When I plug my phone into my computer via USB, nothing happens. I don't get a notification although the phone charges which means it is plugged in. But as I said no notification so I can transfer things between my computer and my phone. Any ideas anyone? I'm running 2.1 V2 and this just happened as of today. It was working fine yesterday.

For the past couple of hours I have not been able to connect to the market. It keeps saying there is a connection error. I have tried on WiFi, 3G, and 4G, but still have troubles. It wont load a single app. Anyone else having troubles?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is my first Android phone so I might just not know what I am doing. At work we have an open wi-fi network for patients and visitors to connect to. When they connect for the first time they are automatically re-directed to a sign on page where they must provide their e-mail address. After that they are free to use wireless internet services. My EVO will not re-direct to the page. When I tried it on a friends iPhone it worked just fine. My phone has not been rooted and i have tried both the default browser and two that I downloaded from the market. The phone is connecting to the WiFi and getting a strong signal.

tried usb debugging tried it off.. when i plug it in nothing will pop up that will say it is. it will charge.. but thats about it. it wont let me change from pc mode to mass storage.. upgraded drivers.. tried Motorola media link.. tried turning it off with the sd card unmounted.. tried removing the battery.. did a hard restore. i tried on 3 computers in my house. nothing seems to be working out. all i want to do is put a video from my phone to my pc.

I can't seem to find a way to adjust my wireless settings so that it will allow me to enter the information. It only lets me enter password information. I know it requires both because I have connected to it on my computer. I know that there are other networks available, but there is reason that I want to use this one.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently bought the remote for ituens app. The problem I have is, I cannot link my desire with my imac to use it as a remote. I have paired them via bluetooth but cannot connect them via wifi. I don't use a wireless router to connect to the internet because of security issues. Surely as the HTC is a wifi enable device and the imac is a wifi enabled device they should be able to talk to eachother without a third party router in between them.

View 9 Replies View RelatedRecently put some mp4 files on my phone to watch but i can't get them to work. The movies show up but all the screen shows is a gray box in the top with a black box underneath it with no picture.
I can get the sound to work but no video.
Sometimes when I have been in airplane mode and then turn it off, I have to reboot my phone to get any kind of signal. Is there a quick fix to this or is it a common problem amongst eris users?

View 4 Replies View Relatedi got an S3.. and my computer has xp pro. i had to restore my computer recently from a saved image of my system. before i restored my computer, i was able to connect my S3 to it via USB with no problem. but after i restored it, i'm unable to.
i downloaded and installed the MTP driver, which got my computer to recognize my phone before i restore it. but now its not working and i dont see it listed in Device Manager. whats weird is that when i connect my S3 to my computer, the phone doesnt give any notifications that the phone is connected to USB like it used to before. and it also doesnt give me the 2 options of connecting by either MTP or Camera. all it does is charge my phone.
I have been pulling my hair trying to read forums and find the correct solution to my issue. Whenever I connect to the computer whether its on "charger only", "disk drive", or whatever, it still doesn't allow me to access my SD card.I've tried the following:
1. uninstalling doubletwist
2. connecting, going back from charger only to disk drive.
3. ejecting the removable hardware and switching from charger only to disk drive and still nothing.
If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate this.

So while I am fairly good with computers, I am pretty new to android phones. I have been trying for a few hours now to connect my phone (Galaxy S2 d710) to my computer to use in QPST and similar programs. The only way that I have been able to get it to connect in modem mode (not usb modem tethering, that is) is to turn my phone off and boot to the Odin flash page thing. Problem is, Odin is the only application that can communicate with my phone when it is like this. I have found several guides on how to change the usb settings temporarily to a modem connection, but all of the numbers and codes it tells me to type in either don't work, crash, or go to a blank page.
Just realized that I should probably note that I am rooted and running cyanogenmod.
Am I the only one who has trouble with PDaNet Free Edition losing connection about every 20 to 30 minutes?

And nervous, is that weird? 1. I have a MacBook Pro w/ my music on itunes, although I didn't buy any of it through them. Is there any issue with connecting my new phone to my computer and getting my music stuff on it? Is it easy or do I need to read about how to do it from somewhere? I got my DInc replaced, and im putting some media back on my phone. When I mounted my phone im getting 3 drives now. E drvie which is my phone storage F drive which is my memory card and a new super secret D drive, which has weird content in it.a program called TL-Bootstrap.exe?? Any ideas of what the hell this is. Im not running this .exe till I know whats what.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had installed the "quick settings" app that was mentioned in another thread. When I tried to open it this morning to turn on the mobile network (I usually keep it off at home), a message popped up saying the application was not updated properly and it needed to be removed and reinstalled. I tried to go to settings>wireless controls to turn on the mobile network but that isn't working either. When I look at the button to turn on the mobile network in the settings, it says "standby to connect to mobile network", I click it, it goes away and says "connect to internet" but when I click it again it just tries and then stops after a minute or so. I removed the quick settings app and restarted the phone, but that didn't help.This happened once before and I just connected to WiFi and reinstalled the quick settings app, but now I'm somewhere where I don't have WiFi access. If it matters, I also have a shortcut button installed to turn the mobile network on and off, but that isn't doing anything either. Any suggestions?

I get a page "You are not authorized to view this page" web page..Anyone else have this issue? Is this a limitation of Android? I've tried messing with all the settings and still nothing.
