Apr 8, 2010Yes for those who are running CyanogenMOD 5.0.5.7 ONLY right now. Just type JIT in the market and it'll pop up. I've been running it with the heat turned down and so far it's behaving. I'm sure it'll explode tomorrow. All these apps have made my adb skills waste away. The best thing about it is you can turn it off without having to pull and editing the build file yourself which is sort of a pita Jit App In Market - CyanogenMod Forum Not supporting Jit by any means just forwarding the news.

Nov 8, 2009I've been reading how to get more memory thread where is suggested to run clearapps.sh script in order to remove unnecesarry applications on a great Galaxo ROM. I was wondering, is it possible that MarketEnabler depends on some of those apps, because after running the script, it fails to either restore settings from backup or set different provider. There is no force-close or freeze. It just pops up "working" box for indefinite time period without progres bar filling (I waited several minutes). The infobox can be easily discarded with the back button.

I'm currently modifying a system apk (specifically LockClock.apk), which comes with CM10.1. From time to time, I "adb push" a modified version of the apk to my /system/app. (When the app works), it works without problems until the phone is restartet. After the reboot, the application does no longer appear to be installed (though the modified apk is still present in /system/app). I have to "adb push" the apk again, to make it work again. Is there a way to make the app permanently installed after an "adb push"?

Nov 11, 2009I just rebooted my phone and now the market app won't start. All the other apps I've tried start, but market just does nothing- click and nothing happens. Any ideas?

Found another that won't start... "Profiles (cupcake)". I'm wondering if this app is somehow causing issues now after rebooting the phone. It didn't have these issues before the reboot. But, now market and profiles aren't working. Could be related...

Is there any way to force device reboot after the update? I'm asking this because my application registers some behavior on boot.

My app will be preinstalled on a set of ~100 handsets. Should I periodically call a webservice that will inform the device about upgrade available, and then, redirect to an .apk file within a webkit view?
General :: Device Got Reset After Every Reboot Or Shutdown
Dec 24, 2013I have problem with my funbook infinity. After I uninstalled busybox X from my device it gone crazy. When I try to shutdown and turn it on then it shows the reset page, even I complete the reset process (e.g fill up my name, date-time, google account) then I goto Settings-->Storage there I saw that my zero size internal storage. I think this is because of busybox am I right ?? By the way my funbook is running ICS 4.0.4 . I can't do any root work because i unrooted my device after i uninstalled busybox. I also cant re-root my device because after the reboot by root process the device shows the reset page.

Aug 10, 2012I have to use adb over ssh. now, everything works fine but after a reboot i have to connect my device again over usb and set adb to listen to tcpip instead of usb.
Is there a way to save those settings? This is how it works for now. After a reboot i have to use these commands again (over usb) in order to establish an adb connection over ssh.

Nov 1, 2010this isnt the same as all the others, i rooted my phone and was able to download apps for a few minutes, after that all my apps would sit at "starting Download" i would wait hours for it to work but nothing ever changed. i paniked and reset factory settings on my phone so i only have stock apps and SU, the catch is it wont let me delete SU so my warrantee is void. also when i try to reboot recovery it looks like it will then goes black and starts normally. is there a way to remove SU or reboot recovery another way? i would be fine if the market started working again please help.

