I have HTC Sync installed on Win 7.Have set to sync Photos, music and bookmarks.All went into my Desire except bookmarks.Just can't see them in the default browser.Tried changing the setting in HTC Sync to IE / Firefox.

It seems that a lot of Android users were disappointed that Google didn't include bookmark syncing. So I'd like to introduce a solution - Transmute, an app that synchronizes the Android browser's bookmarks with Google Bookmarks!

I have my Dolphin bookmarks set to sync with my Google account. When I tell it to sync, I don't receive any errors. It tells me downloading bookmarks / uploading bookmarks.
However, when I go to my Google bookmarks, I don't see anything. I am going here:

Where should I go on my computer to view the bookmarks I synced with Dolphin?
I have tried a gmarks(Google Bookmarks) app and the app named Pocket(formerly read it later), but niether quite fufill my need for syncing web page URLs to the cloud. The Android side of things works sufficent for the most part, but fall short on the Firefox add on side. For example gmarks has tag support so when I view my list, I can organize by categories rather then a long list of URLs. This would be ideal but the two most popular gmarks add ons for Firefox are broken or partially broken. Pocket works great on Android and Firefox, but lacks tags for organizing by a categorey. so I end up with a long list of URLs simply sorted by the time I add them.
I was hoping some one here can recomend an Android App for syncing URLs to the cloud that also has a supported/working Firefox Add on, and it must support tags. Preferably, function similar to Pocket, on Firefox would be nice. What I mean by this is I simply click a button and a small list appears and I do not have to even browse to the companies website to browse my bookmarks. However, I could live with a button that will simply launch the providers website if it comes down to it.
Dumb-ass question from me...how do I remove a bookmark from my Desire?Tried pressing down and waiting for the bin to appear, but it just wants to ditch the whole-lot of 'em.There are one or two in there from T-mobile and at least one I've done wrong, but can't seem to shift them.

Honestly, great web browsing is the biggest selling point for android, and no decent browser apart from opera supports that basic function (sadly, safari has it licked, bookmark manager on the iPhone is great). I've tried some market apps, but they either don't recognize bookmarks from dolphin or just plain suck.

I also cant download from the Market, the download appears to start & says 'Starting download' but never progresses, i assume this could be to do with the sync not working.

Can sync with outlook on home laptop, but cannot sync People and Calendar on works laptop. Am I missing something fundamental?
I installed HTC Sync 2.0.28 on Win XP machine and Have HTC desire connected to it. Desire is able to connect to HTC Sync and works fine.
I have setup eclipse with Android SDK on the same Win XP machine.
Problem comes here ..
HTC sync works fine as long as i don't launch any Android SDK sample applications through eclipse on to virtual device. From that point phone no longer able connect to HTC Sync . Only Solution is i have to restart my workstation then only Desire is able to connect to Synch again. Restarting phone is not working.
I'm having a strange problem with a new appointment I've just entered in my Desire.Problem shows itself as follows:
1 Go to Doctor, get new appointment for 8:30am next Feb 14th.
2 Enter appointment into Desire under PC Sync calendar. Shows up OK in calendar.
3 Go Home. Sync with Outlook (2003 SP3) on home PC (XP Pro SP3)
4 Outlook shows appointment as 9:30am on Feb 14th.
5 Correct in Outlook back to 8:30 and re-sync.
6 Desire now shows appointment for 7:30am.
7 Repeat...
Off the top of my head, I'd say that there's a Daylight Saving / Summer Time issue here, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to go about fixing it.I live in Qld, Australia. Qld does not have Daylight Saving during Summer, but other Eastern Australian States do. I've only had the Desire for about 2 weeks, but no other dates have been increased/decreased by an hour when I've synced them. Google doesn't seem to be my friend (at least with the key words I've used).
I am looking for a bookmark application which ties into the default browser. I've found something called LiveBookmarks but that ends up being a folder, but I'm after an actual app which will bring up a list of all the bookmarks + favicon next to it.I'm also looking for a decent RSS reader aswell, any ideas?

I've downloaded HTC sync from the support website and checked the sync itunes to device bit. But it says that there's 0 megabytes of music to sync. When I click sync now, it does sync but nothing happens with music. I do have music in itunes, so does anyone have any ideas what I need to do?

View 8 Replies View Relatedhow do i add a bookmark to the bookmark widget with a picture?currently mine has facebook, bbc, cnn, myspace, amazon google and ebay.id like to remove a few and add my own, im using the dolphin browser when i hit add bookmark on the widget it says bookmark saved but doesnt get added to the widget but only to the dolphin bookmarks. i want to be able to have it in the widget so when i click it it just opens up the webpage. is this possible?i read someone said open the browser and hit menu to get up a menu to edit the bookmarks? i hit menu and the only one i can see is add bookmark. and the rest are not relevant.if i hit the plus sign at the top left of dolphin i can get the list of bookmarks. if i hit menu again the only options are snyc, import and label. i dont see how you can edit them again.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSometimes I wish I was Dr Frankenstein and could take the parts I like from all 5 major browsers and put them together into one SUPER-browser.
1. Stock Browser (full-featured but slow)
2. Dolphin HD (medium quick but weird bookmarking scheme)
3. Opera Mini (fast and great bookmarks, but no pinch-to-zoom)
4. Skyfire (all round probably best one, but slower than xscope)
5. xScope (very fast and light but lousy bookmarking and no copy text)
Anyway, I was giving Dolphin HD a shot because I like the way you can drag your bookmarks out from the left side. I actually like to have my bookmarks alphabetized (I know, NUTS, right?), but apparently Dolphin sees no need for this as they don't have any option to sort your bookmarks by any metric other than to drag each one by hand - a rough task if you have 200 bookmarks.
Dolphin does have this "Bookmarks to SD" add-on that will allow you to export your stock browser (universal) bookmarks to an html file, then import them back into Dolphin. Unfortunately, it somehow reverses the order of my A-Z alphabetized universal bookmarks so that they are Z-A in Dolphin.
I changed sd cards and i believe it erased my stock book marks. i lost the cnn book mark which i liked. now when i go to cnn.com it takes me to the cnnmobile.com. i want the m.cnn.com one. I can only get the full site or the cnnmobile.com.

After I added my own personal bookmarks to the widget, I noticed I did not get a thumbnail of the site associated with the bookmark. Is there any way to add a bookmark and also get the thumbnail? View 2 Replies View RelatedHow do you remove that annoying Samsung Galaxy S bookmark? Is there a file to delete since you cannot remove it through the phone? Go to browser. Go to bookmarks. See that one? Click on it. Enjoy what you see for the last time. Then go to bookmarks again. Click the last tab "history" on top. Find that galaxshelp entry in there, and it would have a yellow star to it, meaning that the history entry is bookmarked. Hit the star to un-bookmark. You are done.
