When entering a work or home number into a person's contact, those same numbers appear as "send message" buttons.
How can I remove these message buttons for other than mobile numbers?

couldn't find how to do it.
Is it possible to remove a contacts phone number that they have listed on fb without unlinking facebook? I still want their updates and pictures but not their outdated numbers!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI set up a family group in "people". When I send an MMS pic to the group it ends up sending it to all their email addresses instead of their mobile numbers. Everything looks right in their contact info and it seems like it should be defaulting to their mobile number when you add them within the "messaging" app.
It works fine when I add everyone manually since it asks me if I want to send to their mobile number or their email. I just want it to default to their mobile numbers if I am working within the messaging app. It's not a deal breaker but kinda annoying since we all send each other pics all the time and having a group set up to do it was actually really easy on my old Windows 6.1.
Is there an app that gets peoples mobile numbers from Facebook and creates them as a contact in your phone?
I would've thought there would be, but I can't find any that do that. I got an Eris recently and couldn't import my contacts from my old phone, so I was hoping I could do it this way.
First time I bought HTC Tattoo yesterday . Felt very good after using the mobile.
I have one problem, I am not able to load the Contacts from my Existing SIM Card. It doesnt even appears in search.
I don't understand. In symbian it was possible to add more than one "mobile" number, and even with a custom label. In android i can't do that. I have friends that use 2 or 3 mobiles, for work, personal use etc, that besides the work number from the location.
Is there a workaround or a program i can use? I don't want my contacts staying on the gmail servers.
I guess the question is, how can i modify the labels? there's got to be a way...
If i use the "linked" option, when i view the contact details it just shows me 3 different numbers, it doesn't show me the linked contact's name so i can't now wich number i want to call: work, personal etc.
Custom labels would have been genius. I could add to Andy for example:
1. mobile xxx
2. mobile work xxx
3. boss xxx
And when he would call me from one of this numbers, it would have been nice to look like this:
Andy mobile xxx or Andy mobile work xxx.
Is there away to remove numbers from the speed dial I have voicemail and *2 on there but I didn't put them there I just want to take these numbers off.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMe and my trusty G1 have recently moved out of the US. Im running CM's latest, and just like the stock ROM, phone numbers stored in the phone have the xxx-xxx-xxxx US format. This format does not apply to most countries outside of the US. So here when someone calls (or when im trying to add a new contact) phone numbers tend to look weird since phone numbers here have an XX-XXX-XXX format (8 digits total), and so they end up showing as XXX-XXX-XX, which is just confusing.
So in short, is there any way to stop the dashes from showing up in the call log/ caller id/adding new contact form??
Is there a way to set my "messages" app to send only to mobile numbers? I need to be able to send a mass text to a couple of contact groups, but it keeps sending many of them to people's emails rather than cell phones and many times they don't receive it.

I took it off earlier today because it wasn't what I wanted. Now after 3 messages I have a grey box on my screen that says "Message received by (person's number)" and it doesn't go away unless I turn my phone off and back on again. Then after a few texts, it pops up again and won't go away.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy app's underlying view has bitmaps, lines, etc drawn on a canvas. I want to display images (icons) on top of this which will respond to Touch events. The number and positioning of such images will be variable depending on data in an SQLite database.
Am I correct in thinking that the way to achieve this is to have a ViewGroup to which I add first the basic view then for each icon an ImageButton object with an OnTouch listener and positioning defined by setting the margins in a RelativeLayout.LayoutParams object?
My code for each button reads as follows: This seems to work when the screen is initially drawn, and when the screen is subsequently redrawn (with new data) new buttons are added; however, the previous buttons are not removed.
I've tried calling Global.ThisApp.MyLayout.removeView with each in turn button as a parameter but Eclipse objects that a MyButton object cannot be a parameter for removeView.

I'm trying to remove some softkeys from a ROM for the Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Note has a hw home button and capacitive back and menu buttons. The thing is, I like tablet ROMs because they use the screen better, but all of them come with Home, Menu and Recent Apps soft buttons added. On TW modded roms you can also find a multiwindow button to launch apps in multiwindow mod (looks like a "^"). So I just want to keep this button (maybe Recent apps too, I'll decide it later). I know how to decompile apks and edit xml's. What I want to know is which apks I need to edit and which xmls in said apps I need to edit/remove entries. I already tried to edit SystemUI.apk and tw_systembar.xml (deleted the entries for Home and Back), but UI crashed on startup and never come up again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedGMail is almost unusable when composing a message - the Send and discard and Save buttons take up more room than you get space to type, resulting in just 3 or so lines of visible text. To make it worse, the typing font is massive.
Does anyone know how to...
1) Remove the stupid Send/Discard/Save buttons above the keyboard. Clicking the menu soft-key brings up those options anyway, meaning they literally are nothing but a waste of typing space
2) Change the font size, so we can see more text as we type. When reading a message, the font is much smaller and still very readable...
3) Change the keyboard to something shorter, gaining more room to see messages we composes

I currently have implemented an overlayitem that shows an icon for geopoint on a map application in Android. When the icon is clicked, it brings up an AlertDialog from the onTap method below.Does anyone know how to display a map message bubble directly above the icon overlayitem with 2 callout buttons one to the left of the title and one to the right of the bubble? Does anyone know how to make the overlayitem draggable so I can press and hold it and drag it across the map. I am trying to duplicate the draggable icon behavior that's available on the iPhone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had a weird thing happen today someone was trying to call me i didnt get the phone in time.then i got a notification that contained my GV # saying I had a message. the person who called doesnt have my GV #. now when i go to GV on the computer or the inc it says i have no messages yet the notification wont go away at the top the INC saying that my GV# has a message.I use my VZW # for my VM through GV I never use the GV # at all.not sure how to remove the message icon.
