HTC EVO 4G : Way To Lock Home Buttons While Using Game

My 3 year old loves playing the puzzle game. Great way to entertain her for 20 minutes. But I really gotta watch her. She was just playing and hit the home button was still trying to move a shape but brought up the recent calls list and dialed my boss! She doesn't mean to do it, but her hands are small. So, is there a way to lock those buttons while she's using the game? It would be nice Or would it be more of an individual app feature that I'd need to contact the developers for the feature request?

I just Downloaded Panda Home. And bought Marvel theme its ok. I was wondering which theme should i download. I know its down to personal preference but what would you suggest? I also am looking for a different Phone Lock i am bored of PATTERN LOCK. I would like a Pin Number lock Like the IPHONE. Also How can i make my own Themes. I'm Into Marvel and DC Comics

Newbie to the droid phones. On the Behold 2, is there a way to lock all the buttons but the "lock" button. When my phone is in my pocket, the screen seems to be always on because I guess the buttons must get hit when I'm walking. I just don't like wasting my battery.

Discovered that the lock button on the side of the phone and the red end call button does not work...by themshelves! I have to push the home buttom and either one of the non-functioning buttons for it to work.
It's both a relief and pain to have figured this out. For the longest time, I thought the battery was horrid because when I would push the unlock button, the phone would not recognize it so the screen remains black making me think it off, out of battery. But then I noticed recently that the phone comes on when I hit the home button.
This is such a let down, you are never happy when your purchase breaks. Fortunitely I have the replacement insurance if it need be used. I was wondering if this is a known problem and can be fixed by me or if the phone need to be sent in for a replacement.

This may sound trivial, but when I watch a video at night, the four button lights at the bottom of the phone (home, menu,back and search) are so bright it distracts from the screen. Am I missing a simple solution to fix this? I've tried various brightness apps but none of them control these lights.

Has anyone worked out if it is possible to set one of the buttons on the bottom of the Desire to bring up the lock screen rather than using the power button at the top. Only just got the phone 3 days ago but this is (sor far) the only niggle I have.

In the past, when listening to music on my Incredible, if I locked the phone the music would continue to play just fine. If I wanted to pause/play/skip a song, all I had to do was hit the power button and above the "Slide to unlock" bar there was a music control bar.
Now, my music still plays, but those buttons are gone from the lock screen. This is a pain because in order to pause my music when someone comes to my desk at work I have to hit the power button, unlock the phone, slide down the notifications window, wait for the music app to load then hit pause.
Anyone know how to get these buttons back?

I am building an app which uses a WebView. This app runs at startup. Is there a way to maintain the app running(persists) even if the user presses the 'Home' or 'Back' button? In other words,pressing the 'Home', 'Back' or the other buttons shouldn't close the activity.

Is there any way to switch the Home and Search Buttons? The reason I ask is that I hold my Evo with my left hand and the the Home Button being on the far left isn't ergonomically friendly. (big hands) I would like to remap the Search to the Home.

I intend to buy an N1 soon, but I have been reading some reviews and I found many complains about hitting the home buttons by accident when you don't want them to work, and have problems pressing them when you need them. Was that issue already addressed in some previous OTA update? Or is it a hardware flaw? What can I expect about this problem?

Is there any way to disable the 4 buttons at the bottom of the screen? I forget if there's a term for them but the Home, Menu, Back & Search buttons? It's almost impossible to play some games because I inevitably hit them for a split second and I lose all my progress.

For periods of time, my Home & Back buttons doesn't work on my Desire. Sometimes, they work perfectly without any problems. My menu and search buttons always work fine. Is it a loose connection that i can repair somehow?
It has never been dropped or damaged in any way. I've tried to find someone with the same problem as I, but with no luck.

Most screen shots of Touchdown have the Home Screen Buttons on the left side. My Samsung Vibrant has them across the bottom and I can't figure out how to get them on the left.The Nitro Desk configuration manual shows them on the left, but the installation manual shows them on the bottom.It does not say in any of the manuals how to move them.

