HTC Incredible :: Missed Notification / How To Get OTA Update?

Yesterday afternoon I had the notification on my incredible that an OTA was available. I inadvertently cleared the notification without installing and don't know how to get the update now. I have tried going to system update but it says nothing is available. I have also compared my software numbers to those posted by phandroid and I definitely have the old, non-updated versions. Will Verizon eventually push me another update or have I completely missed the boat?

I need to cancel the missed calls notification for a certain number. I've seen the NotificationMgr class on com.android.phone but i'm unable to call it trough reflection.

My only problem with the incredible, is a kinda big one. My old phone would vibrate or chirp until I acknowledged a missed call or text. I can not make the incredible do this. I downloaded a missed call application and either it doesn't work with the incredible or I am doing something wrong.

I have searched my HTC Incredible up and down but I can't find the option to set how often it rings to let you know that you have a missed call or text. Right now me phone only rings once. This is the most basic feature and there has to be a way to change but I can't find it for the life of me. Even my old razor let me set it to ring every 5 minutes or so for missed calls. I can hook my phone into my pc and stream internet off it but for the life of me I can't figure this out!

The update from 1-2 days ago or so, I guess. Now every time the app does it's job, it also gives an additional notice in the notification bar - A triangle with an exclamation point in it letting you know that you missed something. Driving me f'ing crazy! Anyone know how to disable that?...I can't figure it out.

Is there any program witch turns on/off Internet connection? Because some programs use Internet automatically and this cost me some money. And I need program witch repeat SMS notification (vibration and sound) in periods like 5min. I found "Alertsms" but I don't like it become it looks like I get two messages instead of one (one from peaople who is in my phone book and another from unknown number).

Is there anyway to change the notification of missed calls, so it shows up on the home screen similar to how new messages, SMS or voice mails show up. The little notification Icon at the top of the screen in the status bar is way to small and gets lost among all the other notifications. Not looking for something that blinks or changes the color of my LED.

I have a Droid Incredible and when the device is locked there is a message at the bottom that says I have a missed call. I looked in my call history and found nothing regarding ths call. I have subsequently removed my entire call history but this notification message still appears. how to get rid of this bogus message?

I read 100 notification threads w/o an answer. I have a Zedge ringtone that is the notification for a missed call and cannot change it; in fact, don't know how it got there. I even removed Zedge app. but it still plays. I want to change it to a simple Android tone.

Does anyone know how to get an audible notification for a missed call.I have tried the "Missed Call" application but it doesn't seem to give an audible notification.It will vibrate.I have a Nexus One and am really disappointed that this function isn't available on what is supposed to be a great phone.

I have written a little application that gives LED notification for missed calls. (the default behaviour gives you only LED notifications for SMS, email and voicemail).
Features:
Customizable sound, vibration, led, repeat notifications for missed calls, incoming calls, sms, bluetooth enabled/disabled, bluetooth device connected, airplane mode, battery level low, etc. Version 0.8.9 includes a Locale plug-in! any body else like a beep when you miss a call? thats what I'm after.I was using missed reminder but it keeps my phone at 100% awake.not sure how good that is for my battery life.does everybody just check there phone alot to see if you missed a call? LED doesnt do me much good because you cant see it when its in the phone holder.it would be nice if it worked like the email or the text message does.

Is there any way to get a notification of a missed text/call/etc? Like maybe an occasional flash of the screen?
I often keep my phone on silent so I don't always notice texts. My old phone had the LED light to notify me, and before that I had an iPhone which would flash the display with a notice about the missed text/call.
I'm aware of NoLED, but I tried it and wasn't a fan, the icons are annoying. Plus it seems like it would take up battery.

I have recently purchased the X10 Android, am I dreaming this. I can not fid any way of having an on screen notification of a missed call. On my old Sony when I missed a call it displayed it on screen, I could then call the person and it was great. I am now missing calls and unless I look in calls I would never know.

I need pop-up notifications of missed voice calls and SMS text messages. The pop-up should remain on the screen until dismissed/acknowledged. If the screen times out, I would like the message to reappear after I log in to the phone. Generally I can't get my phone out quickly enough to see the original message. I can't tell whether I've missed a call or a text message, so I have to check both. I find the missed call format especially unfriendly. I'm using Calendar Event Reminder and loving it. It would be great to find soemthing that works similarly for calls and text messages.
I must have installed some app or selected some option. About 5 minutes after missing a text message the phone produces an very annoying sound. I hope that when I install a new notification app or setting that this annoyance will go away.

Working on a new home screen. Trying to find a widget that displays notifications for the following:
Essential:
Sms
Missed calls
email
Not as essential:
Facebook
twitter
The widget needs to open the application too.Similar to how the iPhone works.Tried "missed" doesn't work how i wanted it to. Also using launcher pro plus 5*7.

I came across this in the marketplace. It basically lights up your screen on and off when you have a missed call or text. You have to option to set the frequency your screen flashes to notify you (every 5, 10 seconds, etc) and for how long this goes on (1 hour, 2 hours, etc) Gonna try it out. Not sure if it's a battery drainer or not, just trying it out myself.

I have literally tried everything to turn this off on my Motorola Cliq.
I went to my home screen, clicked menue, then settings.
I went to notification settings then to notification sounds. There is not a silent! I don't know how to make this sound go away!
I tried installing the "Missed Call" app, hoping that I could override the default settings on my phone, but it doesnt. Now I have two missed call notifications.

Got my android yesterday havent really played with it other than installing app killer, and checking to see if i could root(i cant :sadface and noticed on my mothers phone(same droid eris) that her notification light was blinking Green. i Checked the manual from the verizon website and all it mentions is green solid, red solid, and red blinking, nothing about Green blinking. It was not plugged in, it was not being used. I thought it was perhaps saying "hey you have a new message/email/missed call" but she had no notifications. anyone know what Blinking green means?

I seem to keep missing calls if I am away from my X10 for a couple of minutes, then have to keep checking the phone for the notification light flashing. Is there some way to set up the phone so that I get an alert every few minutes that I missed a call or an sms, mms etc.

I got impatient for 2.2 to roll out and i decided to give the leaked rom a shot and in the process i couldnt get any farther then updating the radio to 2x everything else would get errors unrevoked 3 woudnt work it wouldnt even notice my phone was there i updated driver etc but thats not my question how do i downgrade the radio i cant figure it out its not rooted its S-on everything is stock but the radio and vzw tech said ill never recieve update because of this and i tried doing the manuel update with failure it just aborted.

I got the notification for the HTC EVO update this morning, but I restarted the phone and now the update notification is gone. I went into settings ==> update to redownload, but nothing happens. i tried updating profile, firmware, PRL, and HTC software, nothing happens.
