May 10, 2010Right now my Voicemail Notification ringtone is the same as my text message ringtone, how do I change it? I don't want them to be the same.

Aug 18, 2010My fiance upgraded from LG Voyager to Droid 2. She wanted her old ringtones from the Verizon Media store so she downloaded them. When she stored them they were given default names. I was able to make the appropriate ringtone associations, except for voicemail. I have 2 questions:
1. How do you set a ringtone for voicemail? When I run the standard voicemail app (Verizon) I cannot being up a menu.
2. How do I change the name of a ringtone file?
HTC Incredible :: Cannot Change Voicemail Notification Sound
May 23, 2010I cannot change the voicemail notification sound. I go to messages ->settings scroll down to voicemail notification setting and then change the notification sound. But for some reason when I get a voicemail it plays a sound that I selected as notification sound in Sound & Display setting. The same sound that is used for email notification.

All was well.yesterday, I had a Voice mail notifier appear and it was the symbol that looks like a cassette tape sort of. This ca be accessed through the basic SMS messages icon.It wants me to dial my # and listen to a message. There is no message, and I do not know how to clear the notification.Also, I do not know where this VM came from and I want to get rid of it so it does not happen again. removing the Messaging tab and reinstalling it, nothing changed.

But when I am in Settings for Notification Ringtones, I do not see the mp3 I added but only in Calling Ringtones. Why is this? I want to use the same ringtone for notifications too!.

May 17, 2010I used the htc ringtone trimmed for one of the song in my music library on my phone and I'm sorry if there is already a thread for this but how are you able to delete these ringtones when you no longer want them? The program its self works fine for making ringtones but I cannot find anyway to delete them. I even looked in Astro. If someone doesnt mind could they please lend some advice on this. I've searched in the forums and I havnt found a solution to it.

May 20, 2010In the past when I get a voicemail in my Google Voice box the notification disappears after I listen to the message. Today I have a new voicemail and I go to listen to it in Google Voice and the notification still remains. Oddly, the number showing in the notification is the number of my Google Voice account and not the number of the caller. How do I clear this alert?

Aug 11, 2010I have AT&T with the Samsung Captivate.I came from an original iPhone The iPhone was having lots of issues such as getting a new voice mail notification but no missed call, or I would get a missed call and they said they left a voice mail, but I would get no voice mail notification.Texts were hit or miss and my wifi didn't work...and I guess that isn't really relevant to this conversation.Anyway, since AT&T finally put a decent android phone on the market, I got the captivate on Monday. Right out of the box it said I had 1 new voice mail. I check my voice mail and it says I have no voice mails. 2 days later it still says I have a voice mail, but when I check i don't. This is very frustrating. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can fix this problem? One thing I was thinking is that on the iPhone system I have a voice mail that I never checked and the captivate is reporting on that, but I'm not sure if that's really how it works.

Motorola Droid :: Get Rid Of Voicemail Notification
Jul 24, 2010Out of nowhere, I got a voicemail notification in my notification bar.(Cassette looking thing) I don't remember ever seeing it because I've had Google Voice for so long.
I've tried Powering on/off, battery out, uninstalling GV, hour on phone with VZ tech support. The notification bar doesn't give me a clear option.
If I call*86, it says I have no voice mails.
This notification is very annoying and I don't want to do a factory reset..
