I have a galaxy S3 and my battery has been draining very quickly as of late. Not sure if it's due to the battery or the phone reading the battery wrong. I read that people have had some luck by deleting the phone's battery info by flashing a ROM but I don't really know much about that and don't want to harm my phone.

I'm having this issue with my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1). During night when I sleep sometimes it drains about 30% of my battery. Now, I noticed that in the up and download icon the upload icon is almost ALWAYS on. Meaning that it is uploading something that I did not gave any permissions for, which is rather annoying. The wifi isn't working good as well, as in not receiving messages or able to view websites, it used to work fine tho.. These kinda things are the reason why I hate Android an regret buying 2 tablets and a phone of it. Anyways before y'all mention, this is what I've done so far:
-I'm NOT running any apps on the background.
-There's no facebook or any social media apps. Just Whatsapp. (those are the only allowed for background purposes).
-I've reset the router.
-I've rebooted the Android device.
The device is NOT rooted or anything and is barely 6 months old. Additionally, I DON'T have this uploading or wifi problem with my iPad, iPhone or BlackBerry's. My other Android tablet has wifi issues as well. Also Android seems so slow and buggy..? Compared to my iPad, or Ancient BlackBerry for that matter.
I am trying to flash a custom ROM to my HTC Desire HD.
First I managed to unlock the bootloader using the Easy Ace Root Tool and installed ClockworkMod.
Then I tried flashing a Jelly Beans mod (JellyTime 4.2 R11) and it got stuck at the HTC logo screen. I tried wiping / formatting via ClockworkMod but with no success.
Afterwards I used a second phone to put the Download Android Revolution HD 7.3 ROM on the SD card and flash it. This one went fine through the installation wizard but when I was back to ClockworkMod recovery mode I got: "Can't open /cache/recovery/log" "Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log". Then I selected reboot and it was hanging on the HTC logo again... I was waiting for a minute before I took the battery out... After this I tried "format /cache" from the CWM but didn't work either.
Then I tried using a RUU utility in fastbood mode to flash an official HTC ROM:
RUU_Ace_Sense30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1_Radio_12.65.6 0.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed.
It reached a particular point saying that the update failed.
I thought I cannot install the official ROM because I have unlocked the bootloader, so I locked it again using the htc fastboot utility. This didn't work either and the RUU failed again.

I have just a couple of shots before this turns into a beautiful piece of aluminium brick.
I just flashed a custom ROM for my first time to my Samsung S4(SPH-L720). Unfortunately I have everything working except my PC will not see my phone anymore. The phone says connected as a MTP device but I cannot see it in my computer to transfer files back and forth.
ROM- Google play edition for sph-l720
*Reinstalled drivers and kies to no avail.
Due to the recent problems with no Sync feature in Kies3, I've had to temporarily resort to using other Apps to sync my S Planner calendar with Microsoft Outlook. Today Samsung have returned Sync to Kies3, which is great, however...
During my use of one particularly rubbish app (that shall remain unnamed), I now have duplicate entries in S Planner for every single event. Is it possible to completely clear the S Planner calendar so that I can re-sync fresh from my PC using Kies3? I've tried deleting the calendar but it won't let me delete My Calendar.

I tried to wipe cache partition , to wipe dalvik cache, to flash the same rom, to flash another rom, to delete all data... but nothin happens.. it seems like the recovery (CWM) can't delete anything! if i delete or format anything , nothing happens! but the recovery told me that the process has succedeed.. I tried using Wugfresh toolkit to flash stock and also Odin.. but nothin happens.. I tried some casual commands on ADB, but i'm no good with ADB.

"Android System" is using 91% battery. I've disabled location services, backup and so forth, but the problem persists. I've tried flashing various ROMs, including stock sense, stock GE and Android Revolution HD 21. The problem is there with all of them.

There is the option to clear memory but it sounds risky and I haven't found an answer to my question yet. What exactly happens when I tap clear memory? Will any apps be messed up? Checked that there is no newer update. Also, installed Kies 3.0 and it tells me my OS is not supported for updates via Kies either.

I recently bought a Note 3 from someone and when I pull out the S pen, it shows me Action Memo, Scrap Book, Screen Write, Shortcut and S Calender. My Screen write takes own screen shot when I press it and doesn't allow me to write and it's not like the other Note 3. Instead of Pen Window it shows S Calender . When I click on the Scrap book it opens my recent apps window. Why my one is different?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use a galaxy S3, 4.3 and there is a problem with the stock sms app regarding the numbers. When i receive a message that contains words and a phone number, it doesn't hyperlink the numbers. I have to memorize the number to save it, or to make an action.
The numbers are not clickable, although the websites are.
So about a month ago I tried to flash a rom onto my galaxy s4. I waited for about three hours and nothing happened so I did home+down+on and clicked no so it would boot back up. I want to reset my galaxy but when I go home+up+on it puts me into downloading mode and it won't let me reset my device and wipe my data. I tried using Odin on my computer but I kept getting error messages. I'd really like to unroot my device and have it to factory settings again.

Until a couple of weeks ago turning of network location seemed to fix the issue but now even with network location turned off Google Services are constantly shown as eating 40-50% battery in the general settings. View 4 Replies View Related' I'm having a few issues with my Galaxy S3, I was getting an error 923 when trying to download or update apps from Google Play, I searched and found a solution is to clear the cache from Google Play and reboot the phone.
When I go to the "app Info" in settings the data and cache sections both say "computing".
Then 1 or 2 things happen, 1: it will drop back to the home screen or 2: the phone will reboot.
I am unbale to update or download apps any longer on Google Play.
Other issue is I have a SIM Lock pin set, now when the phone reboots it is not showing the unlock sim screen and boots straight to the home screen and not connecting to my mobile providers network.
I have to go into settings remove the SIM Lock Pin and then the phone will connect to the network and then set the pin again.
I'm looking to find jelly bean 4.1.1.

I am considering purchasing an unlocked galaxy S4 SGH-I337 (AT&T) and i have Digicel network because I live in Haiti. Can i udate the software once i put my Digicel sim card in this S4 because the phone came with 4.2 installed but i have read it is elligible for an update to 4.3. Since it is technically an at&t phone but unlocked. I dont know much about this kind of thing. I tried to do it via Kies and it says that I cant update this version using Kies. I never received any update whenever I check it only says update interrupted and no software available. While android 4.3 was out on at&t and it's been weeks. What should I do? My phone is not even rooted.

Now since I have got it back the screen will freeze up on me and I have to lock the screen then go back in and I can use it again. Is there a way that I can fix this issue other than turning it in.
