Jul 25, 2010I'm back to using LauncherPro, but again I have the problem where the stock widgets aren't compatible, ot HTC doesnt want you to use them with anything other than Sense.
I ADORE the stock full screen Photo Widget. Where the photos look like they're overlapping, and you can swipe through them to view the images.
Does anyone know if someone has recreated this style of Gallery Widget for none sense UI?

May 10, 2010Is there any way to select which picture will show as the photo album thumbnail? When I open the photo album the picture that shows as the thumbnail is hard to see and I would like to have another pic as the album thumbnail/icon.I have tried erasing all of the photos, clearing the cache and reloading the photos in various orders but no matter what I try the same photo shows as the thumbnail. Is there any way to change it?

Nov 11, 2010Today I finally upgraded to 2.2 and installed kaosfroyo. As with many other eris owners the camera app shuts out on me so I installed camera360 and I'm pretty happy with it. The only problem I have is the photo gallery and how stupid slow it is. It takes so long to load my pictures (which is pretty few) that my screen turns off after waiting. And when I go back into it, it attempts to reloads all the pictures again, just to have the screen turn off(again)! I never had this problem with 2.1 (xtrROM).

May 19, 2010I searched and searched and can't find a gallery replacement. I am using Aloysius 2.0.8 and the gallery isn't working due to the opengl fix that is included in the ROM. I need a gallery that will work!
I can't find anything in the market, and all the 'photo gallery' threads here are either one post wonders, or not related to what I am looking for. Does anyone use a non-stock gallery? Or does anyone know if there is a fix for the nexus gallery open gl issue?
HTC Droid Eris :: Launcher Pro Photo Album Widget
Aug 23, 2010I just purchased the Launcher Pro as this blows the old HTC Sense out of the water.However, I used to have a Photo Album widget when using the original HTC Sense UI.In this widget you could simply swipe your finger up or down on the widget and it would scroll to the next photo.Now that I'm running Launcher Pro I cannot find the Photo Album widget anywhere. I tried out the Photo Gallery widget but it doesn't have the swipe feature.
Anybody know if there is a way that I can get the old Photo Album widget to work on this or a possible alternative?

Found this topic on the Droid forum. I find it pretty interesting and pretty interesting that the Eris can keep up with the Droid and that no flash isn't as big of an issue as you would think.
Might change some minds if the flash feature is something you thing is big when deciding between Eris and Droid.

Mar 7, 2010Does anyone know how to update your photo for your contact when its placed on the home screen? Like I have peoples photos synced from facebook and it updates when I call the user but the photo on the home screen doesn't update. Am I missing something?

Apr 12, 2010I saw a previous thread (Changing my contact card picture) where a similar question was never quite resolved. I have the same issue except that my contact card has automatically synced to my facebook and I would prefer to change to a different picture that is not my facebook profile picture. There's no option to do so under people->my contact card and if I go to a picture in my albums it only lets me set the photo for a contact that is not me.

May 19, 2010After the 2.1 OTA a lot of random photos were thrown in my photo album under separate files, I think one is named something like keyboard...and another one called icons maybe. They are just screen shots of the swype keyboard. I tried to delete them after I dl'd the Nexus Gallery (which is awesome btw thank you Androzoid) but they just came back. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't tried to delete them yet straight from the SD card to see if that works. Is it okay to delete these or do they serve some purpose?

May 5, 2010When I try to use Sense to view photo albums for one friend, it shows that they have zero photo albums. The official facebook app does the same. If I use the browser to visit her profile, I can see her numerous photo albums easily, but damnit! I want the software to work like it's designed and this little bug seems so bizarre. As far as I can tell, the missing albums bug only applies to this one friend. I would be able to easily overlook the bug except that one friend is my fiancee.

Apr 7, 2010I'd like to snap a photo on the Eris and upload to Facebook with a comment. It seems the built-in app that came with the Eris doesn't allow comments to be posted. I tried Bloo, which does allow comments, but the photos don't appear in Facebook until I go to my page and approve the photos. Am I missing a way to comment with the built-in app, or a way to have the photos appear without special approval with Bloo? Or is there a better app for this.

-Nexus launcher
-a better looking photo gallery viewer, im stuck at the stock crap one
-a better music player same reason as above
-and last is a better lock screen, i really liked the one that had the slient button and the lock on the same dial and it was just which way you spun it

If I pull up a photo I just took, I have the option of sending it to Facebook, as well as tagging it. I can't figure out how to do this on my Moment.

Sorry, but I didn't have time to do some other examples, Canon T1I, 18-55mm lens, set to 8MP, full auto On the left HTC Evo 4g, 8MP, full auto On the right.

Aug 18, 2010I'm still running stock 2.1 and am pretty happy with it. I've heard so much praise of rooting and it's very tempting. After looking at all the ROMs, xtrSense 4 seems like it would be my top pick because it has SenseUI, it's new and very up-to-date, and it is known to run so well with so few issues.
But I was thinking, what's the point of rooting and going through the process to put on that ROM, when it will be almost the same as stock 2.1?
Are the benefits really worth it? How much more speed, enhancements over stock is it?

Oct 28, 2010Since yesterday my stock weather app lists my location as "Lockport". I have no clue where Lockport even is.
I tried updating the weather, restarting phone, tried syncing, all of this to no avail.
