Will it be sent again? I wanted to charge my battery first, but when I checked under Notifications the notice was gone. Will it be sent again, or should I go somewhere to download it?

I just got the new ota update (frg01b) and now when i try to start the missed reminder app it wont let me and everytime it says it has to force close.

LED doesnt do me much good because you cant see it when its in the phone holder.it would be nice if it worked like the email or the text message does.

This has happened even when the ringer volume is turned all the way up (it's much too easy to inadvertently lower the ringer volume, but that's another story). Yeah, I know - I live in New York City, where it's easy to not hear a phone ring, but I've missed calls even when I'm in a totally quiet room. Just now, I was sitting with the phone on the table in front of me, and it started lighting up with an incoming call, but the ringer made no sound. I checked and the ringer was up 3/4 of the way, so it should have been ringing.
View 25 Replies View RelatedGot my android yesterday havent really played with it other than installing app killer, and checking to see if i could root(i cant :sadface and noticed on my mothers phone(same droid eris) that her notification light was blinking Green. i Checked the manual from the verizon website and all it mentions is green solid, red solid, and red blinking, nothing about Green blinking. It was not plugged in, it was not being used. I thought it was perhaps saying "hey you have a new message/email/missed call" but she had no notifications. anyone know what Blinking green means?

I inadvertently cleared the notification without installing and don't know how to get the update now. I have tried going to system update but it says nothing is available. I have also compared my software numbers to those posted by phandroid and I definitely have the old, non-updated versions. Will Verizon eventually push me another update or have I completely missed the boat?

It now rest in peace in my computer desk drawer for the rest of eternity. Now that I have the droid I have no use for it, and am happy I don't have to carry the damn thing around. I also lay to rest my LG dare, you were great for the year I had you but honestly, you were just a plain old phone with a touch screen. You will (not) be missed.

I currently have about 13 updates available, but I hate that the updates ADD to the size of the app instead of replacing what you have. Eventually, after updating Google Maps a few more times, the thing is gonna be over 10MB... not that that is HUGE necessarily but a few apps like that, that keep adding on 1 or 2 MB per update will definitely add up. Sometimes I will uninstall and reinstall again, so as not to end up with a much bigger file size-- however, I'm not sure that always works as I think it should. Anyhoo, what is your application update process? Update all? None? Just ones you think are necessary? Also, sometimes updates are awful, so I try to read comments before updating, although there is usually someone who's not happy no matter what.

I went to make a phone call and it said you have no contacts. Logged on to google and all 200 something contacts were gone. Verizon and motorola solution was to factory reset the phone. Was able to recreate most of my contacts, and now today I am missing about 10 contacts.

Anyways the question is regarding the 2.1 update. I know many of you are like go search. But the thing is that this question has not been asked a lot from what I have seen on the forum. So considering that Verizon has the update, why are they toying with us and why don't they just release it all over the nation or on the Verizon site already?
View 30 Replies View RelatedI don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but since the last OTA update, my Eris was literally stuck in 1xRTT data mode for unknown reasons. I fiddled with all the mobile network settings I knew about to no avail.
On a lark, I dialed *611 to try to get tech support on the line. I figured that maybe the Seattle area was having some service issue or something. Instead, the tech suggested I try dialing *228 and hitting option 2 in the menu (essentially resetting the phone's roaming setup)
Boom goes the dynamite, as they say. After a reboot, my Eris is sailing on the winds of 3G awesomeness and it's all thanks to a Verizon tech giving the right answer. Never thought I'd actually utter those last six words.
Kinda wish I had just rooted my 1.5 and then gone 2.1 instead of the 2.1 v2 leak now... Is there any update on how to go back? Or is there any word on them rooting 2.1 v2?
