View 1 RepliesI have a Droid X and when I take a photo in portrait mode, it looks nice and sharp on my screen...I can see the entire photo and it is perfect. Then when I try to set it as my wallpaper, it forces me to crop in on the photo which kills the quality. I just want to use the whole photo so it looks JUST like the screen right after I snap the photo. Are there any apps out there that will let me do that? Seems stupid to have to offload the photo onto a PC, resize it to 960x854, and then upload it back to the phone to that it will fit perfectly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI like the Incredible's 8MP camera, but hate the huge resulting filesize that makes it inconvenient if not impossible to upload the photos anywhere. Is there a free app that allows me to resize photos to resolutions I want? I tried Picsay, but the free version only allows it to be resized to a a tiny resolution, making it useless. I know Photoshop.com, but I've heard that it runs constantly in the background no matter what. I just want a simple app where I can punch in the x and y dimensions (and maybe a checkbox to choose to keep the ratio) and have the image resized.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst time trying to send a photo via text message (MMS). On any number of my previous phones, the phone would automatically resize the image so that it wasnt too large to send. That does not appear to be happening on the Eris. I sent one photo, and it was nearly 1100kb. Then another photo I attempted to send would not attach, because it said it was too large (it was like 1250kb in size). So, is there a way to have it automatically resize a photo that is being sent via MMS? Or will I need to do that manually beforehand with an app from the Market, like Picasa or something of the sort?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using my SGS to take photos at max resolution (5MB), the average file size is 1.5MB. I want an app that will resize the photo to a lower resolution (640 X 480) so that the file size is small enough to send it easily through email (over GPRS conn). Can someone recommend a app that can do this, preferably free? Right now, I transfer the pics to my PC & use Picasa to export the photos with a lower resolution.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a samsung galaxy note 3 and im having a slight problem. I went to send some pictures, I chose to resize them to small before sending and I accidentally clicked on "always" complete this action, was curious on how I change it so it asks me every time what size I want to send my pictures,
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been using Handcent sms for my messaging, but when I do a MMS by adding a picture, it will resize the photo (often with a double pop up asking if I want to) to a "small" size. The limit of my mms is set as 300kb, but often the pic resize will make it 6kb, which isn't as bit on the Hero screen as some incoming images. Is there something I can do to change this? I've tried sending myself MMS messages both from the Hero Messaging bit and from the Handcent SMS app, but both seem to come across as smaller than pics sent by others. Is this a Hero issue, a Handcent issue (even though it happens via the Hero messaging software), or my own network issue?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone been having this trouble lately? I've tried clearing out old messages and clearing the cache but yet it still force closes on almost every picture while resizing it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried setting photos for my contacts today, but it seems I can only add photos for my email contacts and not my sim card ones? It's only my contacts on my sim that I want to add photos to! Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a way I can do what I want to without adding everyone's email address?
View 10 Replies View RelatedWith the Desire, is it possible to send photos by SMS?
In the operators manual it tells me how to send by email, talks about flickr and twitter and Facebook but no mention of sending via messages. I have tried without success, a message bounces back telling me that there is a 'generic network failure', but I use my Nokia with the same network and that works.
Its no big deal I suppose, more of an irritation really Gents?
Alright, I recently upgraded to a Samsung Moment. I used to have a Palm Centro and loved it. I do love my Samsung Moment but it's so hard to find correct answers to my questions...
Calendar: When you add an event into the calender on the Month view there is a notification on there (in green) that there's an event on the a specific day. Questions: is there a way to change that color for different events?
Photos: In my gallery, I want to make separate folders for specific pictures. Is there a way to make specific folders?
Email: Is there a way to delete multiple emails at one time?
Wallpaper: There are 3 screens on the Samsung Moment. Is there a way to make the 3 individual screens different backgrounds? I would like different backgrounds for the different screens....
How can I send the photos I take with Shootme to my email, like I can with the ones from CameraRoll?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI thought that if we sync'd facebook to the Hero that people's display pictures would automatically become their contact photo on the hero.can someone tell me if this is possible and how they've done it?
View 16 Replies View RelatedDo you think it will come a time when we can view e-mail pictures that are embedded in the e-mail? Hate when I get a forward and can't view the pictures. Am I missing something? It seems only when people officially attach the file is when I can see it. Other than that..I get the blue box with a "?" in the middle.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have two gmail accounts. How do I choose which account I want to use when I am sharing a photo/video. It defaults to the 2nd account I added but would prefer to choose which gmail account sends the pic or at least be able to change it.
