Jun 15, 2010I did a search but cant seem to find an answer. I finally got my work email set up through active sync. Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

Is there some way to prevent it from syncing email? I only want the calendar to sync, but I can't find an option to disable email syncing. Any apps that can accomplish this?
Constantly syncing email all day is really draining on my battery.

Apr 2, 2010I'm planning to buy a new phone next week (last one got stolen), and I'm kinda thinking about an android one. I've got three requirements: -An easily manageble "to do"-list om the home screen (e.g stickynotes) -A good calendar (which may or may not be able to sync with google calendar, no biggie!) -Ability to sync my adress book with an online server (google sync?) every month or so...(That was two years' worth of contacts, damnit Anyway, my question is this: Would an android phone really be the best choice for me? I'm kinda on a tigt budget, and I've heard horror stories of Android phones/Iphones having to connect to the net every day or so... But the only thing I really need the internet for is for syncing (the adress book once a month, the calendar every week or so), checking my mail now and then and for downloading the occasional app (e.g. stickynotes).

Jul 24, 2010On the iPhone I was able to go into the database that stored the calendar colors and modify them to my liking. For google calendars the colors seems to follow what's in my online gmail calendar, however I would really like my exchange calendar to be "Navy Blue" instead of orange.

Oct 2, 2010Anyone else missing random meetings on your phone? I can't seem to find the pattern. Some have a URL, some just a con call #. Yet I can recreate test meetings with both and they come through the device. Here's what I've tried:
-I've remove the account and recreated it, but the problem remains.
-Upgraded to 2.2 OTA
-Rooted, installed CM6 and Virtuous 2.7, issue remained with both.
-Finally installed Touchdown, but the issue remains.
HTC Incredible :: Exchange Calendar Having Sync Errors
Aug 19, 2010i have htc incredible and activesync is working fine for mail and contact.but i noticed, when i look at the account setting for by exchange account, that the calendar is getting a sync error - 'synchronization is experiancing problems.not sure what to do or where i can find more info on the issue. there are some events in my phone calendar, but others are missing.could it be one corrupt entry that is stopping things? any way to drill down (on phone or server) to figure out what the issue might be?

Jul 7, 2010I am having a calendar problem Microsoft Exchange/Active Sync. Calendar items I enter in my Incredible show up on Outlook. Initially, my Outlook calendar items also showed up on my Incredible but those calendar items have now disappeared after about three days and any new calendar items entered in Outlook do not appear. Email works fine and contacts entered in either Outlook or the Incredible sync without a problem.

May 11, 2010ActiveSync with Exchange works great with one exception. I can't create an Exchange calendar entry on the Dinc because Exchange is not listed as one of the calendar choices when creating a new calendar entry. Any calendar entry created on Exchange is synced to the Dinc & any Dinc modification to an Exchange calendar entry is synced back to Exchange. Just can't use the DInc to create a new calender entry on Exchange.

Aug 28, 2010I'm having an issue with my Exchange calendar. I currently sync my calendar and email through Exchange. Events added to my outlook calendar via computer show up on my phone and work perfectly. But, when I add events to my phone calendar, my only available calendars are my google calendars and my PC Sync. I never use PC sync. It does not give me the option of adding events to my Exchange calendar.
I had to reset my Exchange account after the Froyo update, and I thought that I had everything working properly. I don't add events to my outlook calendar through my phone very often, so it's likely that this has been an issue since Froyo. Has anyone else run into this problem or have any ideas how to fix it?

Nov 20, 2010Earlier today my phone stopped automatically syncing with my work Microsoft Exchange. Yesterday was perfect ( I have had the phone for 3 months all ways synced before). I did a soft reset, nothing. Hard reset, nothing. All the setting are the same. It just continuously tries to sync, but never connects. Will I have to set up the account again or what ?

Apr 29, 2010When using the Exchange ActiveSync mail, I'm trying to enable the HTC Incredible to view e-mail in HTML format.I've gone to Settings --> Send & Receive... but the "Message Format" option is greyed out and not enabled.I then tried switching the "Mail size limit" from 10KB to "Entire Mail" as one user suggested for the HTC Hero on Sprint - but that didn't seem to work either.I've also seen in places that Exchange 2007 or 2010 is required to get HTML email... we're about to upgrade, but we're currently on Exchange 2003 - so that could be the cause of the issue for whatever reason.Has anyone had any luck with this on the HTC Incredible?

Nov 5, 2010I'm just wondering if anyone else is seeing this issue. Since the Froyo update I've had every Droid Incredible phone(the only droids at our facility) have this same exact issue. The phones will just randomly stop getting emails. But once the user goes into "Email" it refreshes itself and they started getting all of their emails. I even tried a different email app to see if there was something that at least worked. "Improved Email" seemed to do the trick until that too stopped getting emails all of a sudden too and the only way to reset that is to reboot the phone, and then all of the emails will come through on boot up. I am at a loss as to what is causing this. All of our other smart phones(non droid phones) are running fine. It seems as soon as the Froyo update hit these phones, email has been a struggle since.

Apr 29, 2010I have the D Inc and have a question. Is there anyone to create filters in Active Sync Exchange that filters out emails so they don't hit your Inc. I have a rule setup in Outlook that automatically sends an email sent by a specific email address to go directly to my deleted items in my Personal Folders in Outlook 2007. The reason why i ask is because on my BB Storm, I setup a filter that blocked these emails from going to my BB In box. I also remember on my Moto Q with Win Mobile I always also able to setup a filter as well. I work at a help desk with a ticket tracking system, the system sends an email for every ticket opened by the help desk to all help desk employees, so my in box can fill up quite quickly. I did notice that if I have Outlook opened up on my desktop these emails do not show up on my D Inc, but when I close Outlook (Like I did last night before I went home), they are showing up today on my Inc.

May 18, 2010I wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem. I have my work e-mail setup to work as an exchange activesync. Everything was great up until about 3 days ago. I noticed that i was not receiving emails unless i manually updated the email. So i looked in settings/Send & Receive and under the Set download frequency it was set to "manual". I think to myself that weird since it was set up to "as items arrive" before. I then switch it back and after an hour still no emails but i am getting them on my computer. They use to actually get to my phone before my computer. Anyways i go back and try again but it seems it keeps defaulting back to "manual". I really want to avoid calling verizon since the last tech support called i made took 45mins to resolve the problem.

I would like to have all the calendars sync using the phone as the main source. So for example if I create a meeting on my phone it also shows on my exchange calendar and my google calendar. At the moment I have to add a calendar entry under the calendar I want the entry to show up on.So If I add an entry to my exchange calendar it doesn't show in google calendar. I have tried an application called Touchdown (something that many members of this forum have suggested) and can confirm that they address book searching works perfectly fine.
Does anyone know how I can get it to work on the native app? I have the latest HTC Desire firmware with software number 1.21.405.2
