What is the name of the App that kills the Sprint crap from launching when you boot up your phone. Tired of the Sprint Nascar and Football Apps launching.

I was rooted and and had lagfix on my fascinate. Then I decided to download the new update from verizon today. After the update the update screen kept on popping up even after I already installed it. Then I found out that my apps that require root like autokiller and setcpu did not work anymore even though I still hade the superuser app. So I rooted my phone again restarted it and the apps worked again then I decided I wanted to do the clockworkmod installation thing so I could make my phone flashable, the instructions recommended that i remove lag fix so I took my phone plugged it into the pc and went to my ryan lagfix folder whatever on my desktop and clicked on the unlagfixme.bat thing and at the end it had some errors or something even mentioning the Innopath Activecare in it which was for some reason probably why it didnt work. So I decided to try it again and it didnt work. Then I rebooted the phone and I saw the samsung logo and then black screen!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just received my D2-G this evening. I upgraded from my HTC Droid Eris and man is it an upgrade! I used appbrain to move all of my apps and stuff and the D2-G is fast as heck compared to the Eris. My only problem is that I am getting overwhelmed by all of the CRAP that comes on the phone. I know it has more to offer than my previous but GEEZE is moto and vzw trying to kill me with all of this stuff on the phone? So, I have checked out the posts over the past couple of days on the D2 and I am guessing that there isn't much difference between the D2 and the D2-G aside from the obvious. Now I am just wanting to simplify the phone and get it down to the goods and avoid the bads. I was hoping out the gate to be able to watch netflix on the phone but that doesn't seem to be the case at all (I travel a lot and I also sit and wait a lot). So, maybe someone can point me in the right direction to explain all that this new beast can do and what I need not worry about (as a simple guy who isn't trying to OC the phone and take over the world).

The sync itself seems to work ok, it just kills my internet connection on my PC every time. This has never happened on the half-dozen or so smartphones I had before the Evo.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI installed Aloysius 2.0.8 rom last night and now all my phone will do is show red, blue , green and yellow colors the boot animation going back and fourth all night it will not let me do anything it seem like it is suck. Is there anything I can do to puy my old system back on the phone? I tried the hold the power button and volume down key but it just does the same thing over and over and I can't do anything with the phone. Is my phone just a brick now or is there a way to make this thing work.

On a startup the task killer indicates that amazon MP#3 store, footprints (what the hell is that?!) astro file manager and many others are open right from the start.anyone know what's causing this, and how I can stop it? Eg. have an app with 3 menu options, 1 and 2 do certain tasks as part of this parent app, menu option 3 however launches another app thats installed on the phone. I'm unsure if this is possible?

The emulator launches and the screen appears with the lock and my app doesn't start. Tried to unlock and go to launcher to look for my app and it's not there. Anyone can help me on this one?.......

View 2 Replies View RelatedI dont knwo what the hell happened but my phone suddenly started reseting its self while on luancher pro and everything changed on it and it kept saying stopped working unexpectedly. I decided to delete the launcher from the phone and intended to download it again but now the phone keeps saying "The application HTC Sense (process com.htclauncher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." then a big button saying force close to push. I keep pushing and it keeps coming back up and I cant do a single thing about it?

Then they got creative with the ticker display on the Continuum and other phones. All the phones had the nice, shiny but plasticy look but I'm okay with it. But it seems like now that Samsung is making just blah phones and slapping the word Galaxy S on it and calling it a day. The Galaxy SII is pretty nice but some phones like the Samsung Illusion don't even have a flash camera anymore. I really hope Samsung and Verizon puts their thinking caps back on and really start hurling more phones like the Galaxy Nexus out onto the sales floor.

