Nexus :: Nexus One - How Facebook Contacts Synced To Phone And When I Rang Saw There Display Pictures
May 28, 2010Quick Story: I had a HTC Legend, and i had a number of problems, so after some arse kicking by me, i got the Nexus one for 25 per month
I am not new to android: i have had the G1 which i did not root, the T-Mobile pulse, which i rooted and the HTC Legend and now the Nexus one.
Some questions?
With the legend i am am awhere of the Sence UI ? i liked how facebook contacts synced to my phone and when i rang i saw there display pictures, does the Nexus one do this?
SMS, is there a similar app to the legend, where you see threaded messages with a picture of there facebook dp?
I can't hear the phone when it rings, its so quiet, the volume is on max, is there anyway to increase this?
Nexus 1 (1GHZ) Cpu apps are there any i can play on
EP build UK Android 2.2 i have done some Googleing and cant find a release date for it
Android :: Facebook App Erased My Phone Contacts
Mar 1, 2010I just activated the Facebook app on my motorola droid and set it to "Sync with existing contacts." Then when I went to my phone's contacts they were all gone except for 5 seemingly-random contacts, three of which aren't even in my Facebook contacts. This is a major problem for me. I had nearly a hundred contacts on my phone. Does anyone know how I can get them back?

Aug 31, 2010I used this app called iDrive lite to back my iPhone contacts on it, and now when I use it on Android, they load just fine, however when my phone reboots. all the contacts disappear. However it doesn't erase my manually added ones. Just the ones I restored from that app.

May 20, 2010OK, so why do I not see anyone else commenting on this? I have owned several cell phones in the past that needed updates. NONE of these phones ever needed to be backed up prior to updating because an update resets your phone. STUPID! I simply don't have the time to do so and then try to reset up my phone the way I spent so much time doing the first time. This update should be available on the settings menu and definitely should not require backup.

Mar 16, 2010About a week ago my phone lost all its contacts. I forced a sync and they came back. I then turned off contact sync to try and ensure it wouldn't happen whilst I was away, and today they've gone again. Anyone else had this happen? Any idea of a fix?

I get really bad reception in my house and it will go from edge, to 3G, to no data signal. I go stand on my porch, get 3G.... they still don't send.... but they don't fail to send, they just sit there with that stupid envelope next to them or that spinning circle (handcent).

Anyways I'm having a weird intermittent problem when I send texts through Hangouts and I'm not sure whats causing the issue. I've had Hangouts send roughly a dozen texts through thinking they were picture texts. I've had my friends answer me back saying "I didn't receive the picture", and I never tried to send a pic?I'm also not really keen on Hangouts, whats a simple to use, bug free messaging app?

Jul 19, 2010If you removed your acct for some reason you may find your phone unable to sync w/ facebook photos and available only for updates.
If this happens to you:
Go to Contacts
Click Menu
Click Add Friends
Click Facebook (not add account)
Check mark the friends you would like to add... IMPORTANT name spelling must be the same to go over without a hitch.
If the name is different and you've ALREADY added the facebook photo... Click on the name in the contact list. Click link... a suggestion should pop up. Select it.
HTC Incredible :: Pictures For Contacts Not Updating
Jul 16, 2010I looked through the forums but didn't see any answer to this issue; I have a DINC and when I logged in to Facebook the first time and linked the photos they all showed up; but now when people update their picture, it doesn't update on my Incredible. I tried logging out and back in then 'resyncing' it again to no avail. Any resolution to this problem? I see that some Evo and Hero users are having the same problem.

Also, for the contacts I do have pictures of, how do I make them larger? When that person calls, their picture is tiny and doesn't fill the designated area for the picture. I'm currently using BH_MAN's updated BH2 stock rom.

May 27, 2012I've had all my Desire Z contacts on the 'Phone' account, and now want to move them to Gmail, so that I can then completely disable the 'Phone' account, and start using the 'Google' account, so that my contacts remain syncronised between Gmail and my Desire Z ..
Now I've managed to export a vCard file from my phone and have imported the contacts into Gmail. The only problem is that contact photos have not been ported over..So how can I export contacts from my phone WITH the pictures as well ?
Or, alternatively, where on my phone filesystem does Android store contact pictures ? I can then bring them to my PC, and manually add them to Gmail contacts quickly ..
