Aug 19, 2009Here is what I would like to do:
I have an HTC Magic and I have a couple of contacts who I frequently talk with on skype. Is there anyway to talk with them skype-to-skype on the Android phone?
The Skype Lite app does not allow calling.
I don't mind either calling using my local minutes OR using my data plan.
Are there any other applications that could assist me with this?

May 10, 2010My dad is going overseas and has a BlackBerry Storm with Skype and I have a Droid with Skype. Can I call him overseas for free using skype? I know that if we both used our laptops to talk it would be free, so is there any difference in using skype mobile to skype mobile?

Aug 27, 2010I finally found an EVO from an authorized Sprint Retailer store. They got 3 in that morning. I bought the last one at 2pm. Nevertheless, I am 100% happy and in love with this thing. Absolutely no complaints. I have a question though, I have a skype account and I "thought" I could use it on the EVO but when I go to Skype mobile, it says only Verizon customers can use it? Is that true? Can someone walk me through using skype on my EVO??

the backbutton doesn't work and advanced task killer doesn't see skype.
At the top left corner, i can see skype is still runnin when i use the home button to get back home.
how can i quit this app?
there is nothing in menu except "add" and "groups"
i figured out if you set your status to sign off, that works. but is that the only way?

Jun 21, 2010It ain't working for me. I enter my number on skype.com and click the link it sends me, they say it isn't available on my phone. I navigate to skype.com/m and hit "download" and I get a 404 error.

Oct 5, 2010Looks like the new Skype app won't work over 3G in the US, probably because the carriers would whine about it. I have put together a modified version of the skype apk from the market that works over 3G anywhere. Be sure to uninstall the Market app first!

HTC EVO 4G :: Video Calling - Fring Over Skype - On 3G
Jun 4, 2010All I get is "call terminated" when I pick up and the connection is established. Tried initiating the video call from both ends (PC and EVO) with the same result. anyone?
have not tried on 4G yet since it;s dead at home (have it at the office and couple of streets down from my house - maybe I'll take a walk tonight?)
UPDATE:
-when initiating the call from the PC it rings on the phone and I only get "call terminated" when I pick it up on the EVO
- when initiating the call from the EVO it rings once and it hangs up (does not ring on the PC and I cannot answer it)
doing a restart of the EVO right now

alright, a power off and on of the EVO did it.
