Samsung Moment :: How To Connect Phone Via USB Cable To Computer?
Jan 31, 2010How to connect my phone via USB cable to my computer. I know you turn off USB debugging option under development. I connect the USB cable that came with my phone to USB on my computer and then to my phone. At the top of my phone it comes up with the notification to mount my card touch on that and them my phone comes up saying to turn off mass storage. Using Windows XP and in explorer can see the SD card showing as a drive in my list however when I click on it it shows nothing.
I can see the notice of the usb drive in the listings showing that I can turn it off, which I do before I disconnect the phone from my computer. Then I try to connect the USB again to my phone and all it does is show its charging the phone now, usually the only way to resolve is either to restart my computer or restart my phone and the problem starts all over again. I am tired of taking the card out of my phone manually to connect it to my computer to move or copy files or anything to my card which is an 8GB sandisk micro sd card.

Jun 6, 2010I just took some pictures with my g/f's incredible and I could not find the 100media folder when I try to take pictures from the computer.I mount it on the disk drive, went to DCIM folder, and I only can find .thumnails folder, and Camera folder.When I clicked on Camera folder, it's empty.When I try with my EVO, 100media folder shows with no issues and I can find my pictures with no issues.

May 10, 2010so i tried to use the camera for stills and video this weekend. the video looks great, and works fine on my phone, but i have no sound on my computer thru windows media player. I'm sure its just a codec issue, but does anyone know which codec?
photos on the other hand were really bad grainy or blurry depending on which one fast motion was horrible (but i really wasn't expecting much there) way too long a delay between button push and photo capture the kids kept moving during the delay ruining the photos.
Has anyone gotten good results? what settings? i currently have everything to auto/default. sorry i cant load a pic to show u, they are all too big to post here
Sprint HTC Hero :: Computer Won't Recognize Phone With New Cable
Aug 2, 2010I recently lost the charger and cable that came with the phone, and bought another one, but the actual connector is slightly different. When I plug my phone into my computer, I don't get anything, either on the phone or on the computer, except that the phone does start charging. I get no "start USB service" or whatever option in the phone and the phone does not show up as a drive. Nothing, nada, zilch, zero. I'm guessing it's the cable, but I'd like to confirm before going out and buying another cable.

Dec 28, 2012I am trying to connect my Samsung Galaxy Express to my W7 PC with a usb cable. I was able to do it last week. I have changed nothing. Suddenly, it won't connect. But it does charge when connected to the PC. It also does not work in my W7 laptop, though it charges in that also. Further, my wife has an identical model phone, and it works in both computers. And just for fun, I tried two different usb cables, not that I even expected that to make a difference.
I have been through the abysmal tech support attempt - which basically told me to do everything I already tried from a google search. Settings changes, all that junk.

I've installed all the drivers from the "How to get back to stock" thread in "all things root" and Ive installed drivers from LG's website. The computer installs them fine but when i open LG Mobile it says "disconnected, please connect phone." Mass storage is turned on, and Ive tried this on multiple computers at work.

Jun 16, 2010I have solved the problem of the phone not connecting to the computer! Just needed to buy a new DCU 100 cable for the darn thing! Big thanks to Toe-cutter who was very patient with both my lack of knowledge and of patience! I'm looking for some help in connecting my Hero to my computer. I haven't has problems until today but now I can't get the darn phone to connect. I have tried my work computer (Windows XP) and my home computer (Vista) and I have also tried four different usb cables, including the HTC one. I have also done a factory reset, taking the battery out and anything else I can think of including reinstalling the drivers & HTC sync If anyone can help I'd appreciate it - I need to be able to sync my phone to my calendar for work. I've got a Razr Maxx that I'm looking at replacing and was looking at the new Droid Maxx but I'm concerned about the lack of HDMI out. I'm a boater and have a TV on my boat. I connect my Razr Maxx to my TV with a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable and watch Netflix when I'm on the. I'd hate to give that up but also realize that my Maxx won't last forever.

HTC Hero :: Phone Keeps Rebooting - Connect To Computer
May 3, 2010i rooted my phone around a couple weeks ago, and have been trying different types of roms. Today i decided to switch to the fresh2.0d rom and so i placed the zip folder in the root of the sd card. i booted in recovery and selected flash from zip. Once complete, my phone keeps rebooting at the "HTC Quietly brilliant" screen. It does it over and over again. i tried reflashing, taking out the battery and nothing happens. I cant connect to the computer and have no idea what to do.
