HTC Desire : Way To Setup LCD With Black Spot In Middle Of Screen
Sep 16, 2010After destroying my camera flash with with some app i managed to destroy also my LCD screen. I forgot to take my phone out my back pocket and sat down. Now the phone has a black spot in the middle for the LCD screen.
Do you think I should send it HTC service for warranty and let them replace the screen (guess it will be expensive) or should I replace it by myself?

Oct 31, 2010Last night i was on the Ebay app on my desire i finished looking at some items i sold then i sat it down to let it charge. a few minutes later i got a text or email so i push the power button on top and this is what i saw.. Sorry for the quality. I have no idea what has caused this. I left the battery out over night and it still does it. I can still hear notifications and what not just cant see anything. The phone is less than a month old. I have never dropped it or anything. Its flawless, not a scratch on it. It seems like every time i get a new phone something odd like this happens to it. I also have been hearing alot of android phones have been causing ppl problems. I believe i can get it fixed through warranty. Has anyone have a clue what caused this? is it a hardware or software issue?

May 26, 2010After having my Desire for no more than 2 weeks, I started to get dust under the screen on the left hand side about half way up. Though frustrating as my phone is never out of some sort of case, it is not too bad, doesn?t affect the phone in anyway and you can only really see it when the screen is off. I have been to my local T-Mobile shop and they have said they will happily send it off to be cleaned but to wait until it gets worse as I will be without my phone for a couple of weeks.

May 23, 2010I kept rejecting phone calls whilst pulling the desire from my pocket, so I have switch the lock screen using lockbot to a side swipe instead, this is working very well.However, now when i receive a call it jumps straight to an answer or decline screen which is just as easy to reject by mistake.Does anyone know a solution this problem? I suppose what im looking for is to have to unlock the phone before answering the call.

Android :: How To Show A Webview Inside An Activity In Middle Of Screen
Jul 30, 2010I am having issue while showing a WebView in an activity in the middle of the screen. I have an activity and I want to show a webview in the center of screen. My activity is transparent so background activity will be visible. Whenever I try to create a webview and add it to activity using setContentView(webview) it always shows the view on the top left corner of the screen. Is their a way to workaround this?I am trying to do this via pure code only.

Aug 25, 2010I would love a music app that could be controlled with the phone still in my pocket. Sometimes I'm working in the yard with gloves on, dirty, sweaty, and the last thing I want to do is take my glove off, pull the phone out of my pocket and get it dirty while trying to skip. I know there are headphones w/controls but that would still be tough with gloves. Tapping would be awesome.
Something like:
One tap for pause
Two for play
Three for next song
etc
Maybe even use hard or soft taps. Or tap-wait-tap to avoid controlling it by accidental bumps.
Anything out there like this? Is it even possible to write an app that does this?
Samsung Fascinate :: Screen White Lines From Top To Bottom?
Oct 14, 2010Randomly, when actively doing stuff on the phone, I go to white lines running from the top of the phone to the bottom when the screen was in portrait position. There were two of them on the right side, each line being a couple pixels in width, separated by a few pixels of normal screen. It lasted for a few seconds, and then the screen reset itself. It's only happened once or twice, but it should happen at all with such an expensive phone and nice screen.

Dec 27, 2009Has anyone else noticed some type of faint scrolling lines on their screens. I notice it more when on lighter backgrounds, like the blue ink splash. Both my behold II and a friends has the same thing. Is this a property of OLED screens, some type of refresh? They are horizontal lines and dont always cover the whole screen.I really read how awesome an OLED screen was supposed to be, but eh I think the Iphone screen is still nicer. Any thoughts on these lines, I doubt this is limited to two phones.

Apr 26, 2010Does anyone have problems using the optical trackpad to edit text? If I'm (for example) writing a SMS and then want to navigate back though the text to correct a typo, I find it very difficult to get the cursor to the required position. Sometimes it seems too sensitive and jumps more lines / positions than I want; and sometimes it seems not sensitive enough! Is it just me, or do others have problems using the trackpad?
