If I were to use something like chomp or handcent, would that have its own separate message history/threads And a somewhat related question. How much history can this phone store in terms of SMS conversations?

Two issues that are bugging me...
1) Is there a way to avoid notification sounds to take place during media playback, mainly music player, without having to change my sounds profile to silent, or vibrate?
2) All of a sudden my phone is taking a little long to load SMS conversations. Is there a way to fix that? I feel as though my Snapdragon shouldn't lag when I open a text.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi've noticed that once I update a system apk for the first time from the play store, it appears in the "My Apps" list on Google Play. However if I then disable that app, it still appears under the play store history (with "disabled" shown next to it), but with no way to remove it from the My Apps list. Aside from rooting the phone and removing the apk by hand (which I know causes the App to disappear from the My Apps list, disabled or not), and then reloading the apk, but disabling it before google play detects it again, is there any way to remove that app from the My Apps list in the play store? I've tried online through the desktop store but I can't find a way to do that either.

I've played around a lot with a friends Incredible, and while it's doesn't have what I'd call "excellent battery life," it's "decent" in my opinion. With the tweaks one can do on an EVO, will the EVO last as long as an Incredible? Or does the Incredible just blow it out of the water in terms of battery life?

I've looked through some of the threads that talk about how to uninstall some of this stuff, and I'm at a loss. Is there any way someone can explain how to uninstall bloatware applications in noobtard terms? I'm at a loss. Thanks in advance from your friendly neighborhood noob. For the record, I'm technically savvy, I've just never done this before and don't really know where to begin.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI've been having issues with pressing my Inc. say I want to choose the 1st conversation thread, I will press it and it will bring up a totally different conversation (sometimes the conversation I bring up is not even on the screen).Am I the only one with this issue? It is driving me crazy because on the go I have texted the wrong person a few times. I'm not even scrolling through conversations at the time, just bringing up the 'Messages' shortcut.

At the same time this started to occur my play store stopped working, just getting the "no connection, Reconnect"
I am using the stock app from samsung for calls and messages. Factory reset is something i would like to avoid.
Is anyone else having problems with gmail 2.2.1 not always going to your inbox?
What about it saying "loading conversations?"

Why do I have to view my texts as conversations? I like to see them in the order they came in. Why do texts with picture and video attached not 'play'? Instead, they show up as having attachments (a song and a picture). Why can I not figure out how to save a draft? I typed a message but decided I was not ready to send. Had to "discard" and retype later.

One thing I can't figure out is where dose the pictures get store to.(The Actual Directory) I did download ASTRO(Great Tool) but still am unable to hunt the actual store directory that the pics gets store to. Dose anybody know where this is. I also need to find out once I connect my phone to the PC how to get it off of the phone to my PC and or server. once I connect to PC all I see is the SD card and there isn't much in there.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically when i install a new rom, the market has now lost the free apps because thats what it does. the market must have some sort of file it maintains locally with the list of apps, and whether or not they are set to auto-update. where is this list so i can just paste it into my new rom, and market will automatically get all the apps and maintain the auto update settings.(also i know and use titanium backup so dont reply with 'use titanium', i just want to do what im looking for so the market always gets the latest version on a rom redo and also keeps holding the auto-update status.)

However, I'm not able to delete Navigation's Recent Destinations and Layers for Google Map.

I finally found a way to erase the market search history and I thought I'd share with you all. Just download the free app "History Eraser". Install, select "google apps" then clear market search histories. All nice and clean after!
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo i asked this question before, but it was about the time everyone was getting their D-Inc's and it was chaos in this forum, and no one quite understood my question. How do we delete a mail address from history. For example, i emailed JoeSmith @aol.com (who is not in my contact list), and realized that it should be JoeSmith @yahoo.com, now everytime i go to send an email, starting with the letter J, i see both the yahoo and aol email addresses and it says "history" to the right. I tried the "history cleaner" app, and also looked everywhere, but i can't find out how to delete email history anywhere. This happened about 5 times so far, so each time i go to email one of these 5 people, both email addresses come up and 50% of the time i'm choosing the wrong address because i forget that it was input wrong the very first time. Since it says history on the right of the email address, i can only assume there is a history marker somewhere showing me all the emails i've sent, but i cant seem to find it. I want to get these email addresses out of there because i'm always choosing the wrong one, and because i have OCD and can't STAND the fact that there is a wrong email address there. I tried to LONG press, and thought maybe i can delete from there like long pressing a text, or a full conversation, but no luck. Anyone have any info on this?

When I had a missed call, if I didn't clear my call history, when I turn my phone off and then back on again later, I still get the missed call notification on my lock screen. Is that a new feature they added or something messed up? If there's a way to turn it off, can somebody please tell me?