Just got my 1st problem with my nexus 1, had since january. my home and google search keys has stopped working. also the power button no longer locks the phone. problem started when the wi-fi wouldnt turn on, so i rebooted phone and then lost all these buttons when started up again. not done a factory reset yet as i am still at work and want to make sure ive got everything backed up 1st. also what is the best application for backing up sms?

Does any one have problems answering phone call? When I pull my phone out of my pocket 75% time my hand touches return or home pad and kicks screen out of call display. So I hear my phone ring but can't answer it as I'm in home screen or it just cancels my call. I thought it was something to do with the signal, but I tested it in present of Rogers sale rep and he was surprised that HOME and RETURN buttons can be activated in ringing mode?

i saw a video back when i was debating between evo and epic, and it showed me how to change those bottom 4 buttons (PHONE CONTACTS MESSAGING APPLICATIONS). i figure phone and contacts kinda go hand in hand so its a waste, and i use HANDCENT. now that i have the phone i cant figure out how to do it to save my life. anyone have any ideas?
The same feature also allowed you to swap around the applications view, and delete unused home pages. i dont need 7 pages id be fine with 4 or 5 (multicon FTW)

all four of the buttons on the phone turned on out of no where this morning. i have it on my desk at work and it caught my eye as soon as they turned on. phone was sleeping. turned it on, no new messages, emails, calls, etc. any idea why they would randomly illuminate?

I am making an Android game with an Activity called Game, a SurfaceView called GameView and a Thread called GameThread. The Game's onCreate(), I make a new GameView, which makes a new GameThread, where all the game logic and canvas drawing is carried out. However, I'm having some lifecycle difficulties. When I press back and restart it, it works fine, but when I press home and restart it, all I see is a blank screen. I just visited the sprint store today and was testing an epic 4g and found that the bottom buttons were very unresponsive and I had to press them multiple times (sometimes up to 6 times) to get them to work. The guy working at sprint told me all the epic phones are that unresponsive. Is this true?

Does anyone know if its possible to have on screen buttons on the Desire for Home, Menu and Back as I'm (perhaps unnecessarily) worried about wearing the buttons out so would rather be using virtual buttons on screen (even if that means losing a little of the display area).

If you ever tried to write a locker app on Android sure you meet this problem: Code...
Seems like onKeyDown is filtering out all keys but "Back" and "Menu". Well, it's not true! Home button will still bring you Home screen and End Call button will run native Locker application!
Fellow's out there also claim it as a problem: How to listen from ENDCALL button problem With Home Back screen button Suppressing Key presses in Activity, especially in Options Menu
Issue 4202: Feature Suggestion: permission for intercepting KEYCODE_CALL
Do you know any workaround to block two those buttons? Is the only way (as often) - write in C ?

I have a strange problem after using cm10 for a few weeks. suddenly my home and volume buttons aren't working most of the time. When I want to decrearse/increase volume and press the volume button (no matter if i press it fast again and again or if i wait a few second between pressing) it only goes one step louder every 5 seconds. Also when I want to lower volume. i also cant use cwm recovery cause my home button only works maybe once per hour. Now I have twrp touch recovery.
What i tried:
- wiped everything several times
- flashed gb and ics stock firmwares
- flashed different kernels

My girlfriend just got an x10 to match mine and for some reason every once and a while, the 3 buttons at the bottom completely stop working. At first I thought the phone froze but I could still use the on-screen keyboard and press whatever I wanted on screen but the 3 buttons wouldn't work oO This has NEVER happened with my phone.
After searching around a bit, I only found one solution which was "if you have a gel phone cover, take it off and see if it works." We tried that and it seems (so far, for an hour or so) that it's working fine. That doesn't make much sense to me as we have the same phone and the same cover - just a different colour. Anyone had this problem before? Should we be bringing the phone back or is there something I'm overlooking?
