Saw this post on engadget about the new gmail app from google. Gmail for Android updated, becomes Market app - Engadget. seems nice but it shows up in market and downloads ok just will not install. it says it was unsuccessful. just in case it is relevant i have tazz 7 on my eris. it says only for 2.2 so is that why maybe? even though technically i am running froyo.

When i download app from market it says they downloaded but installation unsuccessfull it reads "insufficient storage available".My SD card has free space of 6.5 gig.can someone steer me in the right direction?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone has been trying to send an email from gmail for 2 days. it keeps saying unable to send and I don't know how to stop it. If I click on it, it takes me to the edit email account screen. When I go through the steps it says authentication failed even though my gmail account is fine. I don't know how to fix this. Also when I go to all programs I have 2 internet, 2 maps, and 2 navigator icons that weren't there before and won't delete.

I followed the directions and when I try to change inputs an error message pops up stating the screen resolution doesn't match. Anyone get this email and the error? I tried e-mailing the video to myself, but when I try to download it from Gmail, it says "unable to fetch attachment" How can I send video to someone else? Is there a way to change the extension?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone couldn't update from 2.1 to 2.2 because i used the unrevoked method of rooting. in order for me to get 2.2 i updated my phone with the pc36img.zip file and then rooted again with unrevoked.Now when I'm trying update from 2.2 with the new 3.29.651.5 update, the phone will have the triangle with a exclamation point.Any ideas?

However the phone now says it is unable to establish a working data connection. This is definitely not the case. It comes up with this before checking the account credentials so it is not a password issue.

I am using htc android phone in that i am trying to install my application.
I developed application using eclipse ADT plugin and taken apk file and copied in my phone SD card -> Android folder.
After that i installed Astro file manager in my phone and trying to browse my apk file but still i unable to find Android folder and my apk file in the Astro file manager.
Unable to install MODULE, I have a problem regarding my A13 android tablet device. It doesn't matter if I will post the brand name of my tablet or whatever because what I only wanted to fix is this. When I follow every instruction written at this link, and following instructions 1-7, after reaching step 5 execute run.bat. It displays the following image I screen captured. (And my tablet doesn't reboot, it's the sign that the computer can't access my tablet.
Obviously, my tablet is connected to the computer via USB cable after running the run.bat as administrator.But what is the problem why it is happening to me. (Additional information: I already installed and followed this instruction on this same device with no error at all. But why does it happened to me even I installed this with success before. I don't change any system file on my tablet before, and I don't know because,I didn't change any file or modify file neither on my tablet nor from my PC.)
I have a backup file made with Titanium Backup for GMD GestureControls, but for some reason I'm unable to restore it to the phone! It just hangs with the box saying "restoring" and at 0%. If I try to install it from the APK it just says "App is not installed".
Really frustrating because I've been able to install/restore things flawlessly before and now, what gives with this junk? I've used ADB to push the apk to /system/app but that didn't work either!
I got the tronsmart vega s89 and I can't install purchased apps on it I get error (couldn't install on USB storage or SD card) funny thing is no first time I tried install I didn't have sd card in. I have looked for the temp file smt2 or whatever it is, its not here. This device is on kitkat and I think has a bad path to install location. Can I Change the install location? This error only happens with purchased apps NOT free ones.

Run a few tests and basically, my gmail app shows unread emails in the counter, but hasn't updated the actual email list for at least a day Thinking about it, it may not have worked since I updated the firmware on Sunday.Any ideas anyone? Be a bit of a pisser if my first official upgrade broke it... Wouldn't exactly surprise though
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am realizing sometimes when I get new gmail, I don't get the notification even though notifications are set to ON and auto-sync ON. I check my gmail app and the new mail is there but it says Inbox(0), NOT Inbox(1) like it should be even though the new message is bolded in font like it should. Then when I delete the message it says Inbox(-1) This might be the reason I don't get a notification sometimes. Has anyone else encountered this?

I can see the folders that I've created a long time ago but nothing is in them. I read a couple of threads saying that I should enable labels but I'm not sure how to do that on the Incredible. Each time I try to to sign in via add account it says "cant establish a reliable connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your android device may not be provisioned for data services" meanwhile I have data service and my network is pretty fast.

I set up Virtuous 2.6 (was running CMod 6.0.2 but it was restarting, even with the default kernel) this morning and have had this problem with Seesmic and Google Voice in Market where it downloads and then the progress bar goes away and the only button is Cancel download. But I can go into Astro /mnt/sdcard/download and there's Download.apk that is the file downloaded from Market. I was able to install both Seesmic and GV that way but neither are registered in Market, and running Market Doctor in Titanium Backup does not do the trick either.Any ideas on what the issue might be? I'd prefer to stay on Virtuous but not if this keeps happening.

View 28 Replies View RelatedI can't install the Sync software to my pc. I keep getting this error "The Generic Device Manager Executable has encountered an error and install cannot continue.
I have tried to un-install and reinstall several times and even downloaded from HTC support and same thing happens, so I am assuming it has something to do with my pc.
The pc has reconized the phone and actually the HTC window pops up but I can't click on the Syncronize Now or on the HTC Sync, and on the right side bottom of that window it shows phone as disconnected.
I am running Window XP and don't know if this matters, but I am also running IE 8.
Okay so i just flashed the ROM for 2.2 and as i was restoring my apps it fails to install Maps and Goggles. I do have the maps app on my system however, but in the market it says its not installed. As of now im fine with it not being installed but when there is an update there might be a problem. Any ideas?
