My Evo battery was low, plugged in my charger and the notification led was flashing amber and red. powered off, still flashing, popped battery, and noticed to bottom half of the phone was really warm, put the battery back in, turned on the phone and plugged the charger back in and now its fine. checked my manual and didnt see anyhing like this.

A lot of the times I can feel my EVO get real hot in my pocket, enough so I take it out because my thigh gets almost sweaty. My battery life also sucks big time. I'm wondering if these two issues are related. Does anyone else have a problem with their phone battery getting warm?
View 18 Replies View RelatedThe thing they talked about the most was how GREAT the battery life is, well let me tell you. they are all a bunch of liars. Ive never had a phone with battery life as terrible as this thing. i've talked to a rep that told me "just gotta let it drain and then charge. do that a couple times and it should be fine" ok i figured that was all nonsense because she wanted me off the phone so i did that. Now did that work? no of course not. i take it off the charger and after 6 minutes and 23 seconds of use it drops down 10%, the back is pretty warm at all times. i've turned off the GPS, WIFI, and whatever else their is to turn off. Its insanely pathetic. Is anyone else having this problem, it seems like no matter what when you get a verizon phone its guaranteed to break or have a problem. I get through about 5 hours of very moderate use.

But I haven't got to have a full days use yet and is there a way to get rid of the apps that come on the phone? Like shazam imeem mobile and junk? View 4 Replies View RelatedI had been using IMEasy for its multiple-account capability, I found my phone running warm when multiple accounts were connected though, and the battery drained fast; down to 70% in 3 hours in a poor signal area. I thought it was the poor signal. Installed Trillian yesterday, it's connected to 3 IM accounts and after 5 hours I'm only down to 90%, in the same area. I've been a happy Trillian user on the PC, I already had an Astra account from that so setup was SIMPLE. I HIGHLY suggest this app, though it's still in Beta and it IS missing a couple options I would like they're not critical issues to me, and I'm sure they'll fix them.

I know this sounds like an ad but I'm just a happy customer.
The 2 missing items (maybe one really) are the ability to set the notification tone in the app and the ability to change the notification LED color in the app.
Is there an option to disable the LED flashing when you have a low battery? I know I have a low battery, I don't need to be continually reminded. I keep thinking I have a new message or something. (I know they flash green but still...)

Is there anything I can do? Apart from going back to the previous (very slow in comparison) ROM.I have taskpanel installed to auto kill pretty much everything apart from the UI and messages.

I read that people have had some luck by deleting the phone's battery info by flashing a ROM but I don't really know much about that and don't want to harm my phone.
View 10 Replies View Relatedi recently flashed custom roms in my arc s and returned to stock because of the features, when i installed ics 4.0.4 the battery meter is stuck in 100% and the mobile would switch of all of a sudden saying battery is emply i tried deleting battery stats, formatted everything except sd card still no use it is still stuck.. i flashed gingerbread and the battery meter worked fine i was showing the correct percentage, once after i flashed gingerbread charged the battery to 60% and flashed gingerbread it was showing the right percentage... i know the sensor is fine coz its working in gb.. i tried battery calibration and different battery status apps all show 100%. ics once the batterys drained it doesnt charge properly..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have lately flashed CM10.1 nightly on my GT-I9300 and am experiencing high battery drain (twice-three times what I had before), and get over 1%/h over the night when all is turned off.I have read a lot about fast battery drain reasons, but couldn't find an answer to mine.I've downloaded better battery stats to check for any abnormal activity, but it seems normal to me (dump attached).
Note, I've installed the cm10.1 straight from my internal memory and I do not have an external SD card.Also, from the dump file it seems that the phone was mostly in deep sleep mode and I see no reason then why it wouldn't just drain at 1-2% per 8h.
I am kind of shocked that no one mentioned it before but my EVO seems to be running warm sometimes and gets almost hot.Has anyone else experienced this with extended use or at any time?
View 15 Replies View RelatedJust sitting here browsing and can feel this heat commin from the left side. It's comming from the base of the charger. The cable is also warm about a 1/4 way up. I'm sure charging and using it comsumes a bit of power.The battery is probably only 25% charged and I'm quite certain in stops charging once full. Maybe its normal but seems excessive to me.

