My phone couldn't update from 2.1 to 2.2 because i used the unrevoked method of rooting. in order for me to get 2.2 i updated my phone with the pc36img.zip file and then rooted again with unrevoked.Now when I'm trying update from 2.2 with the new 3.29.651.5 update, the phone will have the triangle with a exclamation point.Any ideas?

I've been trying to update my phone now for nearly two weeks, trying various options, yet nothing I do helps in any way.I started off just running the update from SEUS with my phone as i've been using it.the updater started, gets about 70% through "Preparing" and pops up an error "Unable to install or start software update components." Closing which pops up "try again" or come to this site.I then tried uninstalling all installed components, same result as above.I then tried a Master Reset to factory setting, same result as above.I then disable the Firewall and the Anti-Virus, same result as above.Basically, i'm at the end of my tether, this should not be this difficult, I should not have to jump through this amount of hoops.If there was a way to legitimately root the phone (keeping warranty), I could already have Froyo installed, instead of this irritating mess thats causing me nothing but headaches.

I am using htc android phone in that i am trying to install my application.
I developed application using eclipse ADT plugin and taken apk file and copied in my phone SD card -> Android folder.
After that i installed Astro file manager in my phone and trying to browse my apk file but still i unable to find Android folder and my apk file in the Astro file manager.
When i download app from market it says they downloaded but installation unsuccessfull it reads "insufficient storage available".My SD card has free space of 6.5 gig.can someone steer me in the right direction?

Gmail for Android updated, becomes Market app - Engadget. seems nice but it shows up in market and downloads ok just will not install. it says it was unsuccessful. just in case it is relevant i have tazz 7 on my eris. it says only for 2.2 so is that why maybe? even though technically i am running froyo.

It doesn't matter if I will post the brand name of my tablet or whatever because what I only wanted to fix is this. When I follow every instruction written at this link, and following instructions 1-7, after reaching step 5 execute run.bat. It displays the following image I screen captured. (And my tablet doesn't reboot, it's the sign that the computer can't access my tablet.
Obviously, my tablet is connected to the computer via USB cable after running the run.bat as administrator.But what is the problem why it is happening to me. (Additional information: I already installed and followed this instruction on this same device with no error at all. But why does it happened to me even I installed this with success before. I don't change any system file on my tablet before, and I don't know because,I didn't change any file or modify file neither on my tablet nor from my PC.)
I have a backup file made with Titanium Backup for GMD GestureControls, but for some reason I'm unable to restore it to the phone! It just hangs with the box saying "restoring" and at 0%. If I try to install it from the APK it just says "App is not installed".
Really frustrating because I've been able to install/restore things flawlessly before and now, what gives with this junk? I've used ADB to push the apk to /system/app but that didn't work either!
I got the tronsmart vega s89 and I can't install purchased apps on it I get error (couldn't install on USB storage or SD card) funny thing is no first time I tried install I didn't have sd card in. I have looked for the temp file smt2 or whatever it is, its not here. This device is on kitkat and I think has a bad path to install location. Can I Change the install location? This error only happens with purchased apps NOT free ones.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI set up Virtuous 2.6 (was running CMod 6.0.2 but it was restarting, even with the default kernel) this morning and have had this problem with Seesmic and Google Voice in Market where it downloads and then the progress bar goes away and the only button is Cancel download. But I can go into Astro /mnt/sdcard/download and there's Download.apk that is the file downloaded from Market. I was able to install both Seesmic and GV that way but neither are registered in Market, and running Market Doctor in Titanium Backup does not do the trick either.Any ideas on what the issue might be? I'd prefer to stay on Virtuous but not if this keeps happening.

View 28 Replies View RelatedI can't install the Sync software to my pc. I keep getting this error "The Generic Device Manager Executable has encountered an error and install cannot continue.
I have tried to un-install and reinstall several times and even downloaded from HTC support and same thing happens, so I am assuming it has something to do with my pc.
The pc has reconized the phone and actually the HTC window pops up but I can't click on the Syncronize Now or on the HTC Sync, and on the right side bottom of that window it shows phone as disconnected.
I am running Window XP and don't know if this matters, but I am also running IE 8.
Okay so i just flashed the ROM for 2.2 and as i was restoring my apps it fails to install Maps and Goggles. I do have the maps app on my system however, but in the market it says its not installed. As of now im fine with it not being installed but when there is an update there might be a problem. Any ideas?

I have installed CWM recovery and it works. But after I have done something and installed Go Launcher, my CWM recovery seem not working already. I search and found out I have install another recovery TWRP using GOOManager. But when I use GOOManager and click install openrecoveryscript, it say 'no recoveries were found for your device'.
When I run "adb devices" command, I don't see my devices coming out also.
I have rooted my karbonn a4+ but I am unable to install any custom rom as I am not able to find The cwm recovery.

It brings up a progress bar and about halfway through it gives me an error. Im assuming I accidentily deleted this BuddiesNow file after I rooted the phone. I tried hard reset and factory reset but neither of these fixed it. Is there a way to download or install this BuddiesNow.odex? I didn't back up the file.

After reading in this forum and the Italian HD forum I successfully flashed the firmware(to H8 cause you people said the II5 is buggy) and rooted my phone. I want to install the USB drivers but I have a problem: I've already seen the guide that kam made but when i try to install the ADP driver I get this message(after it recognizes its a ADP driver but not recognize galaxy): I think this pictures will explain better than words. What happened when i install the driver: This is how my device manager looks AFTER i installed(unsuccessfully) the driver: this is how the driver looks: I use windows XP if somebody is confused. You can see in the "details" that my phone is VID_04E8&PID_6640&MI_04 So that is not the problem. UPDATE: I managed to solve my problem with this file.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem downloading Easy Root..I bought it once, refunded it because I didn't have anough money in my account, then bought it again the same day...andnow it finally went through this morning and it says purchased because I got paid this morning...but when I try to click install it says "Download unsuccessful"...I've tried everything to get it to install but it won't work and I can't refund it again. If I could refund it again I would be able to successfully install it like I did with Rom manager and setCPU.
