Jun 30, 2010I searched the net on how to change folder icons but i cant figure out how except for this app that actually creates a folder and if you want to edit the folder you have to use the app, not really what I'm looking to do cuz i already have folders i just want to change the icon.

Jun 30, 2010I have tried using Better Cut and Folder Organiser in order to change the icons on my HTC Desire. However, when I try and do this for Messaging, Email or People application, it always reverts back to the standard HTC icon.
How have other people got round this? Or is this just a problem I am experiencing? I am un-rooted.

Nov 25, 2010I notice that the home screen is customizable but not the four applications on the bottom, the call, email, browser and applications. How would I change those icons with different icons? Mainly the email and browser. How do I turn off or at least severly limit the data that goes to and from my phone. I do not have wireless and am just a bit paranoid about going over my data limit. I got the phone from work and this is my first smartphone so I am a bit nervous about anything I do on it.

Nov 22, 2011I can successfully customize folder icons on a removable Flash Disk using Desktop.ini file and a separate icon file. But I am unable to do the same thing on folders on the connected phone device that, for all I know, is similar to a removable device. The phone is a Samsung Droid Charge. When I copy the Desktop.ini and the folder containing the icon file from the pc to the memory card, nothing happens. The icons for the folders still have the same default appearance. Don't know how many people care to have custom icons but it is a nice thing to have when you are always trying to identify a few folders from many.

Jan 9, 2014I have the Chrome bookmarks widget on my homescreen, and the first spot is taken up by the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder (see screenshot). This is really annoying. When I first started using the widget, this was not the case, after a while it just appeared there.
Anyway to avoid this? Maybe even a way to change the order of the bookmarks?
If not, is there any way to remove the "Mobile bookmarks", "Desktop bookmarks" and "Other bookmarks" folders in Chrome so I could just have my bookmarks in one place?
I'm on a Sony Xperia Z1, Android 4.3, not rooted.

Aug 4, 2010i have launcher pro on my evo and when i change my icons to the custom icons i put on the phone after a little bit they all go back to the original grey icons except for my email one. Does anyone know whats going on here? Also i cannot change the way the normal icons look. No matter how long i hold down the icon the only thing that hapens is it gives me the option to put it in the trash can.
