Has anyone noticed a series of vertical dull lines (slightly yellow) when looking at the screen on an all white background with the backlight high?
Is this normal for a capacitive touch screen ? I've tried searching multiple forums and had no luck finding an answer. Edit - This is my first touchscreen device, so I'm really not sure about what is going on in there!

View 14 Replies View RelatedToday I was resizing a picture and noticed the screen on my droid is slightly uncentered.asically there's a slightly wider black border on the left and bottom of the screen.Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their droid.And if I just made you notice that yours is off center also I apologize.

I set a multi-select mode, in this mode, user just need to swipe his finger to start selecting multiple items (this case, gridview can not be scrolled). And in a normal touch, Gridview still can vertically scroll for user to see other thumbnails and continue selecting.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk the black plastic bezel around the phone .screen..I have notice it gets worn to a dull finish..I got a replacment phone brand new 3 days ago..and I noticed on the corners of the phones bezel..arent shiny no more but a dull finish..they must have used some really cheap plastice..i dont use a case..i either put the phone in my pocket or in a leather hip case...anyone else noticing this ware....
View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night i was on the Ebay app on my desire i finished looking at some items i sold then i sat it down to let it charge. a few minutes later i got a text or email so i push the power button on top and this is what i saw.. Sorry for the quality. I have no idea what has caused this. I left the battery out over night and it still does it. I can still hear notifications and what not just cant see anything. The phone is less than a month old. I have never dropped it or anything. Its flawless, not a scratch on it. It seems like every time i get a new phone something odd like this happens to it. I also have been hearing alot of android phones have been causing ppl problems. I believe i can get it fixed through warranty. Has anyone have a clue what caused this? is it a hardware or software issue?
View 8 Replies View RelatedRandomly, when actively doing stuff on the phone, I go to white lines running from the top of the phone to the bottom when the screen was in portrait position. There were two of them on the right side, each line being a couple pixels in width, separated by a few pixels of normal screen. It lasted for a few seconds, and then the screen reset itself. It's only happened once or twice, but it should happen at all with such an expensive phone and nice screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed some type of faint scrolling lines on their screens. I notice it more when on lighter backgrounds, like the blue ink splash. Both my behold II and a friends has the same thing. Is this a property of OLED screens, some type of refresh? They are horizontal lines and dont always cover the whole screen.I really read how awesome an OLED screen was supposed to be, but eh I think the Iphone screen is still nicer. Any thoughts on these lines, I doubt this is limited to two phones.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis problem happened few hours before i rooted my pad. Well the problem is a vertical green line that appeared in my screen and dont go off. I tried to use stuck pixel solutions and a factory reset (I didn't tried to put back in stock rom, I don't know how to do that).
The line is very perceptive on a pink background, but completely hide by a green background.

Is This a lcd problem for sure or a sofware problem? If it is a hardware problem, can i ask for a replacement from asus? For get a replacement, need i to put back in stock firmware or just a factory reset is enough?

I tried to take a photo from my desktop using power+vol down and the line dont show up in the photo, maybe really a hardware problem...
So last night I was riding in the car using my hero. All of a sudden 2 lines appeared across the screen horizontally about 1" up from bottom. Can't fix it. Tried a hard reset to factory and still there. Any suggestions? I am traveling in Chicago today so will find a sprint store for exchange. I have TEP. But at 2 days old should it just be swapped for a new one and not affect TEP?

I'm not talking about inward and outward, but rather up and down on the vertical y-axis like from the ear speaker at the top to the mouth mic at the bottom. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have got one big problem with the touch input of my Hero. The screen is too sensitive. I can navigate on the screen while my finger is about 5 cm away from it. I can choose what I want, but the screen takes the right horizontal position of my finger, but not the vertical. Anything I want to take, the screen takes the one on the bottom of the screen. The same when I want to write a message or something like this. I choose the "W" or "E", but the screen takes the "X" or "C". If the display goes on Standby and I wake it again, everything is good for a few seconds, but than the same mistake comes again. I already tried to wipe and install a new MCR, but nothing helps. I think, but I am not sure, that I have that problem after I have installed the htc keyboard on android 2.1, as I tried it for a few hours.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOn my htc i was looking through display, i see g sensor calibration and i perform this calibration and after i do so the screen seems to have a delay when switch from the horizontal position to the vertical position. its weird because when i switch to the phone horizontally it switch normally and responds fast. but when i switch back to vertically it takes almost 7 seconds to actually switch back, sometimes it switch within 2 or 3 secs but never as quick as switching horizontally.

Well I tried to create my own ROM. when the tablet boots, the back light comes on and that is all I get. When I press the on/off button the back light goes on and off. Another thing I noticed is that when I connect to the PC I can see the SD card and the External SD card mounted as MTS Device.
When I reset the tablet via the little hole on the top (next to the sound buttons) it just seems to switch off and then on again. I tried to switch the device off and try resetting (holding ON button + Volume UP + Volume DOWN) to get to CWM but I can't get into CWM. The back light just comes on.
I also tried to see if I could access the device via the ADB shell, but there is no device found. Which is weird as why does Windows see the device. I am not sure how to proceed. I also noticed that Windows (In device manager) sees the device as a Ramos W30HD and has an exclamation mark next to it?
I've noticed the Home and Menu buttons are slightly in further than the other buttons, possibly indicative of that prolonged use could affect their stability. I've only had this phone since yesterday and haven't used it too much but I'm worried about this already The Home button particularly, in which I use the most, is sinking

View 11 Replies View RelatedFirstly, I have an HTC Magic, so no hardware keyboard for me, only soft. I've found that typing can often be quite laggy. It depends on the application in which I'm typing, but Messenger can be quite laggy, especially in landscape, but is no where near as bad as ChompSMS was. On the other hand, Opera beats the default browser hands down (indeed, I think typing in Opera is the smoothest around!) - the default browser's typing is simply terrible when the page loaded has quite a few images and data. Now, I understand why this could be the case (limited ram, etc) but obviously, as a consumer or user, that doesn't make my experience any better.
The other day I reset my phone to factory defaults (gotta love gmail sync up!) and installed only the following apps:
AndNav2
Barcode scanner
BeebPlayer
Netcounter
Postcode Navigator
TTS Service
Useful Switchers
And it still seems pretty laggy. I regularly purge my browser cache and delete all my messenger threads. Is there anything else I'm missing? I love the phone, but this is becomming a bit of an issue for me, and the fact that so many others praise it makes me think there might be something wrong with my phone and/or setup, rather than it being a universal problem.
My phone has started going off for no apparent reason recently and opening the case shows that the battery is slightly loose, so i push the battery back in and can turn it on again?
Anybody else had this, any suggested solution? I've had it for 8/9 months without a problem like this before these past few days.
