I dont know if this is a correct place, but i could not find my answers and i believe there and much more expertized people here, then anywhere else. I want my Desktop to boot to Android OS. I know it can be done and also some notebooks available with Android OS installed. Can some one please help me in how can i install Android OS to a Full Desktop Machine, and how i can i set it up boot to it.

I cant seem to find the answer anywhere. I just came from a Blackberry and I have always sync'd with my desktop at night, mainly to back up my calendar. But now my calendar is with google sync so I have no need to back up to my computer...that I know of? I also haven't seen any mention of a fascinate desktop? Is there one and should I be syncing up?
View 4 Replies View RelatedFollowed the instructions in http://developer.android.com/sdk/adding-components.html for adding 2.0 as components to an existing 1.6 SDK, from within Eclipse.
It didn't work. Not by a long shot. Instead, it got partway through and then said that C:android-sdk-windows-1.6_r1 tempDocPackage.new01 couldn't be copied because of a lock, and similarly for PlatformPackage.new01.
It said to shut down running programs, but the only program running was Eclipse, which was needed to do the upgrade.
The cancel button was disabled, and the close box didn't work. Shutting down Eclipse killed it, but left C:android-sdk-windows-1.6_r1 in a corrupted state. Restarting Eclipse showed the Android projects with errors, no SDK, and a disabled Android SDK and AVD Manager (which means no ability to rerun the install).
Shutting down Eclipse, renaming the corrupted SDK directory, unzipping 1.6 again into C:, and restarting Eclipse made it as if nothing had ever happened, which is good. But it is not possible to complete the install from Eclipse, which is bad.

When I run my application on a physical phone from within Eclipse, my Google MapView works perfectly. If export the app to an apk file and install it to the same phone from the command line with adb then the MapView comes up but shows only the Google logo and grid - no map tiles appear. I'm using a debug application key and a GMaps API key generated with that debug key. I've verified that this happens on both the Droid and N1 phones. The logcat looks identical in both the working and non-working cases - no obvious error messages.

So I have been looking for the best app to do that.I tried xtralogic's rdp, which is nice, but it looks like it only works with VPN, and when I tried to VPN in, it would give me a out of memory warning, and crash.So I tried phonemypc. also nice, but that only works if the account in use is constantly logged on to the servers, which I can't do.My account always gets logged off because other users need to get on as well.is there another app that might work better than these? does anyone else have a similar problem?

None of them mention if they work with the new, more secure, RDP introduced with the latest versions of Windows. I tried one demo app, and it failed to connect to my Windows 7 computer (which uses this latest version by default). Can anyone confirm a remote desktop client that supports the latest version of RD?I found a great VNC viewer, but I need one that specifically supports the built in remote desktop protocol.

- Does not have to be "fancy", i.e. I only want to control my computer from my phone with my mouse.
- Needs to be FREE
- Easy configuration. Up until now, whatever program I have tried seems to be blocked by something (most likely my Windows Firewall) and I have been unable to make it work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the Droid from Verizon a couple days ago, and about two days ago I rooted it, and I'm now using Bugles Beast 0.9 with a 5 slot Chevy 1.2ghz kernel. I keep the CPU set to 800 because i feel like 1200ghz is burning up the battery unnecessarily when I'm playing games. However, I can't figure out why sometimes when I'm returning to the home screen, no icons will display for about 5 seconds (usually when exiting a program that eats up a large amount of CPU). Could it have something to do with Set CPU settings?

-Access my desktop via remote desktop

-Stream music from my PC. I've been doing some research and it seems there are a few options for what I'm trying to accomplish, so I'm hoping you folks can point me in the right direction.

I just got my first Android and love it after having used Win Mobile for years. However, there's one app I just can't seem to find.
I want something like MyMobiler (Windows Mobile - My Mobile)
Instead of accessing my PC desktop on my phone, I was able to FULLY access my phone desktop on my pc (i.e., I could completely operate my phone on my PC which allowed me to type and enter data faster and more accurately).
Does anyone know an app that'll do this (even a non-free app would be great).

View 9 Replies View RelatedYes we have threads about this already but we still have not gotten an answer AND I think it's about time somebody at least explain what does this number actually MEAN. I'm getting frustrated with the lack of transparency on this.
My apps used to be around 56% active installs
VERY soon after I updated the apps to allow install to SDCARD (preferExternal), then the active install count started dropping like a rock. Now it's around 39% today for my main app.
My opinion is there is a bug in the SDCARD install feature somewhere that is not counting those installs. We know there already is a bug with home screen icons if you install to sdcard you will get a blank icon until the Home app restarts.
