I will be purchasing a droid tomorrow but it will be my company phone, when i download apps will i be able to pay out of pocket or will they be charged to the bill? I have never owned smartphone before so i don't know how they work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm very close to buying the desire from mobiles.co.uk (�110 handset) and Vodafone (600 mins, unlimited texts, 1gb internet, 24 months). I have a few questions which I would be incredibly grateful if you could help me with.
1.) - How do I put my iTunes music on to the Desire?
2.) - What is the PC Software like, and do they have or plan to have a iTunes version for Android any time soon?
3.) - Can you make folders on the Desire to put photos in?
4.) - Is 1GB enough, if I have 3G on but not using does this still eat up my allowance?
5.) - Can the Androids phones get viruses if you visit unsafe websites?
6.) - And with Vodafone does your monthly bill show the websites you have visited?
Has anybody figured out how to get past the Market bug that won't allow a US Credit Card to purchase an App listed with foreign currency?If I try to buy anything listed in Euros, I get an "Invalid Card" message.

I just hooked up my Credit Card to the Google Play Store, and bought a couple of apps, and after that, attempted to remove it. I went to [URL] and went to the 'Payment Methods' and tried removing the card. But it warned me:

Will removing the card remove these apps from my Google account? And I won't be able to update/redownload them later?I have to remove it really soon.
Do the Android Apps that sync with your iTunes get broken when you update to a new version of iTunes? I just saw a post where the Pre's iTunes sync got killed in the 9.0.2 upgrade.

View 49 Replies View RelatedLet me start by saying that the Droid is a pretty impressive piece of technology.I tried purchasing an MP3 through the Amazon MP3 app, which comes pre-installed on the Droid. Everything looked like it was working fine, until I got to the checkout part. I entered my amazon e-mail and password, accepted the terms of service, and was immediately taken to the "Now purchasing" screen - I was never prompted for a method of payment (is this normal).Has anyone else experienced this? Are others prompted to choose a payment method? The only other posts that I've found with this problem are from people in the UK who bought the phone in the US. The responses indicate that the problem is maybe due to the app accessing the US store, but the user being located in the UK. I bought my phone in Maryland, and that's where I live, so I don't see how this could be the problem.

Just curious if there is an app on the android market that would allow me to do credit card processing thru my phone. I've seen the attachment hardware for the iphone and also the straight software where you enter in credit card information manual into the phone.
This would be a huge thing for me, as I currently do a lot of mobile credit card processing with a machine that costs me a lot of money would be great to get rid of it.

I downloaded Android 2.2 this morning. Note: I did not attempt to sync my
"corporate" microsoft exchange calendar before today so I have no knowledge of how this may have worked on Android 2.1. I believe I read somewhere that 2.1 allowed for separate or multiple calendars.
I just set up my "Corporate Sync" account today on my stock Droid X and it merged all of my work's Calendar events (via exchange) with my Personal Gmail Calendar events into one calendar.
I'd prefer to keep these things calendars separate as it's hard enough to not think about work when I'm not at home!
I have 2 Questions:
(1) Does anyone know if there is a way to have two separate calendars (i.e. one for work, and one personal)?
(2) If I add an event to my Google Calendar will it sync to my Corporate Calendar? I'm assuming No since I don't think it does it in the opposite manner (e.g. Corporate calendar doesn't sync to Google Calendar).
Jorte also merged all my Work events and Personal events together despite the settings only stating that it will only sync my Google Calendar. So I can't use Jorte and Google to view Personal and Work calendars that way.
I'm looking for an app that is protected where I can store personal stuff such as credit card and bank info. I know there are several out there in the market but I can't seem to find them.

"Credit card" is greyed out so all I can do is hit "Cancel" and go back round in the circle.This is the first time I've tried to buy an app.Can anyone tell me what to do next ? They both come up under the standard email icon and are working fine. The question is, how do I get each one to have it's own notification sound. I don't want any sound for hotmail because I get a lot of mail on it. I do want my work account to sound though. If I try to change the setting on one, it automatically changes the other one.

However, fire department and my wife I would like to assign seperate notification tones. In addition I would like to download ringtones other than the standard ones on the phone. I see them in the phone ringer section but not in messaging. How do I get them in there. I am new to this so I need detailed instruction.