View 3 Replies View Relatedany chance or way setting up sound alert for new email received and new email sent. ie when new sms sent can we setup sound too for that?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI did a search and found one person that had a similar problem but there was no suggestions that solved it. So I am starting a new thread.
I have been a long time Blackberry user and made the switch to Android just yesterday morning and really love it. I hope someone can help me with this issue.
I have noticed that a couple of times I get the email notification sound but there is no email. A couple of minutes later I receive an email with its own notification sound. Another time, I heard the notification sound AND the new email icon on the top left of the screen but there was no email. Several minutes later, the email was delivered to the handset.
The email accounts that I have set up on the handset are one yahoo with mail plus, and one gmail account. I believe the issues happened with the gmail account.
Is there a way to save the photos from Facebook albums when you are browsing through your contacts that are linked to it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI put in a 8GB class 6 card, copying all files over manually. Works fine except for the album application which shows the count (79) but not the images. Rebooted etc and still same.
View 6 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I had to perform a hard reset due to my phone not sending pic mails anymore. Since that hard reset, my camera has decided when it wants to save photos and when it doesn't want to save them. Has anyone had this issue happen to them? Do i need to perform another hard reset? Could it be a SD Card issue?
View 3 Replies View RelatedCan I just ask how I can transfer my photos that are on my Sim Card somewhere and have them transferred onto my Hero?
View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anayone have a good photo viewer other than Photo Viewer and Photo Gallery? I would like to have my photos listed in their prospective folders but the 2 I have don't do that. I switched from the Samsung Moment to the Hero and I know I had a program on the moment that did that but I evidently forgot to backup that program so now I can't remember the name and haven't found anything in the Market that does that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't access my Facebook photos using the HTC Album app or any other HTC app like contacts, but I can access all photos of my friends (except for one friend). I've played around with the settings on Facebook, but I don't know if I'm missing anything. I've also been able to access all of my photos and all of photos of my friends (including the one mentioned above) using the BFF Photo app for Android.I can access all my photos from Flickr just fine, and I can upload pictures to Facebook just fine using Facebook for Android, but I just can't view MY photos using any HTC app. I can also update my status just fine using the HTC Facebook app. Any ideas on things I should check?
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor most Google Contacts, once linked to a facebook account, properly display the photo as the contact photo. There are a few though that oddly don't. I can see their picture on facebook itself, it just doesn't get pulled into the Contact. I've inquired to these individuals and they don't seem to be using any particular privacy setting that would affect this.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to do this via the "full site" but since the 2.1 update, I haven't been able to do so. Please help, because I really liked that I was able to do that from my Hero.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post on here - I tried looking for an existing thread that might answer my question, but couldn't find one.Although generally happy with my HTC Hero, one problem I'm having is that I can't seem to email photos.Say I'm looking through my photos and want to email one, I press 'Menu', then 'Share', then 'Google Mail' then enter the email address and then press 'send'. It then says 'Sending message', albeit only briefly. (I would've thought it would take longer to email a 5MB photo and that the 'Sending message' notification would stay up for as long as the email was in the process of being sent.) But there's no indication of whether the email has arrived or not. Well, it hasn't. I've tried different photos, different email addresses. but none of the photos emailed using the 'share' funtion have arrived with the intended recipient.Same with the Sticky Note app. There's an option to email the sticky note, but despite numerous attempts, none of them have arrived at the recipient's email address.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI noticed that once I use my sd card (with pics and videos already on there) on my hero, it adds more folder areas. For example, I now have a folder called All pictures and My pictures with the same pictures. Is there a way I can just have all my pictures in 1 folder? And also have my camera shots in the same folder if I want to?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHas anyone been able to tag people in photos for facebook upload. Had a funny picture of a friend throwing up after a long night of drinking and wanted to tag him in it for a good laugh but had to log on to my PC to do so!
View 2 Replies View RelatedDo you think/know when we finally get the upgrade will I then be able to
bluetooth some of my photos from my old phones onto the Hero please?
New to HTC Hero and Android and i've had a little problem present itself this morning with my Facebook contacts and Phonebook. Basically, when i set the phone up, i linked everyone that i had On facebook with thier contact info on my phone. All the photo's linked over and i've been receiving updates etc as your supposed to. However this morning i looked trhough my phone and on the widget where you show your favourites, as well as the whole phone book, the profile pictures have disappeared!
Has this happened to anyone before, is it a common problem (i couldnt find any previous threads etc), and can someone assist in fixing it again?
