I have the favorite widgets and I'm using my friends FaceBook as there profile picture. Only problem is, it wont update there pic, it's going on days now since they've change there pic and it wont update. I have unsync FB, resync and its update only that time, but it wont do it automatically.

Sync my pix apk sucks. removed some bloat ware using titbck up. I backed all apps b4 removing. But titbck up won't let me restore them. They have a strike through line on them. I need the social networking.apk and motoblur contacts sync apk. Can somebody up loaf or let me know how to restore them. I'm thinking about sbf'or will a factory data reset be ok?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want my contacts to have the facebook profile pictures. Most of them update, but i noticed some dont, which wouldve been bearable if a couple werent in my favourites (people) widget.
I've used SyncMyPics and it seemed to work fine, but all the pictures are now using the gmail picture which is blurry (fixed if i deleted the pic in gmail so itll used facebooks higher quality). but heres the problem, when i go to the contact to pic a new picture, the options are google and facebook, but the google is the updated picture, and facebook is still the old one. I want to use facebook too because its much better quality.
Does anybody know how to make my Droid update facebook profile pics in my contacts? They have never updated since my initial contacts setup?

I tried just putting in my own images into my gmail contacts to see if they would show up in the google voice app and they still dont show up. My ideal situation would be to use the facebook pictures, but if I need to I will go the second route of putting individual images into my gmail contacts and sync them that way, but I can't get either to work
Unfortunately, when you link the Facebook contacts to your device it will save their picture that you had when you first linked the contacts to your Gmail.You would have to delete them and re-add them if you want to change the pictures.

None of my friends contact picture has changed on my phone, even though a lot of them have changed their profile picture on facebook. Is there a way to refresh this somehow? FB is set to sync every few hours, and I've manually done it and no dice.

However, I don't know where to go from there? Am I supposed to use the session key that this library allows me to get and make some Facebook API calls? I haven't found any code examples to even see what the proper syntax is. Am I better off using another library? I tried fbrocket with limited luck(I get a "server error 104 - Incorrect signature").

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to tag friends while using the Facebook app for Android, whether it's in Check-Ins, statuses, comments, or any of that stuff.
When I try doing it by using the "+" icon, it says "Unable to load friends list" (something like that) and then when I try using the "@" symbol, nothing shows up. It used to work perfectly fine, even with this version of the app. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling... Wiping cache, and even different ROMs. Could this be a gingerbread bug? I noticed all my facebook friends are in my phonebook. I downloaded handcent and they do not show up in there because i disabled it. but when i press "phone" they show up. is there any way of fixing this i have been looking around for awhile and cannot figure it out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you use Outlook (like me) to control your address book, and you have pictures on some of the names in your address book, and you used the HTC Sync to import those names to the Evo 4G into the contacts on the phone, you have noticed that when you make or receive calls to the people with the pictures on their names that the photo is blurry and looks horrible.
I asked around on here and looked at other places but did not really receive a clear answer. So playing with the phone for a few minutes I figured out what I have to do to get clear pictures on the contacts profiles on the phone.
1. Connect the phone to the computer and put the phone in Disk Drive mode.
2. Explore the phones drive and goto the DCIM folder. Inside there I went into 100MEDIA.
3. You take a picture from your computer or whatever source and transfer it into that folder on the cell phone
4. After you move the picture to the phone, disconnect the phone from the computer or change the phones setting to Charge Only
5. On the cell phone, press Phone. From the Phone screen press Menu - People and choose a person
6. On the persons profile via your phone, scroll down to Edit Contact and press that
7. On the top left corner press the camera icon and choose Gallery on the popup
8. Choose the folder where the picture is, should be in Camera Shots
9. Choose the picture. After you do this you will be shown a "cropping" zone.
10. Crop the image by moving the outlined box around the part of the image you want to show up when you make or receive calls of that person. Press Save
11. Back on the personal profile on the phone just scroll down and press save, and your done.
This method is for transferring pictures of your computer to your phone. To use pictures you've taken on the phone just change the walk through around a little.

EDIT TO #10 - Cropping Image:
I just saw that when cropping, you can press your finger on the green line and you will get arrows that show up. you can then slide your finger and make the box bigger or smaller. Just a quick update of this tutorial.