HTC EVO 4G :: Upgrading SD Card On Rooted - Move2sc Enabler
Nov 26, 2010This issue has been sorta "asked and answered" but the information I have found information has been on phones OTHER than the EVO. I just wanted to CONFIRM everything for the EVO (which I just rooted last night and NEW to the root modifications and options) before I got into any trouble! I have the stock 8GB card and want to update to a larger card. I rooted my phone last night and the only "rooty" things I have done has been: (1) full clockworkmod backup to the SD card; (2) Titanium backup; and (3) moving some apps to the SD via Move2SD Enabler.
From what I've read I can just copy the contents of my original card to the new card and put the card in the phone. I was wondering if this IS the case with the EVO? Since I am rooted with various backups saved to the SD card, are their any concerns with those files going forward? And do I have any concerns with the apps that I have moved to the SD card...will they continue to function with copy-paste to the new card inserted into teh phone?? And lastly...also probably asked and answered a thousand times but I didn't check ...can anyone recommend a class/speed/brand of SD card, most likely a 16GB card but perhaps a 32GB?? Dec 5, 2009Does anyone else run into the same problem as I do? If my phone dies or I do a reboot I get to the lock screen and it says no signal and does not pick up a cell signal at all. During normal use it said no signal before, but a few seconds later it got a signal. Now it will not get a signal at all and the only way to get a signal again is to do a factory reset. Is the jump to 2.1 supposed to fix all this too?

Jul 4, 2010I've notice recently my Hero has been acting up, almost as if it is rebooting. However, I don't believe it is a full reboo, i.e. no sprint logo during boot. Only occurs when exiting out from the internet browser. As soon as you hit the home screen to exit, the phone returns to the white htc load page. It appears like it is the full reboot but it does not move next to the Sprint/Now pages. Next the desktop appears but it is grayed out (i.e. my desktop still shows but grayed out, no icons or widgets showen) and the spinning loading icon shows up. Once it finishes loading things appear back to normal. Almost makes me wonder if this reboot is more like sense rebooting and not the entire phone/system. Not sure if this is possible but I want to get anyone's thoughts and if anyone else had expirenced this.

Nov 12, 2009I was just curious how often you reboot your phones? Since I've stopped using a task killer and letting android manage things, I've been having to do it twice a day to keep it speedy and usable. Usually in the morning I reboot, read my rss feeds, check this forum & facebook (browser), some emails and some light texting. Once I get to working around 7:30am (I work landscaping) I pop in the earbuds and listen to soma fm with droid live lite till lunch at 11:15. Lunch time I plug in the phone for about 40 minutes to boost up the battery to get me through my music habit for the rest of the workday which ends at 3pm.
I've noticed that if I don't reboot after lunch, my phone is just sluggish and slow as can be. Especially if I've got droid live running and I get a text or an email. I only run two widgets, the "flip clock" and the small style calendar underneath it on my home screen. So I don't think that has much of an effect on my phones performance in the long run. When I was using a task killer, the only time I would reboot was when I woke up in the morning and I was good for the rest of the day. I've been considering running a task killer again, as android doesn't seem to be doing as great of a job managing things as I'd like, but I wanna hear some of your input and experiences first.
Sprint HTC Hero :: Unable To Reboot To Recovery
Nov 10, 2010I am using a CDMA HTC Hero (sprint). I have rooted the device via Universal Androot which worked flawlessly. I am now trying to flash a custom rom, which is already loaded onto my SD Card (Red Dawn). Here in lies my problem:
Using Rom Manager, I flashed the ClockworkMod Recovery successfully but when i chose to ""Reboot from Recovery" the phone gets hung up at the white HTC boot screen indefinitely until I battery pull.
I have tried many, many different approaches and am now seeking some desperate advise as to how to get into recovery mode so i may flash the new rom. I have tried to enter recovery manually (vol down/pwr on) only for it to get hung on the HTC screen as soon as I chose recovery. I have tried to "Flash Alternative Rom" and the re-flashing the ClockworkMod Recovery all to no avail.

Nov 8, 2010I originally posted this in the CM 6 thread, but after doing a nandroid restore and also flashing to Fresh 2.4 I'm still having this issue. I rebooted my phone this morning (was running CM6 6.1.0 RC1) and ever since the reboot I cannot connect to any google services and the data connection when connecting to webpages is hit or miss. When I try to connect to my google account on the initial setup for CM6 and for Fresh 2.4 I get the error: 'cant establish a reliable data connection to the server'. I have good to great signal strength yet terrible connection. Would updating my radio help? After doing some googling someone suggested updating my profile through the system settings. Can I do that with a rooted phone or do I have to flash back to an official update?
