When I click on 'your account' it used to show me my remaining minutes, texts, data etc.Now, it doesn't. Anyone else had this problem? Tried phoning Orange but, surprise surprise, not much help - they didn't even know you could view remaining minutes from the phone!

have recently received Hero (Orange UK) as upgrade.Followed the incredibly helpful Tips & Tricks thread to get phone set up at it's best.Have been very impressed with phone, but have come across problem that's puzzling me. Have been trying to download FingerPlay MIDI from the market, but can't navigate to download page on phone. Have downloaded various other apps from market successfully. Contacted developer who has been very helpful & he's done all possible at his end to make app visible. Have read some threads regarding visibility of certain apps in market & problem with Orange network. Does anyone know if this is still an issue? Could any other Orange UK customers take a minute to see if they can see FingerPlay MIDI in market?As long term MIDI music user this is an app I'd love to try.

I tried searching for this information but could not find anything about it. I am considering an Android device (one of the ones on the Rogers network in Canada - and yes I am aware of the "they're all on 1.5 with a chance that they will never be updated" issue) but have some uncertainties. From what I have read, I can use the HTC Sync app bundled with the Magic/Dream to get my Outlook (pst) contacts into a Gmail account (which is the primary repository for all PIM info in Android, right?) and then the Google Calendar sync to get my Outlook (again, pst) calendar events. Super. Completely understand that (assuming what I said was right).I've also read (repeatedly) about how you can only have one gmail account in the mail application. I can tolerate that (don't like it, but can live with it). However, if my understanding is correct, Android comes with a Mozilla HTML browser, right? If I opened that and went to http://mail.google.com/ would it open the primary gmail account (the one the phone is linked to) or would it prompt for user/password? Further, if it does autologin, what if I clicked the sign out link and logged in as a different user? Would the phone go "kerpluey"? To be clear, I'm not expecting Android to sync ANYTHING from this other account; just wondering if I could access (read/respond) the gmail via the web browser. (Example: we're out and my wife wants to look up something in her gmail account using my Android smartphone is that possible?)Also, I read about some people discussing the installation of a second instance of the gmail app to get multiple account support. Is that even possible on 1.5? What would it do to things like contacts?

AT&T had a nice app where at the touch of a button you could see your data and minutes usage for the current billing cycle. I found the Sprint Zone app and got logged in but when I went to my account no usage data shows up.
View 1 Replies View Relatedthe connection via my wifi is intermittent at best - usually telling me page not available / connection error , occasionally it does connect but hangs up when searcging - the weather widgets / gmail update regularily . I have used the browser , google widget and downloaded mini opera - all same problem. Secondly , I havn't been able to view youtube vids and only minimal success with beeb player {this may be more to do with the connection dropping off but what I saw wasnt great quality.A nokia n95, which hadnt been used for web browsing until I tried it this morning, was fine browsing using the same wifi network & viewing iplayer.I so want to love this phone [ having rubbished my iphone / nokia friends ] but a quick look through the forums suggests there may be problems with Wi-Fi.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI followed the guide to the letter (gold carded) and received the Network locked screen after installing the HTC ROM ending 405.5 and receiving the updates for 2.1. By the way my Hero is Orange branded with Orange SIM and the product number is 99HHM022-00. Apart from waiting for Orange to release the update, whats my options? Read through numerous threads, but I'm confused whether an unlock code would work or whether its just better to bite the bullet and go for a Villain ROM that allows apps to install to SD cards. IF I was to go for a Villian ROM would that contain a compatible radio for my Orange phone, and would the Villain ROM work on my Orange branded Hero by just following their guide? I dont really want to have to wipe my phone again if its not going to work, so was just asking you guys for advice?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to figure out why some of the thumbnails of attached pictures don't automatically show up when I open the message. It seems like when I open an older message that has 5 or more pictures in it, it will not show the thumbnails, so I have to go through and click preview to see them. And then it will only keep the thumbnails visible for the first 5 that I previewed. And sometimes it won't show any of of the thumbnails when I open a message, even if its only 1 or 2 pictures.

When I open a friend's album it shows the thumbnails and once I click on a picture it brings up a (flash looking) photo viewer window. I have a great wifi signal but when i try and go onto the Internet IE goggle etc i just get a default orange message saying it needs to go onto an orange network to access the Internet. I have heard that the newer heroes cant be unlocked because orange have made a deal with htc and changed the codes. I must have been lucky because mine unlocked no problem with the code received from the impel number. My question is if i update the Rom with the orange Rom version on the htc homepage will my phone become Sim locked again, and more worrying will i not be able to unlock it again when it has the new Rom on it?

Orange insisted i had to be a customer for 3 months before they would give me a code but still would not refund the 20 they originally took for the code. So now i am trying to spread the word that it can be done pretty quickly for less than 10. Always a good idea to have HTC Sync (you can get this on the HTC website).

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've seen a few threads from people having issues with the latest orange rom (2.73.61.66) but have yet to find anyone with the issue i'm having.
Basically, i keep getting an error message saying something like:
"this process has stopped unexpectedly"
giving the only option to force close. When it is force closed the same message pops up again. and again. and again. The only way to stop it is to either battle against the message and hope you can hit the power down button, or to pop the battery.
Sometimes it throws up other messages similar to the above one but for specific applications (ie sense, google talk..whatever..) but these never come alone, they always bring the original force close message.
Anyway, i've been onto orange and, tho i'm very pissed off, they have been good. they set me a replacement handset in less than 24 hrs (as they thought it might be a screen malfunction) which i was buzzing over until i got the same message! gutted. After talking to their tech support he suggested a hard reset followed by not adding any apps to the phone, so now i have a stock hero with stock apps and i'm waiting to see if i get a similar message...but in the mean time does anyone know of any possible conflicting applications? here is a list of the market apps i have used:

View 5 Replies View RelatedReceived a voicemail on my orange hero yesterday, so dragged the icon down from the top left of screen to activate the voicemail which it did as advertised. Once the phone connected to orange voicemail, the little green android appeared on the screen as normal due to the fact that a call was in progress. I was then given the normal options by the voicemail recorded message, PRESS 1 FOR ect. So here's my question! how the hell do you access the keypad to make the options? Iv'e tried every option I can think of! It appears that you can't do anything if the phone is in a call.
