I loaded about 4 gigs worth of videos (About 160 different clips) onto my 8 gig SD card. When I try to play a video, the video freezes after about 1-2 seconds, but the sound keeps playing. Is there any way to solve this? There's just over 3 gigs of free space on the card.

When I download like a 50 sec video it will play about the first 3 secs and then all I hear is sound. Is there an app that fixes this or can I change something on my phone to make it work?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this issue that randomly occurs either after watching so many videos or my phone just being on after so much time that videos will stop playing, the first second of a video will play and then it stops, this occurs for youtube videos or videos locally on my phone. This issue can be resolved by doing a reboot but then will just occur again.
I have a Droid Razr MAXX and it is rooted running liquid smooth.
I want to know that can we stop playing sound or music of other application which actually plays the music from our application? Something like get the handle of MusicPlayer or AudioManager in our application and using this handle stop the currently playing sound.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI hope nobody's already answered this somewhere -- I've been searching for a few days now with no luck. I'm wanting to disable the audio in received mms messages. I absolutely loath those messages that scream, blare music, say offensive stuff, etc. With my old Lotus, you actually had to choose to play the attached audio, but I can't find anything anywhere to set this on my new Evo. If anyone knows how to either make the audio in messages manual instead of automatic, or just disable their audio completely, I'd be eternally grateful to learn this!

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if there is anyway to set my phone in such a way that my ring tone will turn off when I open the phone (either unlock/ do anything to the phone). As it is right now my ring tone (a full mp3 song imported from my pc) will play until I drag down my notification bar. I'm using tone picker and handcent sms if it makes any difference.
Also, is there a way to edit the the keyboard input sound when typing with the stock keyboard?
Cannot play videos in LFY 1.4. They play fine when i go back to vanilla frg22. Just says "video cannot be played". All are in MP4 format. Any ideas?

View 3 Replies View RelatedBy the time the phone rings, it takes 12 seconds for the phone to go to vmail (both gvoice and vzw vmail) WHen I call my droid from the eris, it takes 25 seconds, from droid (well any phone for that matter) it takes 12 seconds... on top of the the phone doesn't ring until the 2nd ring or so (like my previous thread) this gives me about 8 seconds to pick up the phone.something isn't right here. I'm almost ready to assume this is a VZW problem, am I correct?(my 2nd try when the screen was off, and phone on sleep, it went to vmail in about 9-10 seconds after the eris started to ring)

The issue is that when I put an mp4 on my Evo, it will show up as a black screen with only the audio playing. Those were with larger files, approximately 1.6gb, and 2.3gb. I did get a a smaller file (about 20mb) to play, although the audio was off.

I was looking forward to being able to play flash videos, after trying to play a few (from entensity.net) I can see the player, but pressing play results in only a yellow exclamation mark... Is there a solution to this or is flash support not quite there yet on android? (Btw according to the settings menu on the phone all software is up to date.)

The sound works fine on the phone but the problem seems to be with the video. Has anyone else experienced this? It happened on both Windows 7 and XP. I have noticed the file type is .3gp. Does this need converting or something?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have tried to play several H.264 720p video samples on my EVO, and I get sound but no video. Two examples are the Simpsons trailer and the Fantastic Four trailer at H.264 Demo Clips | H264info.com I get no error, and I have tried the Android media player and several others (which are no doubt using the same API's underneath). Is it expected that video will not play for these files? Obviously the phone's screen would not be able to play them in full detail but I didn't expect that it could not play them at all. What is the point of having 720p resolution over HDMI when the phone can't play videos at that resolution? Or is it that it supports some particular type of H.264 and these videos aren't supported? Or is it actually trying to output directly through HDMI and I see nothing since I don't have it hooked up? UPDATE: I trans coded these sample trailers using Handbrake, and even when I end up with a LARGER file size they do play at 720p. But if I use the high quality preset, they do not work even at a low butyrate at 720p. So it's something about the "advanced options" that determines whether the EVO can play it or not.

I tried another ROM for android 4.4 and it still won't work. It works fine on android 4.3 or any custom Roms for it. I'll include a video for it in the next post.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem ever since installed then uninstalled avast and the antitheft bit that sometimes youtube won't play videos.The app shows the videos available and I can search but when you click to play all you get is the spinning circle.
It doesn't happen often and a restart of phone always fixed it before but now that's not working.Cleared cache etc but nothings working. What can cause this and how to sort it?
Its a stock rooted gb rom and only happened when avasts hidden app didn't uninstall after getting superuser rights and I had to freeze the hidden app then uninstall it with titanium backup. It did say (avast) something about doing something to nand.
So my Eris no matter what player I use will eventually start skipping. It'll also start playing a song skip to another , then another then back to the original and then call my voicemail. Other times when I dont even have a music app open and try to send a text it'll start playing a song. Anyone have any clue what is going on?
