Got Froyo installed on my Incredible. Can play the .3gp files on my computer, but can't find a program that will edit them natively. Have tried Windows Live Movie Editor (beta), Elements 8, Coral X3, etc.
Guess I can convert them using some 3rd party tool to DV-AVI or something, but why do a second generation? Any suggestions?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy I7500 using android 1.5. I extended my phone with a 16GB microSD. I copied a big music collection (around 800 files) into a folder on this SD. Now the problem is that the music player can't find all the files.
I know that there are several threads about android not finding music. The answers are usually that the library hasn't yet been updated or that the ID3 tags are not correct.
I have checked both.
Btw. I can play the files using ASTRO.
In my opinion it seems as if android can't build up a library with too many entries. If I rename the files or put them into different folders, songs disappear and reappear quite randomly.
Do you have any solutions? Is there a music player which doesn't use the native music players index of files?

I`m hoping this in the right place, I have looked all over for some kind of answer to my problem. I can switch B/T on & pair up etc for the 1st time after scanning for new devices, but try & connect again later & it doesn`t want to know ! Also, I can't send or receive files ie pictures, music etc.

But apps like Yelp can find the GPS location on droid. Is there a workaround to find the user location on a device? Here's the code I am using code....

I've just come across an issue I can't for the life of me find the answer to though... Say if I've captured 20seconds of video and I wanted to MMS it, it says the file is too large (it's on the highest camcorder settings atm, think it's set to record Mpeg). Is there any way I can edit the file to chop off some seconds at the front and/or end to make it a smaller file?

Not looking to do anything vastly interesting, my old phone did have a video editing function and you could merge clips with some basic fade scene to scene edits, or add text... if ever I though there'd be something on the market it'd be this type.

I have a problem with a USB hosting program I have written for the Galaxy Tab 10.1. I am trying to communicate with a PIC microcontroller via USB and had the program working a month or so back. Attachment to the PIC was by using an intent in the manifest, as per the standard method. However, I then upgraded via Kies to Android 4.0.4 and since then have not been able to use the program.
at first I had no luck in even seeing the PIC but once I told the PIC to pretend it was a mass storage device that problem cleared up (the original version was configured as an HID). It seems that in 4.0.4 Samsung have reintroduced the "whitelist"
Now I have the issue that I can trigger my program on plugging in the PIC (which proves that the permission is working on attaching) but within the program the only intent that is seen is the MAIN one.I don't want to go away from a stock device, and I don't want to have to downgrade back to 4.0.3 which I had when the system was working.
Morning all, had my Desire for almost 2 weeks now I think and its great but the following things I've noticed and would like help with please.
1) Where can you edit the Bookmarks? I cant seem to find any setting, just want to delete some thats all!
2) I use Handcent, trouble is when I recieve a text I get 2 notifications from the stock program and Handcent, how do I "turn off" the stock program anyone know? this is actually quite annoying!
On Windows Mobile I used TCPMP and it could play any format; FLV, MP4, AVI (Could play DivX in theory, but the phone lacked physical resources I guess). Is there a program for Android that let's me play most formats?
