selling my incredibile. i thought i read a thread somewhere where it said you couldnt hard reset your phone cause it woudnt read towers or something? i dunno. but the point if i cant hard reset then how do i erase all the data off my phone?

Somehow my YouTube app got my other YouTube account put in it. I have since unlinked my gmail and YouTube accounts and can no longer use YouTube. I keep getting no connection errors. How can I clear the YouTube logon data?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo if I do a Factory Reset on the phone it still has some of the old photos/videos I took, which leads me to believe it doesn't fully clear the device of everything, just the settings that I changed are returned to their factory defaults (duh!).I was curious if I do the Clear Storage option, which means turning off the device and holding one of the volume toggles while holding the power button - would that mean that the entire Android OS would be removed, or does it mean it does a format of the phones entire partition and re-installs Android (similar to a reformat/recovery partition on a computer)? In which case I would need to reactivate the phone doing the simple *228.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a Mac user (photographer/ videographer). I also rely heavily on my iPod Touch when mobile (i can often find a wifi signal when i am out and about). I use iCal on the Touch and iCal on my Mac as well as the address book on both everyday and as a Mobile Me user, my two devices sync so everything is mirrored and up to date. I also HATE AT&T for their terrible signal strength and coverage and have been a loyal Verizon customer for many years and this is why I don't have an iPhone. Okay, all that being said, is there an easy way to still use everything I love and rely on with my Mac (the calender and address book, mainly) and easily sync all of my existing information and future info to an Android based device? How easy is it to use an Android device with a Mac? I don't want to have to manually re-enter my entire address book into a new device.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA couple of the reviews refer to the app space and say that none of the 8gb is for apps and you are constrained to the rom. This makes no sense, based on the 768mb free storage showing up in snapshots of some of the reviews. Logic is taking a hit here:
1. 768mb shows free for storage
2. Internal media memory shows 6.6gb
3. If 8gb flash, about 7.8 should show free (not 6.6)
4. If apps are constrained to the 512mb rom (as reviews state), the OS and preinstalled apps would take up space, so 220mb or less would be free with Android 2.1 and the Sense UI
5. 768mb free on a 512mb rom is impossible- even excluding how much space the OS and preinstalled apps take.
In the Gmail app on my Incredible, when composing a message, i start by addressing the email in the "To" field. If I want to send an email to "Jonathon Blackburn" i start typing "jonat" and a list of emails comes up like: Jonathon Blackburn <jonblack@ Jonathon Blackburn <jonathon@ But the rest of the contact info is cut off, so I do not know which email I am selecting and whether it is office of home, etc. Is there a way to change the font/setting so that it includes the entire email address and whether it is a work or home address?

I've got the full page calendar widget, but none of the birthdates I enter for any of my contacts sync over to that calendar. All was well.yesterday, I had a Voice mail notifier appear and it was the symbol that looks like a cassette tape sort of. This ca be accessed through the basic SMS messages icon.It wants me to dial my # and listen to a message. There is no message, and I do not know how to clear the notification.Also, I do not know where this VM came from and I want to get rid of it so it does not happen again. removing the Messaging tab and reinstalling it, nothing changed.

We were comparing the people in the bar to the people in the photos and we found some hilarious matches. Anyway, that was last Thursday. Now I see that the pictures that were pulled up on my phone are now easily viewable by merely trying to attach a picture to a text message or an email. Basically, if anyone looks at my phone and tries to see my pictures or something they will see these stupid pictures. The phone says these pictures are saved in the SD Card Cache. How can I clear this cache? I've unmounted the card, twice. No go. I've uninstalled the horrible program (it was free and you get what you pay for, I guess). I needs me some help! I've been perusing the interwebs looking for help and this forum seemed like the most active place right now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEverything was fine (since 4/28) until yesterday....all of a sudden, there is a notification in the status bar for 2 new voice mails- I am, and have always used google voice for my voicemail - the notificaiton says to call my gv number, which is unusual, because it usually says that one of my contacts left a voicemail - anyhow, I have no new gv messages - went online and deleted all of them, also powered on and off the phone, even removed the check mark in settings to notify in the status bar......can't get rid of this this notification....there is no "clear" option, as you usually get when checking notifications from the menu button
Even calling my gv number manually, entering my pin, and hearing "you have no new messages" doesn't remove the notification from the status bar....this is very weird. Anyone else exp something like this from gv ?
I have a website that I have to log into and out of everyday. I usually do it from my phone to make it easier. I accidentally put in the wrong user name one day and now that user name is saved in there and I have to retype my actual user name to log in. Is there anyway I can clear the history somehwere so it wont save that one?

When I had a missed call, if I didn't clear my call history, when I turn my phone off and then back on again later, I still get the missed call notification on my lock screen.
