I wanted to know how do you add a picture to a contact ?
I have a picture saved in my photos, how do I add that picture to the contact, so when they call their picture shows up?

I am sure this has been discussed but the Contact Picture Quality is horrible. I am using a High Quality picture but yet its fuzzy and pixelated..

View 19 Replies View RelatedI use the backgrounds app, and it lets me save backgrounds to my SD card. I go into Astro/ sdcard/ backgrounds and then click on the picture. It gives me 2 options to open it. "ASTRO Image Viewer" and "View picture". For me to use it as a background I have to pull it up in "View picture", BUT....no matter how many times I try and pull it up that way, it shows me the first picture in my camera album. If I click "ASTRO Image Viewer", I can always see the picture I selected, but under menu, I only have the option to "share" and nothing else. Can you tell me why the selected picture won't show up in "View picture"?

When I use Google Voice Search to call a contact (e.g. "Call Wendy Home" [my wife]), the contact is found and the number is dialed successfully, but the picture doesn't show on the screen (just the android image). However, if I look her up in contacts and make the call, or receive a call from her number, the contact image is displayed. Is there a setting that needs to be made to enable the contact picture when using voice search?

If I download and app and I decide I don't want it, How do I get rid of it? Sorry for the (probably stupid) questions, but these two things are really bugging me at the moment.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed the latest Facebook app on my Droid today and found that it synced most of my contact photos beautifully. (I chose the second option: only to sync photos with my current contacts) However, one minor issue and two less minor issues:
- For one of my contacts, the picture didn't sync. Dunno why but I guess I can just add the photo manually.
- Another thing is weird. After making a call I've noticed that in my dialer's "favorites" tab, there is a contact who I am friends with on Facebook but whom I do not have the number for, nor whom I have ever called at all! This person keeps reappearing (with FB profile pic and email address) in my dialer app, but the person is not in my actual Google / Android contacts.
Any ideas on how to fix that latter issue? Whenever I delete this person's listing from the Favorites tab, they keep reappearing after I make calls (to other people) O_o
Oh, and since we're talking about the Facebook app..
- Is there any way for Facebook to use the Android notification system to let me know about any new FB notifications? As it is, I'll be on the computer and see some new notifications, but on my Droid I have to manually refresh notifications in the app before it knows about them. Kinda weird.
Is there a way to increase the font size for the contact page for the Eris? Or maybe there's an app?

Here is the problem i want to set the whole picture as the wallpaper but when you set as on the eris a box pops up the picture and you have to adjust it. I don't want that I want the whole dam picture. Are you guys having trouble. I found a website that has wallpaper with correct size but when i send it to myself i have to adjust the picture with that dang box.

I was really sad when i saw the quality of the photos that i took. Heres one.
I looked around on the forums before posting, and the issues i found similar to mine were on different phones, but i tried them anyways. Those threads suggested adjusting the flicker and Iso settings. messed with both, and there really wasn't a difference. I don't have the little plastic film on it either lol

I'm not sure if this had already been addressed but is anyone having trouble sending picture (or video, etc.) mms on the eris? I'm currently using handcent and it would not send any picture texts. The sending green bubble keeps spinning no matter how long I leave it. Then the text becomes "undelivered."
I also tried sending picture mms with the native message app and it got sent but the people I was trying to send it to said they didn't receive anything.
I just wanted to see if there a way to assign a picture to the contact without the picture being very blurry, when I assign the picture it is fine but after a while the picture becomes very blurry.

View 5 Replies View Relatedso i decided i want to use the picture frame widget again after not using it for a while... but now when i go to choose a photo it uses astro as the browser this would be ok but as soon as I select which picture i would like to use it says: "Sorry! The application Photos has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."Then it force closes and I can't use the widget.Anyone else using Astro with this problem? Any solutions on how to use the default picture browser instead?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have all my contacts in Gmail and sync'd with facebook on my desire.Some contacts I have images in google too (which are low res as we all know).I used Facebook Sync (or fbSync) from the market to pull images from facebook and upload to Gmail.This appears to work fine.Out of the contacts that have images for facebook and google contacts, some default to using the FB image (which is what I want) and some default to google.I need google images because HulloMail VVM only uses gmail contacts so I don't get a contact image unless I have a gmail ones for my voicemails.I have tried to find a trend between the contacts that default to google and those which don't but have been unsuccessful in finding one. I have tried turning off contacts sync but also to no avail.Has anyone else had this issue, or has anyone got any idea on what could be causing this please? I've been trawling the web for too long now and can't find any reference to this issue at all.

I imagine that if I want to change it, I can just assign the new one to it, but at now, I want to remove the pic so I can use the person's facebook profile picture as the contact pic but cant seem to figure out how to remove the contact pic.
