Motorola Droid X : Chomp Sms - Unable To Contact Picture?
Sep 17, 2010I cant get my contact pictures to show up with this app. I did check show contact pictures but still nada. Anyone have this issue?

Motorola Droid :: Enable Contact Picture When Using Voice Search?
Jan 1, 2010The majority of my contacts have pictures associated with them. When I use Google Voice Search to call a contact (e.g. "Call Wendy Home" [my wife]), the contact is found and the number is dialed successfully, but the picture doesn't show on the screen (just the android image). However, if I look her up in contacts and make the call, or receive a call from her number, the contact image is displayed. Is there a setting that needs to be made to enable the contact picture when using voice search?

Jul 30, 2010I have a contact picture on one of my home screens with two + signs up under it. I can't figure out how to get it off of my home screen. If I download and app and I decide I don't want it, How do I get rid of it? Sorry for the (probably stupid) questions, but these two things are really bugging me at the moment.

May 16, 2010I installed the latest Facebook app on my Droid today and found that it synced most of my contact photos beautifully. (I chose the second option: only to sync photos with my current contacts) However, one minor issue and two less minor issues:
- For one of my contacts, the picture didn't sync. Dunno why but I guess I can just add the photo manually.
- Another thing is weird. After making a call I've noticed that in my dialer's "favorites" tab, there is a contact who I am friends with on Facebook but whom I do not have the number for, nor whom I have ever called at all! This person keeps reappearing (with FB profile pic and email address) in my dialer app, but the person is not in my actual Google / Android contacts.
Any ideas on how to fix that latter issue? Whenever I delete this person's listing from the Favorites tab, they keep reappearing after I make calls (to other people) O_o
Oh, and since we're talking about the Facebook app..
- Is there any way for Facebook to use the Android notification system to let me know about any new FB notifications? As it is, I'll be on the computer and see some new notifications, but on my Droid I have to manually refresh notifications in the app before it knows about them. Kinda weird.
Motorola Droid :: Error Occured - Unable To Contact Downloads Server
Jul 5, 2010I was trying to root my droid and everything was going fine until my DM updater gave me this error "an error has occured! unable to contact downloads server http://downloads.droidmod.org/updater.xml". I'm good on my phone and computers, But I cant figure this one out. I've tried going to the droid-mod website and it seems to be down. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or am I getting this error because the site is down.

May 31, 2010I have couple of contacts which have multiple numbers so I added all of those under a single name Now, when I try to message those names, starting from "new message", somehow typing the names in "To" bar does not thrown those names. Instead, it shows some weird number (e.g. 2229 etc) when typing those names Net result, the contacts are not accessible from messaging application. Now I need to go to the contacts to text them.

Jul 18, 2010When adding new contacts to the droid x, it added it as both a goggle contact and phone contact. (i only have one goggle account setup). I went into contacts -> menu -> more -> settings. I am UNABLE to check/unchecked the "Phone Contacts" (it is always checked). The goggle one i am able to check/unchecked. WHY and HOW can i toggle the phone contact? Also, backup assistant only takes PHONE contacts and not GOOGLE contacts...while g mail contact sync only takes goggle contacts and NOT PHONE contacts. How can one change phone contact to goggle contact? (i have seen posts all over but no answers...and just replies saying "i have the same problem") I am trying NOT to have two (2) different types of contacts. PHONE and GOOGLE. I just want goggle contacts ( or phone contacts. so i can at least use verizon's backup assistant.

Jul 13, 2010Just letting people know that Chomp just updated on my phone and it now has the popup like Handcent does. I recall reading through posts before that the lack of the popup was a big negative for Chomp. Just spreading the news, not saying any one app is better than the other. Do what you want with this information.

Mine is only about 1 inch by 1/2 inch.I can barely even get 1/2 a face in the picture.How do you get a bigger picture?I'm running LauncherPro, is that effecting it?Since I couldn't get a bigger picture, I decided to try and add the slide show widget. But when I try, it says Widget Conflict only one photo slideshow per home screen. I don't have any other slideshow widgets on my screen. Any ideas?

Jun 8, 2010I have all my contacts in Gmail and sync'd with facebook on my desire.Some contacts I have images in google too (which are low res as we all know).I used Facebook Sync (or fbSync) from the market to pull images from facebook and upload to Gmail.This appears to work fine.Out of the contacts that have images for facebook and google contacts, some default to using the FB image (which is what I want) and some default to google.I need google images because HulloMail VVM only uses gmail contacts so I don't get a contact image unless I have a gmail ones for my voicemails.I have tried to find a trend between the contacts that default to google and those which don't but have been unsuccessful in finding one. I have tried turning off contacts sync but also to no avail.Has anyone else had this issue, or has anyone got any idea on what could be causing this please? I've been trawling the web for too long now and can't find any reference to this issue at all.

HTC EVO 4G :: During Call Picture Assigned To Contact Looks Horrible
Jun 9, 2010Does anyone else notice that when you receive or make a phone call the picture you have assigned to that contact looks horrible? I've taken pictures with my evo to use for contact pics, and have transferred high quality pics from my computer but no matter what I do the contact pic looks poor quality when they pop up? If there is a fix for this or I'm doing something wrong someone please let me know.

Some contact pictures are from gmail, some contact pictures are from fbook and some are from gmail when I first setup the phone and never changed.
