I have evileris, how do i runn apps on my sd card? also can i change Roms when i want? Will it hurt if I do it a lot, just to see which one I like? Will some one link me up to some links that doesn't download so slow?

I have a HTC Droid Eris and a 16gb micro SD card. My phone's internal memory is starting to run low, and I was wondering how to get my Eris to save my apps to my card instead.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo i rooted my phone this morning. Used the unprovoked to do this. I am not too technical so i needed an easy way to do this otherwise i might have bricked my phone.
Okay so now that i have rooted it i have the following questions:
1) i want to be able to save apps to my SD card (not on froyo yet) - i am not keen on these customized Roms and prefer something more standard what should i do?
2) how do i change the font on my phone
3) what else should i consider doing since i have rooted
With all of the above, hopefully they are easy to follow, as i mentioned i am not too technical.
Is there a way to change the icons of files on the SD card? I'm using OI File Manager.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI finally was able to root my droid eris and was also able to download and install apptoSD2 on my eris and when i click on the app, it tells me i need to partition my sdcard. I selected what i want the FAT32 and the ext2 to be and hit apply and it then tells me it is done and i need to reboot it and has a button to click but it didn't work so i did it by going to power and shutting down and restarting, but nothing happens, i even went back to the app several times after trying it and it tells me the same thing each time. Is there something i am forgetting to do, or what can i do to partition my sdcard and be able to save my apps to my sd card.

My preference would be to NOT have to do much work. I like the way my card is set up now. My phone is working well. I don't want to mess with a good thing.
Is it possible to simply copy the entire contents of the old, 8GB card onto the new 32GB card, insert the new card in the EVO, and be on my way? Or, is there other stuff I need to do?
I would rather NOT do any kind of clean installation and restore all my apps and data, one by one.

View 13 Replies View RelatedHope you guys can help. Since the 2.1 update I have certain apps which appear to be opening in the background when I didn't open them. I have Advanced Task Killer, and when I go in for example it shows Messages running, when I kill it, it will reappear in 30 secs or so, the same with MP3 store. Can these apps be stopped so they don't take up memory or what's the deal here. Thanks for any help.

Starting with I took my phone back to the shop as everything was going onto the phone memory, and I didn't know how to change it to the sd card. The man was very nice and changed it in seconds (not telling me how he did it!). I now find, all my photos and music that were on phone memory, have "disappeared". Do I have to download it all again or is there a way to sort this out?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a new 8gig series 6 SD card and want to change it out with the card the phone came with but i have a few questions. 1st backing up my current SD card: I hook up my phone via USB to my pc. Then open up the folder that says camera and copy and past those pic's over to my pc. Then I noticed there was another folder called downloaded which i opened up to find even more pictures so i copy and past those over to my pc (into the same folder that I copyed the camera pic's into). Now as best as I can tell I have backed up all my pictures to my pc (in one single folder). My phone had placed some picuters in the camera folder, and then in the downloaded folder. On my pc i put them all in one folder. Now when I go to move the pictures from my pc back to my phone with the new SD card can I just put them all under camera or do i have to remember which ones were under camera and which ones were under downloaded?
