View 12 RepliesIs it still possible to make your password part of the voicemail speed-dial #, so you don't have to dial the password every time? I can't seem to find that option since the OTA.
View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to get the number "1" to be your voicemail speed dial? I've done the 2.1 update, and saved the *86pXXXX# as the password, but the dialer won't got to voicemail when I actually press "1" on the dial pad. Does anyone have a fix for this?

View 12 Replies View RelatedWhile using the speed dial widget that comes with the Eris, is there a way to put two contacts of the same person in, but with different numbers? For example,I want both my fiance's cell and his work number in those 9 slots, but I can only choose one as the default and if I go to add him in another slot, he isn't even available as a choice under my People.I can make him a wholly separate contact for his work info obviously, but I was just wondering if there was a sleeker way?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn the screen where you can one touch to call a favorite friend, how do you delete a friend? I don't want to delete them off my phone, just the one touch screen. When I long press it lights up the whole "post it" with all the friends and wants to remove all of them.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat is that number you dial to make the Eris look for an update? Something like "#*#*something#*#*" but I don't remember exactly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI read somewhere here I believe, although I can't find it now. That there is a way to make the phone ask for confirmation before you dial the number? Specifically I am inadvertantly dialing my favorites, I would like the phone to ask before dialing.
I am running LEAKED 2.1
Got an android phone used for develeopment/modifications over wifi, but am confused as to how the previous owners phone number still shows up in the Settings > About Phone > Status dialogue.
With no SIM card, completely wiping everything, how does it still show up on new roms?
Got an eris here programmed for alltel's data, i did it myself by changing values in the programming menu, i now have a droid x on my alltel i programmed and want to give the eris to my buddy on vzw how do i restore it back to factory defaults? Its activated but data doesn't work and calls are flaky and sms is flaky too.. A system restore of the phone doesn't return the programming menu of the phone back to verizon's default. Stays at alltels values. .. its running latest 2.1 vzw OTA.
I know that with my droid X if i flash the factory rom with a desktop computer to restore it with factory firmware it puts the radio back to default settings. How do i do this on an HTC?
Does HTC have a Desktop flash restore that i can download??
I have had this same problem happen twice to me on 2 different phones on 2 different Verizon accounts!
The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?
Change the voicemail number in the settings. E.g. if your password is 1234 put *86,,,1234#, (, is pause - you must put a pause after the # - otherwise it won't work) I have tried that advice and still cant get it to work. I have put from 1 to 4 pauses inbetween the 86 and the passcode. That still isnt working. I hear no attempt for the phone to put in the passcode.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been trying out new ROM's and it's been fun. Here is my biggest headache with doing this. I have about 10 contacts that are Direct Dial (speed dial to the rest of the world). What I do is put them in a folder as a shortcut to prevent accidental dialing. But I have to constantly redo this set up. Is there a way to save a folder and it's contents, such as direct dial numbers, to my sd card and bring it back with each new ROM or launcher? Starred folder doesn't work for me as it's more clicking when I am driving. The app Direct Dial still takes several clicks.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIn my notification bar at the top of my screen it says i have 1 voicemail. This notification also pops up when i turn my phone back on from being locked. However, when I check my voicemail, I do not have a new message or any saved messages either. Whats going on and how do I get rid of it?
View 16 Replies View RelatedWhen I tried to activate my phone, it wouldn't work. So I called Verizon from my landline and I told them and they had me activate it manually. They had me type in some random string of numbers to the phone dial pad and it took me to a screen where I set my phone's ID and other stuff manually (that the activation call would do automatically). I'm just curious as to what's in here. Does anyone remember the number? I can't remember it for the love of me and it's not in my call log.

I have been looking through the various bits on the phone and decided to put a password on it. I have done this on all of my previous, simple, phones with no problems, but now that I have done it on the MG all I can get is the phone dial screen. No pptions for any apps, settings, etc. Just the dial screen.
I have tried the factory reset using the power/volume buttons but when I get to the second selection, with the 'distressed android' showing I don't get any options with it, just the android.
I just bought an Xperia x10 with 3 mobile. When I dial 333 to connect to my voicemail I can't get the keypad to come up and therefore can't navigate through the 3 voicemail service. I can only listen to my first message, can't delete, save or move to next message. Please help me in my struggle to bring up the keyboard or my Xperia gets a hose head in its bed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I set up Google Voice to be my voicemail provider on my phone.
Twice.
The first time I did it directly on the site and followed the instructions.....THEN I went to the phone and actually changed it in the Voicemail provider settings (there is a spot for it)
When called it still made me put in my voicemail #.
So I started the process over again.
This time I set up my verizon voice mail with the phone number and the ",****" for the pause and the password. Then i told it to use google voicemail.
Then I went into google voicemail and set up the phone again.
And....
Voila....it automatically puts in my password for me now. Although on the phone it doesn't show that its there at all.
There doesn't seem to be a reason to switch the setting on the phone as the voicemail indicator in "messages" doesn't change.....and also It doesn't seem to be able to set up the true visual voicemail through it.
You have to use the Google Voice app to get them and just search through your mails. (If anyone has a way around that one I'd be grateful - for both the message indicator and the visual voicemail)
When I attempt to set my voicemail greeting, it first asks me to set a 4-7 digit password, then hit #. If I hit # without entering digits, it says "# is not recognized". The user manual clearly states "Sprint recommends you set a password, otherwise anyone who finds your phone can access your voicemail." That implies you don't have to set a password. So how do I tell it I don't want a password, and let me move on to the greeting recording?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Evo takes about 30 seconds to dial a number. i select a contact in my contact list, the contact highlights but does not dial for about 30 seconds. While I was typing this my phone was turned sideways for the big keyboard, I would select a letter, the letter bubble appears but the letter does not show on screen. In vertical mode the keyboard is fine.
