I have a HTC Hero and want to be able to play music though my car stereo system, however I want to do this with no trailing cables, good audio quality, the ability to use the phone for it's sat nav software and to take calls.
Ive been looking at the Parrot MKi9200 kit, anyone use this with their hero?

View 49 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Back Beat stereo bluetooth headset for my HERO. After listening for a few days I got a warning stating that my internal memory was getting low. Soon after that, I could not receive text anymore. I did a hard reset on the phone and the memory was restored, but this is the only way I could get the memory to come back. Is there any way to restore the internal memory without doing a hard reset and loosing everything?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI went to sleep listening to a 6 hour playlist of thunderstorm sounds in spotify through stereo speakers. My alarm was set to go off 2 hours after the playlist ended. My alarm vibrated, and luckily woke me up, but it played no sound through my stereo speakers or through the phone's built in speaker. Is there any solution to this issue? Ideally, I'd like to listen to the sound of thunderstorms for 6 hours, and then have my alarm play the song that normally wakes me up through my stereo speakers.
I have a Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX although I doubt that's relevant. I'm sure its something to do with the software.
Earlier I formatted my memory card, probably shouldn't but I thought that as I hadn't put anything on this should be fine. Is this where the sync programme lives, I'm guessing if it is I can download it from somewhere no bother. So, I downloaded a couple of songs off T-mobile, but since formatting my music player does nothing, just says that there are no songs. Doesn't let you search or anything.

Sometimes it did play music from my phone and most other times it said 'Error'. Is there a way to so it play's all the time when connecting? I Don't want to play through a 3.5 jack as USB also charges your phone while playing your music.

I currently have the prior generation of this stereo in my car (don't know my exact model number, but it's basically the same as this deck: Sony stereo.
I connect my iPhone 3G through the usb port and it charges my phone while allowing me to access my library and scroll through artists, playlists, etc through the deck.
I am curious if the Droid Incredible can also do this.
I went into the Verizon store today to try and see if it can work and we had some issues. My deck can access the phone's contents if, when connecting via USB, I have the phone behave as mass storage (the rep was doing it, but said when you connect the phone you have the option to treat the connection as mass storage). So, I could flip through what seemed to be directory folders through the stereo, but I believe I could only access the phone's internal memory. I haven't had an android phone, but I assume mp3's are stored on the microSD. Am I correct in this?
So, is there any way to make the SD accessible through the car stereo so I can play my mp3s while charging my phone through the USB? This is actually a fairly big deal to me as I am in my car a lot and using the phone in this way with my stereo keeps me from having to have 3 different chargers (1 for home, 1 for messenger bag, 1 for car). But, if there's a way to do it, I can get away from the iPhone, and more importantly, ATT.
I know I have the aux input, but I'm only concerned with the USB for its charging properties.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a droid razr maxx and have been trying to play musin on my car stereo pioneer deh-p4200ub using a data cable due to the fact that i don't have the bluetooth adapter for my head unit yet. everytime i connect to stereo i get "error 19" displayed on head unit. I've tried using mass storage and mtp to reconize sd card in phone. i found that if ihave the music stored on internal memory of phone it will work but i have 14gb of music on sd card that wont fit on internal storage. is there any setting i can change for this to be compatable?

I have an HTC Evo, recently switched from an iphone. Loaded just a few songs on my Evo to test out the USB to car stereo connection and it works. But I liked the way iphone worked with the stereo better because all the Evo does is show is let me browse through folders like an mp3 CD would. The iphone would let me browse through artists, albums, playlists, genre, etc, etc all from using the controls on my steering wheel. Sooooo, does anybody know of an android app that will make my car stereo browse artists, albums and playlists like it could with iphone. I know its not a big deal but it would be more convenient, probably only advantage my iphone had over Evo.

Galaxy Note 2. Both phone and stereo show that bluetooth is connected. Calls will still go through the stereo, but music won't. The music will play through the phone's speakers, but at a very low volume - lower than what my phone shows. I do not have a volume control app or manager installed. I have a eciplse 2 an440 something like that. When I do a bluetooth scan it finds my phone and sets up profiles for car calls but that's it. It does not find bluetooth stereo. Do I need to download a bluetooth audio player or should I check to make sure my stereo supports it.

I slowly getting more disappointed with this phone. When you plug in standard headphones without a mic, you get mono output and not stereo.The Hero's 3.5mm plug is Mono not Stereo
View 7 Replies View RelatedRecently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
