Is it possible to change the answer call lockscreen from the original slide down bar? I am using the vanilla lockscreen but I still get the HTC lockscreen when answering calls and this causes these calls to be answered/rejected when I take my phone out of my pocket.

I'm using X10, when I'm answering the phone, i found that it seem does not screen lock properly...when the screen contact to my face, it will touch the end call...how to fix this problem?

I mute, sometimes end calls, start 3 way calls etc and I have no idea how to prevent it. Is there any way I can make the screen lock during phone calls or change the call screen altogether?

For whatever reason this happens in my pocket at times.Is there a setting or an app that adds a swipe pattern, removes the swipe and maps it to a button, or any other method that would make it harder for my pocket to achieve?

I tried the pattern lock thing it has but if a call comes through or a text message comes through it still allows you to answer and/or view the message without entering the lock pattern..
I am using Sony Xperia Neo L with ported Paranoid CM9 rom with CM9 OC Gov Net kernel. I have used it for a few months until today, I can't receive phone calls but can still make phone calls. When somebody calls me, the phone will just vibrate for less than a second. I can see who is calling me in the call logs. There isn't a screen for me to answer the call: with a call icon which can be pulled left or right. The caller would just hear my neo L's voicemail greeting or like forwarding to another phone ( i know that because the beeping sound is different.) I have checked the forwarding setting already.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Evo that hangs up on everyone that calls me.I keep the phone in my pocket and, in trying to pull it out to answer a call, my leg slides the bar.I could keep the phone in my pocket upside down and then I would answer every call but that isn't much of an alternative.I am looking for something that overrides the Sense's lockscreen/answer screen.I tried both GoTo and WidgetLocker.Both are great programs but neither addresses the incoming call issue.

However, with the new 2.1, just about anywhere on the screen becomes active (especially when juggling two simultaneous calls). What are the chances that we'll see a 'lock screen' function for phone calls? Those of us who actually use the phone for phone calls whilst holding it would surely appreciate it. Other android devices have had this for years.

Most people seem to want to be able to lock their screen while on a call (using bluetooth headsets mostly), and I'd prefer it didn't go to lock while on a call. I just find it annoying when I've been talking for a few seconds or minutes, then take the phone away from my head, having to wake up the screen by swiping my thumb across the light sensor, set the unlock pattern, hit the home button to leave the dialer app, find the app I need to look something up in while talking, etc. And sometimes it doesn't go to lock at all! Does anyone know why/when the screen goes to lock during a call only? The rest of the time, it takes the full 10 minutes I have it set for before dimming out and shutting down. But usually, during a call, it seems like only a few seconds.

Anytime I get in a call and hold the phone to my ear with my should, I start hitting buttons like Mute, Add Call, End Call, etc. I've already been through 3 replacement devices, and all 3 have the issue.
I learned last night (after fighting with a tech at version for 2 hours) that the issue is really just a design flaw by Motorola. If you make an out going call, and then cover the light sensor with your hand (while the phone is vertical), all works great. If you keep the sensor covered and start laying the phone on it's back, eventually the screen will unlock. Doesn't happen every time, only about 80% of the time.
Needless to say, Verzion told me that because that's how Motorola designed it I'm stuck having to deal with it. So now I'm trying to find an app that can lock my screen while I'm in a call. I have bought Screen Suite but it really does way too much for me (plus, I hate the lock screen on it). I much prefer the default lock screen.
Does an app exist that can launch the stock lock screen while in a call? If not does anyone know if the SDK even provides the means to launch the lock screen? Because if so I may have to resort to writing my own app for it.
I'm not a big fan of the sense drag down lock screen. Is there someway to change this?

However, when I finish the phone call or take the phone away from my ear... I get the lock screen. Why? Why doesn't the screen just go back on to whatever screen was on before the phone call... like the dial pad. To hang up a phone call, I have to unlock the screen first.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X. I was previously employed by a company that used Exchange Server and Active Sync and I added my company email account to the Droid X. This forced me to use a 4 digit pin as required by the mail admin of the company. I no longer work for this company, and deleted the active sync account from my phone (and no longer have access to it by any means). The security settings for the PIN. When I check SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK the options, "None" and "Pattern" are grayed out and not selectable. When I look under SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY ->SELECT DEVICE ADMINISTRATORS the device administrator is listed a "Corporate Sync" and I cannot change or delete this.

Is there a way to get rid of the HTC slide down lock screen and use the default android lock screen that you slide to the side. I'v seen apps like Lockbot and WidgetLocker, but you still have to use the HTC slide down lock screen when answering calls.
