Since yesterday my stock weather app lists my location as "Lockport". I have no clue where Lockport even is.
I tried updating the weather, restarting phone, tried syncing, all of this to no avail.

I'm looking for a transparent background for the stock Weather widget(2.2). I found a few apks but they won't install. I found a couple .zips but they just for close, I think they are for 2.1.

So yeah, I'd love to delete everything there but my local weather as I added two cities by accident pressing the wrong area and I could care less what the weather is in New York. Any idea if this is doable? I've tried holding my finger on it, looking under "menu", deleting New York from the World Clock app (widget? New to this kind of phone...) didn't help either, searching this forum, searching Google, and cussing. None of those helped.
Aside from that it's not showing my correct location for the weather either although I know it was when I first set it up. I did install the OS update but I think it was fine even after that. Odd...
My wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).
So since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?
After the OTA update, just got it yesterday, now the HTC weather app isn't working! The widget isn't showing any weather data, and when I try to update it manually from within the app, it says no weather data available.
View 15 Replies View RelatedAfter the phone has been in hibernation mode for a while, when I bring it back up, my weather, and sometimes location is not updated. This just started happening a few days ago, and the only thing I can think of is that an app I installed in the last few days may be conflicting with it. I have read some posts from people with similar problems that can't get it to work at all. Mine will display the correct weather conditions and location if I hit the refresh button. I have had the phone almost a month, and up until a few days ago, it did everything automatically. I have not removed any components or applications.

For some reason the weather portion of the News and Weather app has stopped working (I believe this started yesterday). The app simply says "Sorry, weather currently unavailable." My Beautiful Widgets weather is just fine. Has this happened to anyone else?
I just flew from Raleigh, NC (eastern) to Chicago (central). The clock on the phone has the correct time but the weather/clock widget that came with the dinc is still on eastern time. When i tap on the widget the screen it takes me to shows the correct time but when I go back to the homescreen it's back to eastern. Any idea what's going on here?

View 3 Replies View RelatedS2 i777...a friend of mine bought it for me from us and i unlocked it using the code purchased from ebay..my problem is that i rooted my device to remove bloatware from the device and accidently removed samsung stock weather app(accuweather)completely..after that i unrooted my phone to stock stage as it was at the time my friend bought it but the weather app is no where to be found on my device....i tried to find for a solution to reinstall that app..i found the apk from here but when i try to install it gives me an error "Application not installed".

My HTC weather widget (the one included with the flip clock) is definitely not updating. I've tried different configurations of the HTC widget, and they don't update either. A friend of mine is having the same problem. I even did a factory reset to see if that would resolve the issue to no avail. Anyone else having this problem?

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecent quirk - my Eris all of a sudden insists that the sun is shining at 9:30 PM, and conversely that the moon is out at 8:00 AM (times approximate). I go into the main weather screen, it updates, looks fine, I go back to the home screen, still way off. Eventually it does "match" -right now, 1:50 PM, the Eris says "intermittent clouds" and looking out the window what bits of sky I can see are mostly cloudy. But it is a bit disconcerting to be sitting at the baseball game, pull out the Eris to check the time, and have a nice happy sun staring at me when it is way past sundown.

Will this damage my Eris, it is primarily the screen I am worried about. I've noticed the lcd performs a bit sluggish the colder it is. I read on another site leaving cell phones plugged into the charger might be a good idea but would that really keep the phone from getting cold?