I mostly charge it by plugging it into my laptop via the usb cable and very few times via wall socket. I was wondering does slow charging via "usb on laptop" damages/degrades battery life? I am getting real sick of UNREMOVEABLE crap ware or features, some just showing up on my phone. One day it's Kindle, now it's Places. I keep waking up to new junk or built in ahem...features that I don't want and can't remove. Let see - this is what I can't remove so far: Amazon MP3 - Don't play music on phone, don't need it Yeah I know I can root but I don't want to be an Android guru. I just want to use the phone to make calls and use the Apps that I want vs what Google or Verizon thinks is the greatest thing since milk. Jeez - people complain about Jobs having to much control with Apple, this isn't that much different. I feel better but I hope Google and Verizon can YOU HEAR ME NOW. Let us remove this useless junk.

Its like the colors are all faded looking. I have shot some nice looking pictures with my phone before but for some reason here lately they look horrible! Anybody else notice this with their phone when your uploading to a website? I do have photoshop mobile so maybe I should try and edit them first before I upload a picture next time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedActivity SplashScreen is the launching activity for my app. It sends a request to my server and gets back a user data it then uses to populate a user object which is a static object. Once it has that it calls the MyMapView activity and finishes itself. A force close occurs when I hit the home button and then open up enough other apps so that Android kills MyMapView to get more resources. Now when I open my app again it tries to start MyMapView and bypasses SplashScreen. There is no user object so I get null pointer exceptions. I have tried to Override the onSaveInstanceState and OnRestoreInstanceState but it seems that those are not available when Android kills the activity. I also tried android:finishOnTaskLaunch with the SplashScreen (maybe this should be put on MyMapView but the article I read said different) and that seems to have no effect. What I would like is for the activity to not restart after Android has killed it. What can I do about this?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that my wifi signal strength is crap. I can be in the same room about 4 ft away from my router and my signal strength is 2 bars on my wifi. Also on my 3g coverage I am at 1-2 bars max. When I 1st got my phone never had this problem. Any ideas?

1. In call volume is unacceptable
2. Wifi is useless
3. Most of the apps are largely crap
I've had the X10 for a few months and overall i'm disappointed. As far as I'm concerned apple have the content/apps on lockdown and all the droid apps i have seem vastly inferior.Will the 2.1 update improve my experience or should i cut my losses and pay for an upgrade to the iphone or comparable droid handset?
I've uncovered what could be a serious problem with the Desire. It's only affected me in one way so far, but who knows what other problems there are that I haven't found. I've noticed on several occasions that when listening to music via Bluetooth, my headphones disconnect for no apparent reason. However I've found a pattern now: if WiFi is turned on and I come within range of a /remembered/ hotspot, the WiFi connects and BOOM, disconnected from audio. I can reconnect straight away. There is another poster here (sorry, can't remember your name or the thread you posted in) describing another problem with WiFi and Bluetooth working - or conflicting! - together so I don't think I'm the only person suffering. Who else can reproduce it and how could I submit a bug report to HTC?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this started after the update, but every time I use WIFI and Bluetooth, my WIFI connection dies less than a minute after using it. For example, I'll connect my Bluetooth headphones and then start up a streaming music service. In less than a minute, the music stops and my wifi connection is dead (even though it says it is still connected). Can't browse the web, do speed test, etc. Have to disconnect WIFI and reconnect. But it will do it again as soon as I start using the connection.If I turn off Bluetooth, my WIFI works just fine. If I use Bluetooth over 3G, it works fine. It's only when I use both WIFI and Bluetooth and when I start using the Internet.I'm thinking it's either a bug or an interference issue between the WIFI and Bluetooth radios? Sometimes the music will cut out a bit before the WIFI connection totally dies. But if I switch over to 3G, it works fine. I tried several apps too, not just the same music streaming service, so I know it's not the app. Here's the weird part: if I use my Bluetooth headphones while connected to WIFI, but only listen to music that's on my device, it doesn't do it. It's only when I start using the WIFI heavily that it does it.Anyone else experience this? As it stands, I cannot use WIFI and Bluetooth at the same time.
