With Froyo how do you save apps on SD and how can you move them to SD when the "Move to SD card" button under application info is not highlighted ? When you go to market where is the option to download on SD?

I restored my apps but any new apps I download are saved on phone memory not SD. I have downloaded root explorer, but I don't know how to move apps or set default to save to card. Anyone know? I also have an app appearing twice in the menu when i install it. Removing and reinstalling causes the same. Also, how do i delete footprints and Google talk?

I've decided I want to move it back so that it's available when I press the Launcher. I know where it's stored on the sdcard and I have root explorer, but I'm just not sure which folder to move it back to in the first place. which folder houses all the apps that are currently available via the Launcher?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Moto G 8GB which is running very low on storage (only about 800mb left). This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.

I created a speed dial folder in Open home....but it has been lagging and force closing a lot. I would love to be able to move this folder to the basic home or to Home ++. Can you save this? or do I have to recreate if I switch home apps?

Also I tried swapping memories (internal to external and vice versa) , it worked but installing apps from external sources will not work, or apps in /storage/emulated/0/... I was able to store my game apps and other apps onto the SD card so I didnt use up all my space. Since the update, I can't store any games onto the app. The games do have the toggle button that says Move to SD Card, when I do it comes up with a Unable to move app.
