I would like to export my SMS with certain people via email or something. how can i do so? i would much rather do it via the phone's stock application, but if there is no way to do so, I'm ready to download a good program.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an app where I want to list all phone numbers and the associated contact name.I see that there is the Contacts.People table for the purpose of getting all phone numbers and that there is a PERSON_ID to allow me to lookup the contact in Contacts.People.Great.Now I see that all the columns I want are already joined to the Contacts.People.Phones table. But that seems lucky in this case.How could I do the equivalent of the above statement in general if the implementer of the content provider hadn't been so nice as to join for me?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have all of my contacts linked to their respective facebook accounts, but the pictures that show up when I go to my People never update with the facebook pictures, they have stayed the same since the day I linked the two regardless of how many times the person has changed their default picture since then. Is there any way for me to change this so the pictures in my People update with facebook? Since they are linked I assume they should be able to do this.

While it?s easiest to just use gmail to sync contacts and calendar, it?s certainly not required. Here?s how you can back up your contact list for easy retrieval anytime you need them. Open your contacts application Make sure All contacts are visible, unless you only want to back up certain groups.
Hit the menu button
Hit the Import/Export button
We can verify that this works on HTC Sense phones, as well as the new Galaxy S series phones. If you?re using something a bit more vanilla, you will have an option to do the same thing but using your SIM card (through SIM Manager in the contacts menu) instead of the microSD card. Lastly, if you?re using the latest CM6, you have the option to do both!
Barring any complications, I will be preordering the HTC Droid Incredible on Monday, April 19th, to be shipped to me on launch (April 29th). I currently have the Blackberry Storm 1. Has anyone heard of how to import the contacts from the Storm to the Incredible? Since I will be doing the activation once I get it shipped to me and I haven't messed with the Android OS or anything with the current HTC phones or whatnot, I am not sure what it takes to get the contacts from the Blackberry to other phones.

Both free, if you already have Contacts <-> Excel get the latest version or you'll lose the addresses.
You can import into EZ directly from Outlook. With Thunderbird you have to export in CSV format and then import the CSV file into EZ. You have to manually match the fieldnames between EZ and the CSV file to make sure everything goes into the right place.
Once in EZ you export the data in Google CSV format and copy the file to the SD card of your device.
Next step is to use Contacts <-> Excel, just select "Import", > SD Card > Select the file from the list > Select the account you're importing into and then GO.
EZ can be used to sort your contacts into groups, edit contacts, get the map for your contact, email them, open their website and set up a Skype phone call.
I now use EZ all the time rather than Thunderbird & Outlook &c it means I can change my default email client without having to update contacts. I also store bookmarks in it so I can easily swap to another browser.
I am finding that listings in the "people" app are different than those when I try to find them with the phone dialer. I do not understand. Suggestions?

I also synced with the Gmail contacts and slowly I'm merging them. how the hell do I export the contacts to a new fresh CSV as I make changes on the phone? I've set each of us up with a gmail account, and I was able to successfully import my contacts from iTunes (I had an iPod Touch). I've spent quite a bit of time in Gmail editing the contacts and adding photos, phone numbers, etc, and would like my wife to share these as well, as a starting point. So what I did was export the contacts to my desktop as a .csv file, then log into *her* account, and import the.csv file. That works great, except I don't have any of the thumbnail photos (which makes sense, 'cause there's nothing in the .csv file about photos). Is there another way to share my contacts with photos, short of going through the whole process of editing each contact from her account and adding a photo?

If I export this shared code as a jarfile and link it to my main project, the Davik compiler gives an error about a duplicate manifest. If I don't include the mainifest, Davik gives an error that the manifest is missing.
I export my application to .apk file, sign it then install it. But when I run my App, it displays an error because there's no data in my database. Is there a way to export and import without going through google or any other cloud computing servers? I have PIMBackup running on HTC TyTn and that exports contacts in a CSV format. I have also located a new application (not tried it yet) will export them in XML format. Will this help with the importing? I am not able to find 1 application that will run on both the phones. I have loads of information on my contacts (from addresses to groups to different phone numbers) and I don't want to lose any of this information.

I have set up email accounts connecting to a google-hosted email account via IMAP. I am finding that when replying to a received email, my reply goes out with redundant repetitions of the email address on the "to" line. Example: Email from soandso@gmail.com arrives. I click "reply" on the phone and the reply goes out to soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com etc etc *10 times*, instead of just once. It also copies me about 10 times! Is anybody else seeing this? I use this for work emails, so it looks very unprofessional like I am trying to spam my clients! I have another couple of days before my 30-day return period is up, so hopefully someone else know how to fix this. Is there some setting I am overlooking?

Anyways, my DX has been working flawlessly since I got it back on 10/6. Sunday, 10/31, my DX quit syncing just my corporate Exchange 2003 emails, then yesterday it started not sending emails as well and now, this morning, it quit syncing my personal email. Corporate email will sync manually, just not push. I have rebooted several times, pulled the battery several times, and also deleted both my Exchange account and my personal account and re-added both and the problem still persists. I don't have any task killer apps installed and haven't recently added any apps since the issues started. Anyone have an idea what may be causing the lack of push (in and out) on both of my accounts?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOne of my contacts in the People app exhibits a strange behavior.
When I open the People app up and press the users photo, I'll get the normal icons like Call, View contact, text, email. But for this single user I also get another call icon. If I press this second call icon I get the 'Complete action using' dialog with apps listed.
Selecting random apps to use to open does nothing more than open the app.
I've tried deleting the contact and re-adding it and the second phone icon continues to appear. Sometimes it doesn't though.
There is nothing out of the ordinary with this contact either. Just a phone number, email address, and picture.
