You can add and manage your own sounds without a 3rd party app. manager.I copied some n otifications from the root to alarms on sdcard, "heaven" is sweet to wake defaults.

I'm looking for best application to manage notifications. Currently I use Light Flow but it don't allow me to set a different volume for different sounds and set up schedule (so at night my phone don't make any sounds).
Overall I want:
Different sounds for mails, sms, mms and others
Different LED blinking for mails, sms, mms and others
Different vibration pattern for mail, sms, mms and others
Different sounds for calls, mails, sms, mms and other WITH ABILITY to set up the volume separately. For example e-mail notification sound is always the lauded one even if RINGTONE VOLUME is set up for minimum (using physical vol buttons on phone).
Schedules - to set up that at night (00-07AM my phone don't make any noises.
Looking for an app to make my ringtone/notification sounds into profiles for work/school/home etc. I downloaded quick profile but it only changes my ringtones not my notification sounds.

But when I am in Settings for Notification Ringtones, I do not see the mp3 I added but only in Calling Ringtones. Why is this? I want to use the same ringtone for notifications too!.

The weird part is that selecting a tone to play for the alarm has also stopped being audible, so in some ways this leads to an obvious conclusion?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI am a new owner of the HTC Hero and I tried to customize the ring tones and alarm sounds by using the directions provided by leaky on the tread "HTC Hero: Tips, Tricks & Useful Apps" but unfortunately this did not work out for my Hero. My SD card appeared as DCIM and I had to rename it to SD card and then on the MEDIA folder I added an AUDIO folder in which I added three separate files. One named ring tones, one named alarms and on named notifications as directions provided by thread. Then I added the appropriate .mp3 files to each folder while having the Hero plugged in with my PC.

My girlfriends phone still has the option and I even tried to clear defaults and clear data from clock and ht sense and all that and it still doesn't let me. Any idea of how I can use different sounds for my default alarm clock. I used to be able to and my girlfriend still can.

I have a cool sound set for message notification (something like "Message arrives"). However, in the setting, there are only Phone Ringtone(for incoming calls) and Notification Ringtone(for both message and alarm notification. Therefor, when I do something like plug-in my phone to PC, the message ringtone is played, which is quite annoying. My question is that is there any way to set the separate sounds for message and alarm notifications? (maybe an app)

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis morning, I was trying to clear memory on my phone so the battery would last longer. I went to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, and I started going through the list and pushing the "Clear Cache" button. I pushed in on "Settings" and then the screen cleared and went back to my home screen, where the background was some random picture I've never seen before. It didn't recognize my memory card for me to change the picture, so I had to take it out and put it back in. Now, all of my notification sounds are this random song, and when I go to change the notification sound (for gmail or text messages), there are only the ones I have created in the options list; all of the original sounds that were on the phone before are completely gone!

One of my biggest annoyances with android are the notification sounds. If I'm listening to music, I would still like the sound to play, but not completely drown out my music in the process.
Ideally the notification sound should play at a lower volume (say %25) over my music.
Is there a way to get custom notification sounds on K9 mail? The ringtones I've created in Ringdroid don't show up in the "New mail ringtone" list under Account settings. Their default ringtone options are pretty weak. I'd like something I know I'm going to hear.
