable delay and/or combination of pressing say home and the "power on" button.Does anyone know of an app or some code I could run to alter the way the phone behaves ?. Not sure if the only way to add this functionality is part of a flash update as it needs to survive a power off, etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI went to sleep listening to a 6 hour playlist of thunderstorm sounds in spotify through stereo speakers. My alarm was set to go off 2 hours after the playlist ended. My alarm vibrated, and luckily woke me up, but it played no sound through my stereo speakers or through the phone's built in speaker. Is there any solution to this issue? Ideally, I'd like to listen to the sound of thunderstorms for 6 hours, and then have my alarm play the song that normally wakes me up through my stereo speakers.
I have a Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX although I doubt that's relevant. I'm sure its something to do with the software.
I'm looking for a better MP3 player for my Hero ... the stock player is ok, but in order to play a song by an artist, I have to click on that artist, then the album, and finally the song.
Is there a way to totally delete the album info so when I press Genesis (my favorite band in the world), I get all their songs? (and yes, I do have every album, cassette and cd they ever released!)
Or is there a better MP3 out there?

I woke up around 10am (2 hours late for work) and looked over at my phone. The alarm had gone off, but only in my headphones which had fallen off during the night. The only time I listen to music is when I am going to bed, but I no longer can because of this problem. Does anyone know how to make alarm clocks ALWAYS play over the speakers? Or do I just need to buy a new alarm clock?

My phone just randomly started playing a "commercial"? for some McAfee Deep something product, talking about phone secrutiy and stealth attacks and how attacks now start at the kernel level? There was no video playing, I was on my home screen while the sound was coming out.
I started closing apps 1 by 1 to see if it would stop. First I thought it was pulse, so closed it first, then Google Chrome and nothing. I ended up closing all of my apps and it was still playing!
At the end I heard the "Intel inside" sound.
Earlier I formatted my memory card, probably shouldn't but I thought that as I hadn't put anything on this should be fine. Is this where the sync programme lives, I'm guessing if it is I can download it from somewhere no bother. So, I downloaded a couple of songs off T-mobile, but since formatting my music player does nothing, just says that there are no songs. Doesn't let you search or anything.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I had my Voyager, I could use my bluetooth earpiece to talk on the phone, and also get the audio from the Navigation to come through the earpiece. I was surprised tonight that when I was using my GPS on the Droid it didn't come through my earpiece which resulted in me turning my radio down significantly so I could hear the phone.
I also have a stereo bluetooth headphones that I already paired and see the icon on the screen, but when I play a video or some music, it doesn't come through the headphones. Its still coming out of the Droid's phone speakers. Its showing that it is connected in my notifications bar too.
I dropped my moment in hot oil (370deg) for about 45sec and it still works..
The speakers are shot but every thing else is fine.
Anyone know of a media player that will play .flv files without having to convert to .mp4 or .3gp ?
Seems strange that youtube streams fine, but you can't play the downloaded files in the default media player.
I have read on other sites that this will work on HTC Hero 2.1, Can anybody verify this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently gone through all my songs and using mp3tag (PC software for tagging music files) I've tagged my songs, ie band name, album, album art work. I've checked in winamp and itunes and all the information is the same everywhere. All except the Hero phone. When I've transferred all my songs to the SD card most of them show up correctly, with right name, album, art work but around a quarter of them come up under "unknown" album. Does anyone know why this might be or how I can make the Hero player recognise the artist/album names?

They come out as .3gp files.When I try to play them back, each program either crashes (Quicktime, VLC), or tells me that it cannot playback this type of codec (Windows Media Player).The videos playback fine on the phone, just not when I bring them over to my PC.I am running Android 2.1 and Vista. Any help is appreciated.
