HTC Hero : Echo While Calling / Way To Fix
Jul 7, 2010Since i updated to 2.1 (ive tried villain 10.3, 11.9, 12) i get a echo while calling people which is very annoying but i think its to do with my wifi.

Nov 18, 2009I've now heard this from a few different callers (2 in the last day).They are hearing an echo of their voice. They are calling me and it's happened when I have called them.I'm calling from my phone (no bluetooth or speaker).When it's happened I've called back and it's cleared the issue, a couple of times it hasn't. Do you think it's a hardware or network issue?

Oct 25, 2010In the last couple weeks I have started experiencing echo on my phone. Everything I say comes back to me and the other end can't hear anything. Sometimes it will take 3 or 4 calls before it starts working again. Tried figuring out if it's a specific area (which it appeared to be) but now it's worse and happening all over the place. Haven't seen/installed any updates lately, anyone else experiencing this? Next step is to stop by or call Sprint this week. Phone I believe is a version 1 f(got it on launch day).

Apr 14, 2012I have a Kyocera Echo which has decided to forever loop in the start up instead of doing anything and since I can't hold power and volume down to factory restart I thought it was dusted

I might be able to do a hard rest through fastboot.
I have installed, all the drivers from the Kyocera website, I have the sdk, I know where to go into command prompt, etc. But my phone is not being detected by the fastboot tool. when I type Fastboot devices, I get nothing, not even the ? mark they mentioned and it just hangs on when I do fastboot -w saying it's waiting for the the device.
Even though its looping my computer will detect the phone and when I have placed it in what i think is download mood (power + plus both volume buttons) it has detected the right drivers to install and though it loops will kind of pop up the phone on my computer.
But when I put it it in what I guess is fastboot mode (power + volume up) Window's says it found new hardware, "Android," just plain android. I tried to direct to install the usb drivers from the Android-sdk/extras/ folder, but that doesn't work and Window is not finding anything automatically.
I assume the problem is that I need to find the right driver for the "Android," but I can't seem to figure what driver that is.

Sep 7, 2013I have a problem with my Atrix HD running ProBam 4.3 rom. My phone is ok but everyone I call or call me will hear an echo of his own voice making it extremely hard to understand the conversation. I didn't had this problem before on my first flashed.

General :: Desire Z (Vision / G2) Echo During Calls And Updating Radio
Apr 2, 2013After updating from stock 2.3.3 To Gen.Y Vision X ROM, callers faced some terrible echo when speaking with me. I updated Radio to one suggested and it was fixed. Soon after this update speaker in my phone failed. So I have 2 questions. Could that failure be caused by radio firmware? How should I choose radio software to flash?
After getting my phone fixed (not without troubles, because device is rooted, and I didn't clean it up properly) I didn't flashed new radio yet. I did flashed latest Gen'Y Vision X ROM. May I flash radio after ROM without any problems, or should I flash Radio and than ROM?

Dec 10, 2009I can't seem to figure out how, but I recently met this girl, and we've been talking on the phone in the evening, and sometimes, I'll hear her voice coming from my pocket, and I'll dig my phone out and she'd be (at 2 am mind you) on the other end laughing at my horrible singing or whatever I was doing in the car. I called her 6 times yesterday from my pocket! Phone is locled and everything, 3 days ago, it was my mother. It's always the last person that called.so I can't understand how a locked phone is calling people like this!

Mar 3, 2010Wanna just ask is it normal to hear whisper sound or rustle when calling. If no, how to shut it off... Tried sip call when dialing no such sound, skype also. But when cellular the sound is there already on ringing and doesn't go away when picked up. OR is this the carriers fault? Thanks for any answer (sorry if its already somewhere here) (The volume is on the lowest setting)

Jun 13, 2010Is there a way to hang up on one call during call waiting or conference calling? Seems that whenever I have two calls going on, I can't hang up on one caller unless they hang up. If I try pressing the end button then I hang up on both callers. I know this was a issue with 1.5 but has it been fixed with 2.1? And if so, how do you go about doiong it?

Feb 6, 20101st time poster long time lurker. I have done a search on Google trying to find a solution or at least a reason as to why my phone is behaving this way. Search produces nothing. This week my phone started behaving strange. I will get a call, but the caller ID no longer displays. Suddenly the screen starts to flash and I have to unlock the screen in order to see who is calling. By the time the screen is unlocked the person has already hung up. I have not done anything (add new programs) in the last 2 weeks and I am not sure why this is happening.

If you currently have your GV number set to call your Sprint cell and your incoming call is from another cell phone will you be charged for the minutes? If you setup your phone so GV is used to call all numbers that you dial will you be charged for calling other cellular number because GV masks the number? I have been through every level of support that Sprint offers and no one can answer me. Sadly tier 3 technical support told me "Google Voice is useless on a cell phone and you would not want to use this anyway". I had nothing more to say after that!

Nov 12, 2009I just got my Sprint Hero on Saturday, but am not able to make 3 way calls with it. It puts the first call on hold, and appears like it is trying to call the 2nd number, but it never rings or connects. I stopped in my Sprint store to have them help me with it. Clerk working there tried it with his Hero and had the same problem.

Jun 4, 2010I have tried out the Fring Video calling and it works pretty well, I wanted to try the Qik solution as well, but I cannot seem to. I tried downloading the Qik app on appbrain but the Android Market cannot find it, I have messed around with the Qik app already on the phone and see nothing about video chat. the Market is not working correctly, apps such as Qik and Handcent are not accessible, hopefully they will be soon. Waiting patiently.

I have read about the Swype issue and Fring but I thought I read you could do an EVO to EVO Fring video call using just Fring. However, on the test call I have a choice of the video button, but when I try and call my daughter who is set up, I don't get a video button to hit like on the test call, just the phone call button?
