Is there any way to have the default ringtones NOT play when u randomize your music in the music player? It's really annoying listening to a good song and then having to listen to crappy ass ringers and things of the like...

I have downloaded three ringtones and none of them currently play what they are supposed to. They play a default tone whether they are set as the ringer or if they are selected directly from the ringtone list.

View 7 Replies View Relatedim using the free version from the market. when i first opened it it gave me the option to do by songs or by album. for some reason i thought by album would be easier. when i went to play the songs i noticed that it was linking multiple songs with the same album cover..most were not even from the same artist. i uninstalled it, then reinstalled and still didnt get the option to do it by song.
how do i update the album for the ones that got the wrong cover? there are some songs that still dont have one at all as its not showing up in the list in the app of album cover..i have been using ayal music download to download the songs. i currently have music mod, and mixzing downloaded and the problem is happening with all of the music players. im hoping there is a way to fix this..i dont necessarily need the album cover, but it would be nice to have.

As you can guess, it's eating up ~100mb of my 400mb internal storage and the music files are still downloading to the sd card. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using a couple of different methods recently trying to sync music on my desire, nothing has worked properly for me, windows media player, itunes sync, doubletwist and even htc sync 3.0 wont do the job.I was using album artwork grabber then to get missing artwork.So i deleted all my music from my desire and started from scratch and just dragged and dropped all the music files to it.This is working great except loads of my album artwork has been mislabelled with a completly different one. Every song has artwork, there is none with the default green logo which used to be there before I'm certain on these songs. But now they all have this other album cover, it's like it's replaced the default music icon cover.I tried clearing the media application data and it rebuilt the library, but it's still the same.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi don't know if this is normal of not - when i use google play (downloaded from play store) and the album cover pic doesn't change. if it switch between artists (different "folder") it will change, but if i have 1 artist with like multiple albums it won't change album picture. and yes i'm sure the song has an album art attached refer to sig for my phone specs

If you start playing by quick-pressing the album, it shows you the list of songs. If tagged correctly, this list is in correct song order, and will play the album in order from whichever song you select to start from. If not tagged correctly, it shows in alphabetical order.
So far, so good.. can't complain... BUT...
If you start playing an album by long-pressing it and selecting "Play", it plays it alphabetically, regardless of the status of the tagging.
I am an HTC Incredible user but would like to compare or see if the HTC Evo has different default ringtones and notifications.

I have a terminal emulator installed, so I think that would be the place to start, but am unsure if I can delete anything that's not on the SD card. I'm more worried what may happen if I do this. My reasoning for doing this is that I hate the built in ringtones, and have placed mp3's on the sdcard under /Ringtones and they show up in my Ring tones (no need to use the media player to do so). I have to browse through the ton of crappy tones to select the ones I'd like (obviously this isn't really a space issue, more convenience )

Or do I need to install alternate ringtones? If so, what are some good ringtone apps to handle this? I have thought about Foxyring, but after reading some of the comments about it, I'm not too sure it's the best for what I'm trying to do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI discovered something interesting today. I installed some custom ringtones to my SD card last night by creating a ringtones folder on the SD card and copying the ringtones into that folder.
I then selected one of the custom ringtones as my default ringer.
Today my battery was drained over 60% by 11am. (unplugged at 6:30am)
Before adding the custom ringtones, I was easily making it to the evening hours without any battery problems.
I checked the battery status and was alarmed to see that my up time and awake time were nearly 1 for 1!
I rebooted the phone thinking there was a run away app. After being up for an hour, same problem, a 1 to 1 ratio.
The battery use indicated Cell Standy as number 1 with Android System as number 2.
I knew something was wrong as usually Phone Idle is number 2 in my list.
So, I deleted the Ringtones folder I created on the SD card and rebooted.
I checked the phone over the last couple hours and awake time an up times are back to normal, as is my battery use indicator.
Long story short, it appears that the system may have been staying awake to keep the SD card powered since my default ringtone resided on the SD card?
I've just rooted my X8 from 2.1 to 2.3.7 (GingerXperia v10). When i try to set my notification tones and alarm tones i didn't find any good ones.
So my request is can some one post all the tones (notification and alarm) of Xperia X8 2.1

The issue: I downloaded a ringtone and now it is showing up with all my mp3's (500 or so) in the Play Music App.
What I need: I do not want the ring tone to show up in the Play Music App but I want to keep the ringtone because I use it to identify when my girlfriend calls.
What I don't want to happen: I do not want the ringtone deleted because I still need it to function as a ringtone for one of my contacts.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my phone xperia mini pro SK17i 's software from GB to ICS 4.0.4 and rooted my phone. After rooting i installed Titanium backup and remove a few what i thought were unnecessary apps from my phone . I think i also deleted the google.download.manager.apk i'm not sure but i cannot see this service in my "ALL APPS" (APP Manager) Its not at the bottom or disabled its just not there.
Since then i keep getting gapps stopped working and Google play stopped working .
i have tried
1. Rebooting (multiple times)
2. Clearing cache/clearing data for Play
3. un-installing /Re Install play
4. Download goomanager and downloading latest gapps packed and flashed the zip
5. Delete gmail account and restart and add account again.
Also i don't think there is prob in Google sync...
and checked out all the sites and forums for solution ... i still haven't gotten any solution to this.

I have downloaded a new download manager for now. But was wondering if i can get back Google download manager without have to to do a factory reset.
The reason I KNOW its not me changing these ringtones in all of the assignable designations for media files to be played for the ringtones and such is that I have not a single of my music files within any of these settings as an option to assign in the first place. They are showing up randomly. This morning I awoke to Rock n Roll by Led Zeppelin, and earlier today a friend called my whose ringtone was changed to 99 Red Balloons.
Let me reitterate; I have never assingned a music track as a ringtone, alarm, or notification. The previous ringtone still exists in my library and is functional IE; i can reassign the same ringtone to a person again. I THINK that only ringtones which are NOT DEFAULT are changing. I do have an abundance of navigation (gps, turn by turn, ect), some news, a widget for quick settings (wifi, bluetooth, ringer on/off, gps), Music (shazam, pandora tunee music, The house FM christian radio) Astro file manager, Emulators, facebook integration.I have noticed some coming on by themselves. Ill try to note when I have done nothing to activate them.
I am enjoying my new phone but having trouble finding apps with up to date mp3 music/ringtones on and could someone explain how i save mp3 tracks/ringtones to my memory card.
