all four of the buttons on the phone turned on out of no where this morning. i have it on my desk at work and it caught my eye as soon as they turned on. phone was sleeping. turned it on, no new messages, emails, calls, etc. any idea why they would randomly illuminate?

I noticed earlier that my Home, Menu, Back, and Search buttons decided to start lighting up randomly. It did this on and off for a few minutes. Anyone else seen this happen to their Incredible? Do you think it's an application? Because there were no actual notifications or alerts at the time. This isn't the first time I've seen this happen either. . .

View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else been experiencing this. Sometimes when I click on the Home Screen button, it doesn't always go to the home screen, it might go to the screen to the right or left of it.
also sometimes when I lock the phone and then when I unlock it, it doesn't always go to the home screen. it might jump around.
Sometimes when I hit the home screen or down error right above it, the desk clock appears.
this is all very strange, just wondering what all of your thoughts are. Could it be a particular app that I downloaded.
This may sound trivial, but when I watch a video at night, the four button lights at the bottom of the phone (home, menu,back and search) are so bright it distracts from the screen. Am I missing a simple solution to fix this? I've tried various brightness apps but none of them control these lights.

But I installed Nonsensikal 13.2 about a week ago, love it, and was about to basically settle on this as my default rom until Saturday. Starting Saturday my phone has become non-responsive about 5-6 times. Meanin the lock screen won't come on, and the power button will not turn the phone on or off.I'm assuming this means that the phone is still on when this happens, because if it had just powered down randomly I'd think the power button would turn the phone back on I have to pull the battery out and power it back on to start working again. I don't have setcpu or autokiller running, but I am running juicedefender (in case any of that is helpful for anybody.)
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust bought a Vibrant off of CL. I got it unlocked and it seems to be running well off of AT&T. I had a few questions though.
1) Whenever it is in the sleep/standby mode it will randomly flash on. I won't get any new emails or txt messages but it does stay on for a while until the screen timeout period ends
2) It does display a "Refreshing SIM data" message at the bottomish area every few minutes. Is this normal or is this an AT&T thing...
3) I was able to reset everything from going to the Settings>privacy>factory data reset but the instructions for a hard reset of "turning on the phone while holding down the volume down button" did not work. Has anyone been able to pull this off?
All in all I'm pretty jazzed about the phone. I like the Swype typing a lot as well as the overall speed and app installs. I'm coming from a work iPhone and an old school bar phone that could only call and txt. My wife has a iPhone4 and even though the facetime feature is nice I still don't like the restrictiveness of Apple products.
Sometimes when i power on my phone (from sleep mode), i get this notification. How to block or remove this thing?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to adjust the volume (ringer/media/navigation) I press the button and sometimes it's okay but mostly nothing will happen for up to 5 seconds and then all of the sudden it'll catch up and shoot right to the end. If I press it repeatedly instead of holding on, it normally takes a few presses before the first adjustment then it'll work pretty much okay but it might do a few moves then stop again randomly. The most annoying time is when I'm on the phone and I can't hear what's being said! I do not want to install a volume control app.

I am using No lock for the ability to use the touchpad to turn on but I hate using the power button to turn it off and leaving the screen on, even for 30 seconds, has to be draining the battery. (I am constantly on/off/on/off the phone throughout the day.)
I would like something I can put on the home screen that when touched, puts the phone to sleep. This will help save my power button in the long run as well. Ive searched and cant find anything.
When I wake up my Desire from sleep mode all the bottom buttons, menu, home back etc all illuminate except for the trackpad. Is this correct or should that illuminate as well ? Switching on my phone in the dark I can see all buttons except for the trackpad (not that I use it that much), just want confirmation that this is correct?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend and I both got Droid 2's on launch day and she has been having an issue today that she called me to complain about but I haven't seen it happen yet myself. I am hoping someone can help with my description of it, if not I will come back later with a more thorough description. Basically what she said is happening is randomly every time she tries to unlock the phone to read a text message or something a notification pops up and says something like you are connecting to the home/multimedia dock and then the dock pulls up. She closes it and then it wants to open itself up again. Has anyone else had this happen and know what causes it or how to fix it?

Hey everyone, I'm sort of new to this but I figured I'd give it a shot to see if anyone might have an answer.
This happens fairly frequently actually, but I'll be in an app (any app - it's not really particular) and sometimes it'll just randomly shut me out of it and return to the home screen. As it does this, the home button blinks and vibrates incessantly until I hold down on it - at which point it brings up a sort of mini-list of six apps (the last six apps I've opened, I suppose). Once I clear out of that list, then the phone resumes working normally.
I initially thought it had something to do with the memory and running too many apps at once, so I downloaded Advance Task Killer and run that occasionally...only to find the same problem occurring, sometimes RIGHT after I kill all the apps.
Has anyone else had this happen? Can anyone help me out?
I just replaced my Motorola Droid. Before when in the middle of a call or to hang up a call i just pull the phone away from my head and the screen would come on... or, i would have to use the power up button on the top of the device then swipe to unlock. Now in the middle of a call the power button is not working nor does the screen illuminate when i pull away from my head.

She was just playing and hit the home button was still trying to move a shape but brought up the recent calls list and dialed my boss! She doesn't mean to do it, but her hands are small. Most screen shots of Touchdown have the Home Screen Buttons on the left side. My Samsung Vibrant has them across the bottom and I can't figure out how to get them on the left.The Nitro Desk configuration manual shows them on the left, but the installation manual shows them on the bottom.It does not say in any of the manuals how to move them.
Just got my 1st problem with my nexus 1, had since january. my home and google search keys has stopped working. also the power button no longer locks the phone. problem started when the wi-fi wouldnt turn on, so i rebooted phone and then lost all these buttons when started up again. not done a factory reset yet as i am still at work and want to make sure ive got everything backed up 1st. also what is the best application for backing up sms?
