View 2 RepliesI was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?
Setting: It's 2006, I'm in my car. Me (into Bluetooth headset): "Call Mom..." Motorola RAZR (through headset): "Did you say 'Call Mom?" Me: "Yes..." Motorola RAZR: "Which number?" Me: "Mobile..." Motorola RAZR: "Calling Mom on Mobile...." My Mom: "Hello?" Setting: It's 2010, I'm in my car... Me (Car Bluetooth to HTC Hero or to Hero direct): "Call Mom..." HTC Hero: ..... Me: (Sighs loudly)

View 3 Replies View RelatedHad my Hero for a few days now and just got round to trying Bluetooth with my Nokia headset that I used with my Nokia 5800.
If I turn on Bluetooth on my Hero, it never seems to find any other devices nearby, even though my PC can see my Hero ok.
I cant bind my headset with my Hero, as it just doesn't seem to notice my headset is turned on.
So yes with the iPhone you can have lots and lots of apps because it is internal memory but im wondering how many apps you will be able to install onto the hero? Some games take up a lot of space, no?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using Evo as my primary phone for 2 weeks and I do not see any battery problems. Am I the exception?
I am a heavy user with about 70 texts, 20-30 emails per day, 1-1.5hour phone usage, occasional web surfing (1-1.5hour), listening to music (30min morning + 30min evening), GPS on all the time (but no GPS using apps running), Facebook and Sense. I didn't turn on Bluetooth or Wifi or 4G. This is a typical day for me. With this kind of usage my battery easily lasts the whole day and well into the night.
Is there one click apps to enable/disable wifi, and bluetooth?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs anyone aware of a listing of apps that require Android 2.1 to run (e.g. apps like Google Goggles, etc.)? I've searched the threads here at Android Forums and elsewhere and haven't been able to find such a list or site.
Now that I upgraded to 2.1, I'd like to "see what I've been missing" and take advantage of the new OS.
I am trying to save battery and speed up my phone. I know that I can in to setting to disable all these extra features, but I heard from someone that, "even though you disabled it, the phone will still continue to try to pick up these services, like 3G). Is there a app that will fully disable these features?
Also is there anyway up speeding up my phone. I have a Rooted T-Mobile MyTouch 3G w/ the CyanogenMod 4.2.13. I heard that there is a "10MB Hack", but I also heard that it will slow down your games.
I've just realized that such feature is only Froyo supported, I really need that while driving, do you know about apps to get such feature working?

I'm new to this forum and have just purchased a BNIB Hero locked to Orange,Rom Ver: 2.73.61.66.I am not much phone or PC savy but am learning. This is my first Android Phone.I discovered this site last night and spent a few hours reading, what a great site.Managed to set up a Google link, up loaded a bar scanner and scanned a couple of apps off this site, excellent.Unfortunately also spent a few hours trying to transfer a blue-tooth file from my existing phone to the Hero, to eventually find out the Orange Hero is not set up for this, I was truly amazed at this news.I am able to pair both devises, just the transfer won't take place.I searched this site and the web for an application that will allow me to do this, can anyone suggest one.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if the Hero supports Bluetooth GPS? I've read where this is only supported in 2.0+ devices. If you're running a 2.0+ ROM, would this mean you can run a Bluetooth GPS or does it also need to be supported by the Bluetooth hardware in your phone?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm pretty set on the htc hero as my next phone and obviously would like to use my existing bluetooth handsfree unit (Plantronics Discovery 925).
However when I tried to pair this with someone else's new htc hero at work, the phone did not detect the handfree unit despite several tries and with the devices only a couple of feet apart.
Has anyone else on here tried this pairing. Grateful for any advice on a way to get round this, I don't really want to have to buy a new handsfree set if I can avoid it. In fact I can't really understand why there should be a problem - surely any 2 bluetooth enabled devices ought to be able to find and talk to each other.
Just a quick question really, what can you do with bluetooth after rooting and upgrading to 2.0/2.1 ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedBought a HTC Hero and a DEH-Pioneer 7100BT bluetooth car radio. Once radio was installed my phone was detected and I have done all what was necessary to get the phone paired with the radio.
The phone is now paired with the radio and can stream music and adjusting the phonevolume also gets played through the car speakers wich all work perfectly.
The problem starts when there is an incoming or outgoing call and when I answer the call through the radio, the sounds dont go through the car speakers anymore. The opposing person can hear me but I cannot hear them because the carspeakers are silent. The only way to hear them was by attaching a headset to my phone only then could I hear them.
The main reason for buying this radio was that I would not need a headset at all. Is there a way to route sounds from incoming and outgoing calls also to the car's speakers?
Does anyone find it odd that they cannot listen to voicemails in their paired, attached BT headset or did I miss a memo on how to do this? Also, is anyone having problems with random BT headset disconnects? I have a Plantronics Voyager Pro, which I know works with this handset... randomly it disconnects. No other device disconnects, so I'm thinking the headset is bad... thoughts?
