When playing my music, stock music app the music plays through loud speaker, even if headphones are plugged in. I've tried the HTC headphones and my own both used to work fine now even through the little headphones or headphones and mic icon is displayed the music still plays through the loud speaker. Its actually playing through both loudspeaker and ear phones.

Why haven't the reviews talked about how freaking loud the loudspeaker is? Is it me but coming from the Pre and the HTC Touch before that - this thing is like a rock concert. Seriously - have I just been missing out or the speaker really is Loud compared to other phones?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've noticed something weird with the stock music app....when I open the app (get the coverflow type view) or use the widget, the cover art for each song is horribly wrong. HOWEVER, if I enter the list view and go to albums in the app, the right art is show beside each album. As well, I installed MixZing music app, and it shows the right albums.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone has ever tried this new stock music player. I found (here:MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service or Mirror:new stock music.rar in the .rar file I included 2 things;
1. A Program called system app backupper
2: Data file for System app Backupper.
In order to install the new music app you have to either push the music.apk file in the sysAppBackup folder included, or you can fallow these steps.
Warning: I am not responsible for any bricked or broken phones.
*requires root*
1. Download .rar file included in this post.
2. Unzip
3. Copy contents of the "new stock music" folder found in .rar to root of sd card so that the folder titled "sysAppBackup" and the file called com.bg.sab.apk is sitting in the root of your sd.
4. Install com.bg.sab.apk to phone. this will install system app backupper to phone.
5. Open the app you just installed. when open it will ask you if you want to be in "backup" or "restore" mode.
6. Choose "restore"
7. On the screen it will just say "music.apk" (unless you already use the app) click on that to check it.
8. Press the menu button, and than press restore.
9. Restart phone.
10. All done.
If phone goes into boot logo loop, reboot into recovery and than clear cache/dalvik cache and fix permissions! I did not make any of these app, nor know who did. I would give credit to the developers if I knew who they were.
I started using MixZing lately and it bothers me that when I try to use the music controls on my bluetooth headphones the stock music app takes over. Is there a way I can disable the stock app (or if I remove it altogether will that cause other problems?)

View 11 Replies View RelatedI was playing some music today while doing some yardwork and i noticed it was stuttering at the beginning of just about every track it played. I listened to about 12-14 songs and it stuttered in the beginning on about 8 of them, somtimes it would also stutter a few seconds after that but would be fine after that until it went to the next song. Anyone else have this issue? I've got all the apps closed with advanced task manager, so nothing is running and eating up the processor or memory. Any ideas what would cause this or a remedy for it? Any help is appreciated.

After listening I've plugged headset out and now while I call to somebody I see there is a call on the device screen, but either me, either person whom I am calling to, doesn't hear the other person. While I plug headset again I can hear everything (on the headset), after another plug out problem still exist.

Unfortunately though, the lowest media volume setting is too loud through my headphones. It's seems to be either a choice of no music (i.e media volume turned to zero) or the next level up (which is too loud). Is there anyway to get a volume in between the two? I currently installed CM10 Jelly Bean on my Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch. I understand it is still in beta and there are going to be bugs but for the most part everything works smoothly. One issue I am experiencing is when listening to music, whether via Apollo or Pandora, I set the volume to as low as it can go and it's still extremely loud. Here is some of my info :

Has anyone noticed that the stock music player isn't very good at shuffling music? I have my playlist set up, and want it to shuffle while I'm listening at work. It will shuffle, but the problem is that it won't play all the songs on my playlist. I have about 500 on this particular playlist, and in an 8 hour day I will hear the same song 3 or 4 times. In the 3 weeks I've been using it at work, there are some songs that I have *NVER* had come up on the shuffle. I tried turning on just shuffle and not repeat, but same thing. Is there a fix for this, or does anyone have recommendations on a music player that I can download that is better?
** Clarificaion: By "recommendation" I mean more than "Get Product X, it's cool". Why is it "cool"? What makes it better than the other products?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI had to change the housing for my HTC Hero GSM Unlocked, and though I believe I didn't break/crack or damage anything, especially the speakers, after reassembly my speakers are not working any more, no more audible ring tone, sound notifications. Everything else is working fine, and with earphones, I can hear everything. I even re dissembled it and couldn't find anything that was broken, or loose, or damaged. Can anyone anyone point me in the right direction please! OR anyone know where I can get a new HTC Hero GSM version internal speaker? I tried on eBay and couldn't find anything. are there HTC repair centers around NYC?
