Is there a fully functional froyo ROM. Im running fresh's rom, but wifi tether isnt working, and i was hoping to see the froyo lockscreen (slide right to unlock, left to silence) i had with my unofficial froyo rom. are there any other 2.2 roms i can download, like cm 6? where can i get a link for that?

It's running smooth and I've not had any problems My question is, what is the difference between my existing version and the 'offical' Froyo 2.2 that will be released soon? Would I be able to update my firmware to the newer version since I'm already on 2.2 (I9000XXJPM, FROYO.XWJP6)?

View 5 Replies View RelatedHow to either replace the in call screen or put something on top of it....the only solution I have found thus far is to make my own ROM, which doesn't make sense for such a small portion of an OS. however I found these two apps (Full Screen Caller Pictures and Full Screen Caller ID) that are able to put a contact image and button on top of the standard in call screen.

From reading the comments, it appears it only works with HTC phones because of the flash lite already on them. I installed it, and tested a few sites and it seems to work great. I didn't to a test before I installed it to see what sites didnt work. ANyway, here's the link if anyone wants to experiment. View 17 Replies View Relatedi feel like my battery is not REALLY charging all the way, which may be for my lack of life in the phone as well. it only takes about 2.5 hours to FULLY charge from about 3-4% all the way to %100 with a green light. i have the phone ON while charging too so i just expect it to take alot longer... what is the average FULL charge time here?
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes the newest version of the Unrevoked 3 enable a full root? I am able to do such things as install the Wifi tether app, which requires root, but I'm unsure if I can flash a new ROM with the Unrevoked root, or if I need to use another root method such as "Toast's".
I know this question has been asked/answered before, but I could not find any information regarding the newest version of the Unrevoked root.
I stumbled upon this today. I never heard of a clear full body cover skin for cell phones. I'm interested in getting it for my EVO. Anyone already have it? how does it work on the edges? And, was it easy/difficult to install? I've been searching the web for a how-to video but haven't found one.

I run it on a htc desire, but when I check the size of the view (or the canvas I obtain), it says 340x533, so some kind of scaling seems to be done. Also, I load a bitmap, which seems to be scaled. Do I have to do anything special to run my app in full resolution?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI used Unrevoked to get root, could not install any ROMs at all till Ava 2.2 was released then was able to install it. Now, my root prompt in ADB shell has changed from $ to # which supposedly means I have full root. However, there are still files I cannot delete, rename or remove and can still not install other ROMs. Can I get full root? Will I have to revert all the way back to original release to get it? What on earth have I done? Is there hope for people in the Sahara desert? Can I fix it at all or am I stuck with this funky root?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI usually charge my phone overnight, so plug it in and let it charge until i get up on a morning.However I'm noticing when I unplug it, the battery drops almost instantly to between 96 and 91%. I'm thinking this is a case of overcharging? Its just happened to me now, so I've turned the phone off, let it charge and as soon as the orange light turns green I'll unplug it and turn it on and see what happens.Anyone else any experience of this? I want to charge overnight, but if its going to give me a worse battery life by doing so.

So my contact list now seems full, if I add a contact, it will be recognize by the caller ID, but it will not appear in my contact list. I tried restarting the phone. I figure this must be because the SIM card is full, is there a way to save your contacts on your phone? If anyone has any idea how to get the french autocorrect with the qwerty keyboard, that would be amazing as well. Rogers said they'd "look into it".
I am new to the android, migrating over from blackberry. The first thing I have noticed is a considerable difference in battery. On my bb from tmobile, I was getting a day or 2 of battery life with a lot of use. Hundreds of text a day, emails (2 accounts), talk, and web browsing. I got my mytouch 3g slide yesterday it charged for about 6 hours. I took it off the charger around 9-930 at night. I played with for a while, went to bed and got up and it was at less then 30%. Now when i went to bed, i was only missing a little bit of battery. I didn't think it would drain that much overnight with no use. That is going to be a serious problem because of the amount i use my phone. I am currently charging again. Does it take a couple of charges before the battery life will reach it's peak? Also with my bb, i was getting 1 bar of signal and constantly switching from 3g, to edge, to gprs. With MT3g, i am getting 1-2 bars. Does poor signal drain the battery faster?
