HTC Hero :: Unable To Edit Body While Opening Blogger Via Dolphin
Dec 19, 2009If I open blogger via Dolphin, I can get to the edit page, and even edit the title, but not the body text. Am I doing something wrong?

Jun 9, 2010First of all, yes I've read everything on the other threads about cases. The only problem I've had with the Hero in six months is settling down on a case. I've done naked, eBay cheapies, Sprint silicones, Otterbox, and now the Sprint Body Glove. No Seidio though. I like the way it feels kind of like the silicones but stiff. Yes it's thicker too. I would just like some opinions from people who are using or have used this case. I don't think I'm taking up too much room here since so many have moved to the EVO forum.

Here is the post from my blog: I found a quick and dirty way to post to my Blogger account using my T-Mobile G1 phone. I wasn't able to get the default Android browser to post to my blog well, the formatting for my phone didn't show the site well and I still haven't found a Blogger app in the Android Market. I remembered that Google Gears was a part of the default browser while checking out Wordpress as a possible alternative (Wordpress has a Google Gears plug-in). I ran a search for Blogger Gears and found an example site that Google wrote when they first released Gears that works for posting to Blogger a lot better than using the direct site, except photo uploads don't seem to be supported. That is not very reliable for getting something like a list of the blogger's reading list. I have been able to get the default/blogs with my auth token and have the result returned in JSON. I then used that to get the author's blog-id .. and then .. the profile (which has the reading list). Howver, when I request it in JSON (i.e., ?v=2/alt=json) at the end of the URI, it still returns HTML. Is there a better way?

Guess I can convert them using some 3rd party tool to DV-AVI or something, but why do a second generation? Any suggestions?

Aug 5, 2010Anybody else notice that the SD cards are write protected? If I take out my card and put it in a card reader on my laptop, I can add stuff to the card, but I can't delete anything. If I put it back in the phone and mount the sd card, I can edit the card how I want. weird?

Apr 23, 2010I'm using ES File Explorer to connect to my Wi-Fi LAN, and to download images to my Hero. However, when I try to open them, i can see that the image app is starting and then suddenly stopping. I cannot open the images at all. However, if I connect my Hero to my PC and mount the SD card, I can open and view the images on both the computer and my Hero. I tried different image formats (jpg, bmp, gif)... All other file types are working fine (txt, doc, pdf...).

Also make sure you've saved the URL of your home page.I have mine backed up in Google Bookmarks so I can easily reload them into Dolphin.Version 2.5 is really nice, so far, with a simplified menu, better colors and visuals and the return of the scroll indicator.

May 27, 2010I have noticed when I visit a website on this browser it renders the page very small. I compared it side by side with the regular Dolphin browser that renders pages in normal size. HTC Hero : Stop Apps From Opening Up When Phone Boots
Dec 8, 2009The only way I know this is having installed a task manager. There would be no other way of knowing this.
I have about 14 apps downloaded form the market. Not too many, but I was susrprised to see applications like shop savvy and My Backup automatically start up when my phone boots up. Whilst in the apps themselves, there seems to be no way of stopping this behaviour. Why would they do this ? Why is there no kill switch fro these apps natively for android ? It seems there is a lot of chatter about whether or not task managers are good for the platform, or whether we should just let android do it's thing on it's own. I'm really in two minds whether to carry on using a TM or not. It's for reasons such as shop savvy opening up on it's own when I don't want it to that I'm tempted to keep in, if only for my own piece of mind, and the ability to kill apps that don't need to be on. This MUST have a direct correlation with battery usage.
Anyway, I have to say that I've had most platforms, iphone, blackberry, symbian, and Android really does seem to me to be the best one yet. I am extremely happy with my Hero.
Sprint HTC Hero :: Downloads Getting Interrupted And Not Resuming With Dolphin Browser
May 1, 2010I like to download podcasts to my hero which can take a while because they're pretty big files. If I get an email or text while downloading it pauses my download and says waiting for data connection. The same thing happens sometimes when it bounces from WiFi to Ev. The only way I can get it to start downloading again is to start another download. This is annoying so does anyone know a better way to resume a download or is there some setting I can change?
