I was a little bored so I decided to make this and post it. What do you think? I made everything from scratch (including the Google Logo) except the android in the background. I think it looks good. What do you all think? Of course the original does not have my username all over it, though that was to get people's opinions first before someone jacks it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know what setting I changed or what I clicked, but now I got these clouds and fog animating on the whole screen after I unlock it. Im thinking it has something to do with the weather, because it is cloudy. Im not complaining, its cool im just wondering if its killing the battery faster, because its always doing it on every unlock.

View 49 Replies View RelatedI plugged my phone into the usb port on my computer so I could play some music files directly from it (I had just downloaded some music last night and transfered it to my phone). I try to open up the phone from WMP and the phone freezes. I take the back off...The phone restarts and now its saying i have a blank sd card in the notifications field. I took it out and put it back in.
I clicked the option to format the sd card (thats all i can do) and nothing happens the notification doesnt change, it doesnt do anything at all. I tired to connect to my computer thru usb and format from there , once i click format in the explorer window the phone disconnects, the computer says there is no disk in 'F:" and im asked to mount again on my phone. This cycle over and over.
Any idea how to get the odd shortcuts off my main screen? accidentally added a few feet
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know that this is sort of stupid thing not to know, but how do you actually set up the link between the Eris and the desktop when using Wireless Tether? I went through the Wireless network Setup and I even went through Network Setup Wizard and Network Connections and still haven't been able to figure out how to actually initiate wireless tetherthing through wi-fi. I'm sure that it's something bonehead that I haven't considered. The only time I've set up networks is with the help of ISP tech support or the ISP setup CD.

But I do miss Windows Live since I'm a hotmail user (no switch to gmail comments please).My desktop gmail through the web is set up to "Send As" my hotmail account, but if I send a new email via my phone, it sends it from my gmail username.I did a search and it was inconclusive. Does anyone know of a configuration to send new mail with the phones native email as a "Send As?"If not, does K-9 only poll gmail or is it a live sync?

I was in the IRC room the other day, and was told by a couple of users that they had tried a few things and it wasn't possible.
Then today I was playing around the forums and Disabled SenseUI to check out the Android Home, for shits and giggles no attempt to keep it.
I set a background in Home, which spanned all 3 Home pages... when scrolling thru it actually looked like you were moving along a Image 3x the width of one screen.
When I went back to SenseUI.... that same background was there on all 6 pages no copies at all.....
Any1 kno how to make our on like this and install it on the phone? What would the resolution be on one page or multiple pages?
I notice certain games or applications. I download end up running in the background. Once I open up the "advanced task manager" or a free one I kill all the applications running and I notice over time or an hour the application come back up as running in the background? Any way to kill them any make them not come back? Just trying to get the phone to run smoother.
Also I have handcent SMS and notice that the regular messenger still is running even after I force close it it's still running. I can't un-install the normal messenger. Is there a way to get handcent SMS to be default or make that one run only and have the other one never run in the background?
I downloaded the Backgrounds App and found really cool background that I really like. I'd like to save the file so I can change it to a different background but go back to my current background later. Does anyone know where the file saves to?
View 11 Replies View RelatedLately I've been noticing that some apps are running in the background when I've not opened them. Footprints, Voice dialer, Messages (I use handcent), Peep and Music are the ones I've noticed and (coincidentally) are all apps I don't use. I only notice them when using Advanced Task Killer and have to kill them. It's a new issue so is it possible another app I downloaded recently is to blame? Am i maybe just insane?

If one uses Home Switcher does that accomplish the same thing, or is Sense still running in the background?
The only choices allowed for lock screen wallpaper are from my photo album, once I went to a configured theme/scene for the home screen. How can I get the stock wallpaper I use for the theme/scene I have to also be the wallpaper for the lock screen? It seems stuck on the photo I used and the only choices offered in the menu are from the photo album I made.

But now my calendar is with google sync so I have no need to back up to my computer...that I know of? I also haven't seen any mention of a fascinate desktop? Is there one and should I be syncing up?

Every time I have it kill my tasks it takes me to the HTC screen (the one that appears during start-up) and then "please wait" appears with my wallpaper in the background. It does still kill the tasks however it has never done this before and it seems abnormal. Ive heard that task managers can be bad for your phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy eris has always has pretty alright battery life, what I would expect out of a smartphone, if unplugged at 9AM it usually was running on its last leg around midnight. I've had it for over 5 months now, I've always had it activated on alltel, I installed the 2.1v3 leak before the official OTA was out and just lately it seems like there something very wrong with my battery life...
If I unplug my phone at 9AM within the past week and occasionaly check and respond to a text message, my battery had been down to almost 30% by NOON... what?..
I have noticed that if I disable Mobile Network (3g/1x data), the thing lasts all day and some... If I turn mobile network ON, I can't see that I have any network traffic or any apps running in the background that are syncing data at all... I've had google account sync mess up on me before and have to reset my google account because it gets stuck in a syncing loop, but its not doing that, already checked. Very weird.
Anyone thing it could be something wrong in my ##PROGRAM#/##778# provisioning menu, maybe something got changed?.. Maybe it could be do to Alltel's AT&T merger that's happening right now, maybe some 3G tower's radios are turned off or something...

So I have been looking for the best app to do that.I tried xtralogic's rdp, which is nice, but it looks like it only works with VPN, and when I tried to VPN in, it would give me a out of memory warning, and crash.So I tried phonemypc. also nice, but that only works if the account in use is constantly logged on to the servers, which I can't do.My account always gets logged off because other users need to get on as well.is there another app that might work better than these? does anyone else have a similar problem?

None of them mention if they work with the new, more secure, RDP introduced with the latest versions of Windows. I tried one demo app, and it failed to connect to my Windows 7 computer (which uses this latest version by default). Can anyone confirm a remote desktop client that supports the latest version of RD?I found a great VNC viewer, but I need one that specifically supports the built in remote desktop protocol.