Since it gave me the option of using Kings #11 CFS, I gave it a shot but it caused screen tearing all over the place. I re-flashed with just the Rom itself and its been working great, but the kernel is still the stock HTC #11.Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't TpT supposed to come with a custom kernel from Adrynalyne(from what I gathered by reading on other forum posts)?
View 6 Replies View RelatedIn my short rooting history, I have settled on using Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo ROM. I love nearly everything about the ROM with one exception. You may have noticed that when you zoom in on text (this forum, for instance), the words do not wrap the way they do on the stock ROM. This means unnecessary horizontal scrolling. The typical fix is to flash the stock fonts, but those are boring. The look of Myn's is part of the appeal, right? Good news.You can flash any of the font packs located in this thread to restore the proper word wrap function.From what I have found, the Liberations Sans font is close to what comes with Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo.Hopefully someone finds this as beneficial as I have. If this is common knowledge, I apologize and will remove the thread.
View 12 Replies View RelatedScrolling down a page is worthless. So choppy and unresponsive it's not even funny. Like a simple twitter feed, even after it's already been loaded before. Takes about half a second to realize I'm trying scroll, then it will start flying down the page when I'm slowly moving. Worthless in my opinion.I'm going to give it another day and see if it fixes itself, then I'm going to flash a new kernel.So my question is: What are the best kernels in your experiences for Myn's Warm 2.2? Also, try to provide links to the kernel page where we can download.
View 49 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that my phone gets warm whenever I am on a phone call this applies whether it up to my ear or using the bluetooth. It is not super hot (maybe 39C) but it does make it a little uncomfortable to hold against my ear, face or just hand. Am I the only one? Any idea about the cause?ETA it does not get nearly this warm when I am using the data, surfing the web, etc.

I could be overly sensitive because from way back when the white 3gs was showing burn marks on the back.It doesn't feel so hot that it's burning my skin but I can't imagine it's good for the phone to get warm like this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday I rooted and installed the new Bugles Beast. While using the wifi tether app today, I noticed my processor getting fairly warm. Concerned, I downloaded TempMonitor. Without any overclocking at all, my processor was consistently running at around 44*C/111*F. The battery temperature hovers around 27-38*C.
Why does my phone run so hot? Should I be worried? Some people have said the processor in the droid can handle temps approaching 100*C (!!!), is this correct?
I've noticed my incredible gets rather warm in 2 situations:
1. When it is charging
2. When I browse the web and/or play a game for more than 5 minutes.
Does anyone else experience this? Is it something I should be concerned about, or is it the same with all of the incredible's?

This is the thread that is for what i need i was just wondering if something goes wrong if i get stuck in the bootloader how would i make my h-boot back to what it is now instead of the 76 or whatever i need for cm6 to work? and will i need to flash back to a different version of h-boot to flash back to fresh or other roms?
Many of us have experienced some battery life fall out since the last update. I mentioned this in the battery life thread but I thought it deserved it own topic. I have an app that I downloaded called battery status. it has a battery history. and it says time without sleeping 7h 10m 25s ago. Thats exactally when I unplugged my phone. This explains why I am seeing 2-3% per hour loss while not using the phone and while in airplane mode. Before the update I could keep the phone in airplane mode, not usre it, and leave work with over 94% battery life. So this proves that somehow the phone is not going into sleep mode... I can guarantee that everyone else in that is experiencing battery drain since the sept 16th update is due to this reason. The question is... why the hell is this happening and why won't the phone go into sleep mode?

I've noticed that the standard icon does a really poor job tracking the actual battery percentage. For example, the percentage will show 35%, but the icon will still appear two-thirds green.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a sprint GNex. I just started having this problem recently (but before the 4.3 update). I plug my phone in overnight and at some point in the middle of the night an error occurs that make the phone think it is off the charger and has a fully depleted battery. The battery level icon shows no charge and if I pull the phone off the charger it immediately says it has to shut down due to a low battery. However, as soon as I turn it back on it is back to normal with a full charge.
